New Layout = Improved Flow and Efficiency
มุมมอง 651วันที่ผ่านมา
We rearranged our packing area to get closer to uni-lateral flow. A fast flowing river is usually going in a straight line, and we want our products to do the same thing. We are trying to get away from people getting into each others way and unfinished goods crossing paths with finished ones. Enjoy! Be a local food hero! Awesome Update to our Nutrient System! (Hydroponics)
I love how they're called ponds. And nice improved set up.
I've had trouble with that brand of light, humidity making them arc I flicked the switch off and it kept going. They are wired to switch the negative. Bit dodgy, they work well and are good bang for buck. Wires are now flipped and all connectors siliconed. not a prob since.
Thanks for the tip! You’re right, they’re not the most robust light ever, but they’re simple and seem to last a really long time with a little maintenance.
@@GreenEase PPFD and spectrum seems suitable for purpose. I walked in to smelling Ozone. No good if your setup burns down.
Very nice! I would have guessed more then half an hour once a day. And Barrinas are the best, I use them too.
Im really enjoying your videos my friend!
I have no ideia of what these people understand as "food" and "nature", producing what they call as "food" in these factories. One sees no bug, no bird, no soil... Absolutely disgusting.
bro just discovered hydroponics. wow
If you look closely, you'll see this is located on earth. The bugs, birds, and soil is just outside the walls. And if you thought more about it, you'd be thanking us because most use chemicals which kill all three of these things, we just use walls and hydroponics.
How much cost total greenhouse set up please let me
It depends on a lot of things, but probably $350k
@@GreenEase Thanks very much
Thanks for the spreadsheet! Once the fertilizer is mixed, what does the process look like for adding it to the DWC reservoir? I’m wondering what dose of the nutrient mix is needed for a given volume of water. Ex: How would the fertilizer quantities be adapted for a smaller set up?
To scale down the recipe, change the number in the purple box. We don’t have an automatic fertilizer pump, so we just dump in a small amount from each barrel when the pond EC gets below the target.
It’s as simple as adding the mixed fertilizer to your water until the EC is where you want it. We use the Hanna EC and pH meter but there are cheaper ones out there that do a great job
Douglas is putting himself out of a job... Make sure you pay him appropriately.
💯
Beautiful! 🪴
Sounds like a great improvement, thanks for showing. “Best thing it has going for it is the color coding.” Lol 😂
It was true haha! Or maybe the drop seeder.. Im biased though 😂
Doesn't the nutrition vary depending on the plant?
For absolute optimum performance yes, but it's not as big of a thing as you may think. And since we are all in one system we don't have much of a choice anyways. We've never tried growing tomatoes with this low of an E.C., but I doubt a hungry Vine plant like that would do very good here.
greens don't need that high of EC about 0.8 - 1.2. if they had many fruiting plants that would require upwards of 2 and that's past lettuce's range and will get nutrient burn
Hello how you set water's nutrient ratio

Cool set up, seems very useful!
How to order sir?
Here is the link to the product. greenease.us/products/drop-seeder-quickplug-162 If you need any other size just email or call me. My contact info is available on my website.
Wait, adults need this level of instruction and prompting to keep a tiny toilet tidy. But, maybe this is why my husband never managed to put a clean plastic bag in the bin. I didn’t label it!
Needs a life
Yup
This is sexy!
I tried doing something like this at work for our inventory. didnt work unfortunately. and since we work with lots of medication and pharmacy ordering it turns my weekly inventory into a headache lol. but we have a pretty large team. hard to figure out who is causing an issue if you dont know who it is
Yes, building the culture that sustains this level of respect and cleanliness is very hard.
What would we ever do if there wasnt a label at the bottom of the trash can? This isn't remotely healthy. Firstly, this has nothing to do with being green. You are literally wasting paper each time you decide to print another label, which let's be honest is only to satisfy your own need to control others. This is ridiculous and unstainable both environmentally, and mentally. Also, your kids will resent you and this is never going to be something that they do on their own when they get older.
Hi Raj! This is a place of business with the cleanest bathrooms in the state. It takes almost zero effort or time to maintain this level because we don’t waste time asking each other where cleaning items are! We all make improvements to make the next persons job easier
The problem with that is you live like a twat. The rule of trash bags ?
What’s a “con-bond”?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanban this is probably a pretty complex article. But basically it’s just a card that sits somewhere in your stack of inventory that tells you when to re-order where to re-order and how much to order.
...too much. Just way too much
So 1500$ per kilogram? That's actually cheaper than heroin! 🎉
You know he has days of the week underpants
I was thinking this was a dispensary if everyone is so stoned they need labelling to this level
lol good idea
My god the level of ocd i love this. Labeled cabinets, yes please
Love how you put the trash bags back after shifting them lol
Need an ocd theme park.
@davidtinnerello1524 nah. Not a big enough market. The lines of people would be hella organized tho lol
Love the level of of cleanliness as a result of respect 👏
It's amazing just how much people don't care if it ain't their personal home. I work Overnight at Walmart, and the Maintenance crew cleans the bathroom almost first thing after the store closes, which means ONLY the employees are there from 11 to 6. It's amazing just how messed up the two bathrooms in the store will get, from just half a dozen guys (we have like 6-8 men vs about a dozen women) in a period of 7 hours. It's frankly disgusting when I walk in and find piss all over the seat because someone wants to treat the toilet like a urinal and is too lazy to lift the seat first, which is ridiculous because there's 2 perfectly good urinals in the same bathroom and I find it hard to believe that they're both in use every single night when someone needs to go. I will never understand why people are so disgusting and nasty when they aren't in their personal living space. The worst I do, is I drip water after washing my hands, knowing it will air dry just fine and won't create a mess.
Ya it’s so sad! Leaving it better than you found it is an easy thing to say but hard to practice. I make it a point to talk to the janitors because they make everyone’s life a lot better and hardly ever get thanked for it. Even at that I must admit I take clean bathrooms for granted sometimes
Wtf? Just add in stop/start button relay.
You can rig it to a flip switch and flip it on, then off when done. Just open the circuit and instead of the button make it a flip switch with 3 settings for forward reverse and off.
Thank you for your videos. Very interesting and informative. One question- How much is in retail? How much is your salads or one clamshell are sold for at the grocery stores?
Thanks so much for watching! We sell a 5 ounce spring mix clamshell for $3.20 and a 9 ounce spring mix clamshell for $5.30
A c clamp...
A C-vice clamp on the button should do it
Great thinking! But it needs to turn off when it gets to that post.
So what's the purpose of the raft anyway?
To grow hydroponic lettuce and herbs!
@@GreenEase I mean why is a single raft on a conveyor and being beckoned?
@YouChube3 those are empty ones that are being transported to the back of the greenhouse to get baby lettuce transplanted into them so the cycle can start all over again. After those are harvested, it’s a real pain and a lot of labor to get them to the back to start the cycle over again, but this made it super easy!
@YouChube3 in the video he has about 20 on there and he’s taking them to the other end of the greenhouse after being harvested.
Its awesome but the packaging anoys me for such an easy plant to grow, so much plastic just for a small amount and we all know how much basil shrinks in cooking
Limit Switch exist ...
I thought nobody sold NFT's anymore! (in all seriousness, great jig!)
Great idea! ✌️
Everyone so mad about the plastic; how else are you getting Basil from a grocery store? Chill out peeps. Thanks for the info man! This is big deal stuff, letting us into your space and giving your experience.
Yeah, no problem! Yeah, the plastic thing… If there was a better way we would all be doing it but it’s just reality right now.
What size are those ebb and flow trays? Iooks like a really efficient way to start a bunch of plants
Those are 4 x 8 foot trays from Botanicare
" a " metal .... so many options
Did you build yourself?
Yes we make them! You can buy one for yourself here! greenease.us/products/drop-seeder-quickplug-162
This space is grossly underutilized
Great info! Thanks for sharing.
Do those trays come with those plastic square plant supports? Where could I order some of those? Thank you.
Yes, that’s exactly how they come. They come with a little square hole and it’s raised up a little bit. They come from beaver plastics. bpgrower.ca
Try bpgrower.com/
You don’t have to thin out the seedlings as they grow? I thought you’re only are allowed to grow one seed when per container. Would appreciate your response.
We aim for 6 to 10 seeds per Plug on the basil. Not all of those will germinate and out of the ones that germinate a few will get shaded out by the others. So you end up with four or five strong plants. We don’t take time to thin them
What meter do you use to measure your calcium level? And what to measure the potassium?
There isn’t really a good handheld meter that I would trust to measure calcium or potassium. There are some out there, but their accuracy is debatable. We have a meter from Hannah instruments that we use to measure EC and pH. But for actual nutrient measurements we send off a water sample to a lab.
@@GreenEase Ya, I have a few EC and PH meters... I've been trying to pinpoint the cause of my tipburn when it arises. Thanks!
I should have talked more in this video about humidity. I feel like that’s a bigger player than I made it out to be. For us at least
Awesome content as always
Big rip off and so much plastic
Sooooo much plastic. Yeesh
I didn't realize you don't have to cover the seeds after placing them in soil
Yep that’s right!
