What LED strip is this?
This LED strip is designed for automotive purposes, so it is waterproof and requires 12V supply. That is why I used an eight × AA battery pack to achieve the needed voltage. Because of the short length, the consumption is very minimal, and the sphere can be left on consistently for days without a problem. I used weather stripping around the switch plug and exterior polyurethane mixed with double boiled linseed oil as finish. That means the sphere could technically be used outdoors.
@adrianwoodworm where can I buy it?
Hi Adrian. Would you mind providing more details on this led strip please? Where and what exactly do we need to purchase. Thanks.

That is a beautiful piece. I did think using a pot to hold the wood was a little sketchy. Maybe next time something a little safer and less likely to start an argument?
Ok so 25% water 75% paint on the first 2 coats. Then the 3rd and 4th coat is 100% paint Then 5th coat is 100% paint and also your final color correct? Thanks for any help
@ernie5187 yes, that's right, you got it. Also, give it a quick sanding after the first two coats, it makes a huge difference. Just like wood, the fibers of the fabric swell and rise up and cause a very rough surface.

Just came across your site today. Wow, Thank you for sharing your talent. Woodworking is really a product of our imagination and your imagination is quite amazing.
@kathymoser9750 thank you, I really appreciate your comment!🙏
That's a pretty neat tool, was just thinking you should be able to carve out a bowl shape on a log to use as a stand so your wife doesn't get mad again.
@cartier13 That is an excellent idea! 👍 Thanks for commenting!
Next time use a bucket for a stand!
@peterbarlow8912 trust me, I will never use anything from the kitchen again in my workshop😄 the bucket could work, good thought, although depending on the size of sphere you carve, it might be too big of an opening, but I will give it a shot the next time! 👍
Good morning 🌅, That looks like a great attachment, for an angle grinder, but do you think it puts too much load on the sed tool? Great looking piece of art, very well sculptured, great territorial on your new tool, look forward to seeing some more work, I’ve got some plans to make a Sam Malouf rocking chair , and I’m thinking of making a guitar pic stool , this tool will come in very Andy shaping the seat part, look forward to seeing your next project, regards from France,
@Hog-g2z I don't think the tool is too hard on the anglegrinder. The reason mine broke is because I heavily abused it in the last 10 years, and it just finally gave up😄 I think it would work great for the seat part of your chair project! Cheers!
😂 No worries here! My wife would have to know what a pot is first! 😂 Neat toy. That would be great tool to create contour on wall art.
🤣
great video👍
Thanks!

great job .. this is beautiful
Thank you!
It’s a cool tool, and I could see myself adding one some time in the future to really punch up my artwork. Thanks for providing a breakdown on time. How large a diameter did you carve?
@Jered-Wilson The one in this video has a diameter of 12 inches. I made another one off camera with a diameter of 14 inches, and I am planning to make an even bigger one pretty soon. I highly recommend this tool. It is so much fun and very easy to learn!
Nice Project👍. Loved the humor🙂

@@adrianwoodworm I just saw the price. It hurt a little but in time it will be mine!!
If you live out west in the U.S. you can get a firewood permit and cut wood to use. It’s not free but then you can cut wood that’s denser like pinyin or juniper that’ll burn longer vs softer wood like aspen or cottonwood.
That is interesting, thanks for sharing!
Good grief! What’s it like to have so much talent?? Does an amazing job tailoring a suit for a boat in a cramped shed, then casually freehands some professional signwriting on the back!! Not to mention explaining the whole process in ways us mere mortals can understand - complete with diagrams. Kudos sir, your skills and efforts are appreciated ❤
Thank you! 😆 I am glad you liked this video, and I really appreciate that you took the time to leave such a positive comment! Cheers!
Sage advice. Sometimes I think it’s a miracle any of us are still alive!
I agree! The amount of dangerous things I did in the past without getting seriously injured is astonishing!
Lots of great ideas! I love this 👍
Thank you!
Never buying from bang good again. Ordered a dowel cutter in imperial measurements. They sent me a metric one instead. Contacted them and they said I could return it at my cost! I said no, they refused to refund my money. Went on AliExpress, bought the same cutter with extra inserts (something bang good didn't offer) for less overall cost and git the correct thing. I can't justify doing business with a company that doesn't offer any buyers protection!
I am sorry you had such a bad experience. Thank you for sharing and commenting!
I was going to compose an elaborate comment but I think WOW will more than suffice! 👍😎
😅thank you Anthony, much appreciated🙏
And yet again, you just blew my mind. I can only imagine how much time and patience you put into your projects. Another work of art!
@MJLWoodWorks Certainly a lot more time than most would think when watching these videos😅 The timelaps sections and the fact that I don't show every detail to keep the video in a acceptable timeframe, give some viewers a wrong impression. The whole finishing process took longer than the build itself, for example. Anyway, thank you for watching and commenting again! Cheers!
@@adrianwoodworm Even the simplest of projects take time. As a maker, I totally understand how much time my simple projects take but, you take things to a higher level of artistry that I can only hope to attempt one day. I can't imagine the amount of time it took to get the rounded sides to be as identical and parallel to each other. And the details. How do you come up with these ideas? I seriously hope you are being taken seriously as an artist and custom creator in the public as well as here on YT. You deserve it. Be well!
Another gorgeous piece!

Glue in the miter slot? I can hear the histrionics now 😂😂😂 First, birch is by far the most underutilized species. Such of lovely color and always has that right amount of spalting. Second, the simplicity of using skewers as a design element....GENIUS 👌 Love how your piece is a fusion of art deco with just a hint of steam punk. Nicely done Adrian
@vulgarwoodworks I agree, birch is underestimated. Since I mill most of the lumber I work with myself on our property, the choices are limited. We have lots of balsam fir, cotton wood, the odd spruce, and lots of birch on our lot, with birch being my absolute favorite. Easy to stain and to machine and stunning when spalted! Thank you for tuning in! Cheers!

J'avoue que le titre m'a trompé mais, très beau travail ! Penses-tu que tu pourrais / aurais pu intégrer la barre de son dans le projet ? Merci, bonne continuation ! 🤗
Yes, that would definitely have been possible. While that is a great idea esthetically, I don't like to integrate electronics in furniture unless I am convinced of the quality enough to trust it to last a long time, or I have the option to have a second item in stock for replacement. This soundbar is new to me, so I am not sure how much I like it yet, and it is far too expensive to have a second one as a backup. It would be a shame to be left with an empty, custom size slot in this piece. Thank you for watching and commenting!

I know most of us came to your channel for the houseboat build but honestly, these small "furniture" builds showcase your immense tallent and are exactly the format that have made other channels go viral. If i was on social media orrhad any sort of "influence", I would sing your praises from the highest heights. Alas, all i can do is like and comment to appease the algorithm gods.
