Hello, Abiding In Him Is Believing In His Son Jesus, Yeshua. I love scripture but when the branches wither and die a lot of brothers and sisters believe if they fall and dry up and are cut off they think that you are saying they are cut off and thrown in the fire, that the meaning of dead brothers and sisters That they are not righteous in Christ Jesus anymore, so can you explain this, can you make sure to explain that the branches that dry up and fall that this is not explaining or comparing this to our brothers and Sisters In Christ and everyone falls daily so if you were a branch fell and dried up does this mean you will be thrown in the Fire and not a Christian anymore? our brothers and sisters In Christ Jesus and when The Lord says that abiding in Him Is Believing In Christ Jesus this is what The Lord Means when He Says Abide In Me abide In His Son John 3:16 17 1q8 19 and so on Whom so ever Believes In Him will not perish but have everlasting Life Whom So Ever and never perish

So glad i came across this video. It is the Catholic reading for today. I was led to this chapter the first time I read scripture with the intention of meeting somebody. long story. Good story. I worked with tomatoes as a kid but never grapes. Similar process but not the same. Would have like to continue but the Lord had other plans. I have been a teacher for 34 years. long story. Pruning along the rows. When i say something the kid needs to hear but that is unpleasant the kid does not get angry because in his heart he knows it is good for him and I care about him. It hurts but a good hurt. a healing hurt. And it is so vital for us to know that somebody cares for us so ardently. Its in our DNA. The Lord loves the workingman. He did not pick scholars as apostles. No BS. Eloquent testimony.

My Take on this - Jesus is the vine and the father is the one who prunes, All branches that don't bear fruit are cut off, because that's what you do with vines. The branches are people, people who are pruned are the believers, those who are not believers are the branches that are cut off. The fruit comes from believing, when you believe you are pruned to bear more fruit. *"15:2 Every branch in me that bears no fruit, he takes away; and every one that bears fruit, he purges it, that it may bear more fruit. 15:3 You are already clean, because of the word that I have spoken to you. * The pure (katharos) branches are cleansed (kathairō) by the word (logos) that Jesus has spoken to them. John 1:1-5 (1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.(2) The same was in the beginning with God.(3) All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.(4) In him was life; and the life was the light of men.(5) And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Thanks! I'd contacted another ministry recently asking if they had a teaching on John 15 & THIS IS WHAT I WAS ASKING FOR! (They didn't have anything on it.) But, I'm grateful I did call & ask that Pastor's administration for it because the algorithm apparently pointed this video you made over to me in my YT feed for me to finally get what I believe is accurate description on what Jesus meant in those scriptures.

I wanted to watch this because I've heard that "takes away" can mean lift up or remove in John 15. So I've always been confused on what exactly does a vinedresser do. Do they lift the vine so it can get more light and then remove it when it continues not to yield fruit? Or do they just simply cut it off? Definitely a good example of why we must study and continue to wrestle with the scriptures. 1 interpretation but many applications and God's Word is DEEP. Having an illustration like this is very helpful so thank you.

I still don't get why He is the vine and not the trunk? Confused by scripture itself

I teach Bible study in China each week. Thursday I will cover John 15. I show the scripture in Chinese first and they read it in Chinese and then I read in English. My translator helps with any words that need further translation or pronunciation. Then I discuss the meaning and application, assisted by my translator. Now that I have discovered your video, which includes cc (closed cations), I can show subtitles in Chinese so that they can understand what you are saying, in their native Chinese. Thank you, thank you! And one of my class members is a wine wholesaler/retailer. She will just love this! Now you will be seen and heard in China, Taiwan, Mexico and South Korea (my class is pretty dispersed, thanks to Zoom). Thanks for your discipleship!
