I've used the fast track books for both my tech and general. However the math on the extra was well beyond my math background. Ordered the fastrack extra book, and got comfortable enough to take and pass my extra last week. To my surprise, my question pool did not contain a single math question! Glad I was prepared, and had the math confidence going into the exam.

Hi. I tried to google tan-1 ((250-500)/1000) and its .3894. Can you please calculate step by step because I'm a little confused right now. Thanks. BTW I thought that tan is the opposite side divided by adjacent side.

I will have my General after I take the test on 08/12/2023 and I am already looking toward the Extra Class ticket. Why? Because as you said it stretches the mind and as a retired 70+yr old I need to keep stretching my mind and ham radio is a fun way for me to do that. I was a nerd in HS in the 60's, but couldn't learn code so I did CB radio instead. Learned some stuff and then got married, job the usual stuff, and left it behind. Now I come back and I am more engaged and committed to the technical side of the craft. You have been a big, huge, tremendous help in that regard. I just got the workbooks for General and Extra and will now dive into the math (not my strong suite) with gusto and LEARN it. 73 Alvin/KN6ZVI

The example of how to use the TI-30XS was invaluable. I know how to use some of those fancy keys now. Reminds of when I was trying to learn how to use my TI-83 graphing calculator in my college statistics class. I did and got a B in the class, but I no longer know how to use that device. Oh, and one of my math profs would take you to task for using that leading zero in front of the decimal point. He contended it was redundant and told the class (trig) never to use it, ever and so I don't and I cringe every time I hear or see the leading zero. It's just me. You're the prof here so if you use it then it's cool. After all it is your class. 73 Al/KN6ZVI

I would like to see more of the math involved at each step. I still don't know how much current (amperes) is flowing because I don't know the R of the lamps. Is there a way to find that out with out using a meter? Inquiring senior minds want to know.

I just wish you would only give the right answers and leave off the not right answers. I have 4 weeks to go and this video has reminded me of how I studied for all the ICC code certification I took (and passed on the first time each). I am committed to the Technicians test and passing in 4 weeks.

At time 2:14 Why use 6.28 for pi? I was taught in my electronics class that pi is 3.14 😮

The Voice is too much. It sounds unnatural and is distracting. Sorry, I'm sure you do a good job of explaining the subject matter but its annoying. If your channel is growing so fast why do you have less than 3000 subscribers after 5 years. Delta between when this video was uploaded and when I watched it.

This was very good! One thing though... that negative sign out in front of the tangent operator. I think that instead of indicating a reciprocal, as in 1/tan or something, it's more appropriate to call it the inverse tangent, or perhaps, it means the angle for which the tangent equals what is in the parentheses.

I'm not sure why but I'm getting -.2449 when I put this into my TI84+ EDIT fixed my own problem. Mode > switch Radians to Degrees... 🤦🏽😂

I don't give a rat's @$$ what "the research" says about highlighters. Tossing out unnecessary articles and conjunctions and focusing on the relevant words or characters that tend to become associated with each other without a person consciously trying to associate them; is what highlighters do. Moreover all that dull black text is like watching the lines on a highway for too. You become hypnotized until you pass out and crash. And just you know, I have an Advanced License , which means I had to learn all this DULL, TEDIOUS "Stuff" AND learn learn Morse code to 13 WPM to pass the General at the time. A good deal of this stuff is not useful. It's not relevant. In my side gig of computer system building and repair, I don't need to understand all the theory and procedure that goes into building a microprocessor in order to build or repair a computer system. I only need to know relevant and PRACTICAL aspects that make the process of installing the correct processor correctly AND not how to properly clean the Clean Room where chips are manufactured and most of ham radio is just this sort of unnecessary clutter. I know how to study for tests. I am in the midst of prepping for the Extra and I HATE IT and the subject matter but I am going to take that license exam and I AM going to pass it...Then toss all that ridiculous jargon and babble .

umm i didnt under stand one thing like if example if inductance is 2h and cappacitance is 2f so will the resonance frequency be 4khz,4mhz or 4 ghz?
