Why would you install this? Don’t you want your engine to remain as hot as possible? Otherwise this will cause sut buildup.
its "A"Symmetric, not "ahh" symmetric
Word to the wise , I have a 2021 250. The dipstick bracket does not fit you will need to cut off some of your stock bracket to be able to bolt your dipstick on the intake. Also, he does not state it here but you WILL need to use the supplied ORing for the MAF sensor, the stock O ring is too small it will leak tons of air if you use it.
What color is that?
That's our latest signature color, Pusher Bronze
@ do you have a set up for the 23’ powerstroke that has an EGR delete?
So what I am learning is if my off road 6.7 has been deleted of def and egr that whole factory assembly is useless?
It is legal to use in California ? Have a CARB # ?
CARB pending; but it is currently certified for the other 49-states. CARB status will likely be awarded in next several months (early-mid 2025).
@@pusherintakes Thank you, I will start on my 2022 with your intake manifold which already have a CARB # first then.
You guys should include the oring to that pipe since you have to remove it, now mine is leaking, dealer only Oring Smh 🤦🏽♂️ and a spare oring for the fitting would be cool lol
Just ordered the full kit in Bronze…excellent buying experience.
Bro I literally sent you the set up for this from fleece about 4 years ago. Lol love it man. Looks good.
excellent video. in process of a DCR upgrade and I believe this is an excellent time to upgrade to PUSHER!!
Will this fix my leaky turbo water hose? 2012 Ram 2500 6.7L
Dose the work for my 09 dodge 6.7 where’s the line that goes under manifold that bolt into turn line to hold coolant how would I go about that
Doesn’t seem to evenly mix EGR gasses like OEM does, kind of defeats the purpose of the EGR 🤦♂️, I’ll pass.
Where does everyone get the dust caps to go on the injectors after removing the fuel lines?
Any luck on finding the name of these caps? Looking to take on this job soon
@@jarrettferguson8596nope
Has anyone had issues with the oil dipstick tube? Like having to trim and bend the tube?
I am. I’m not sure how you would be able to remove the fuel filter without cutting the front mounting tab off so the dipstick tube can be bent around it.
Eh not a fan with reusing the riser. Do you have a kit that goes all the way to the pump?
G&R does for $45
Not an engineer or a mechanic here, but does the EGR location allow even distribution of exhaust gasses into either bank of the engine? Perhaps the purpose of the restriction and turbulence on the factory part allows better mixture of those gasses with the combustible air. As long as the EGR gas doesn't favor running to either the left or right bank at different flow rates, there shouldn't be an issue, but if not could this cause a mixture imbalance on both banks, one lean, one rich which could lead to differential power, soot and temperature on opposite heads?
Exactly, you hit the bail on the head, they are selling shinny snake oil
What did you use to get the old coolant spigot out where the plug goes… mines really siezed, I can get a 1” wrench on it but can’t even move it
A deep socket and breaker bar usually gets the job done. Depending on the wall thickness of the socket, you may have to loosen the upper valve cover to get it onto the adapter.
@ thank you I appreciate your response lol.. that is my issue my socket is too thick and won’t get down on it cuz the valve cover is in the way 😞
@@Saa45MIV - Ah, gotcha. The valve cover only has six bolts - you can just loosen them and shift it over a little bit to get enough clearance. It's probably only an extra five minutes of work.
I have a 2016 2500 85k miles Live in Georgia. I just learned of this problem and was wondering what the frequency is of this occurring. My dealer stated it was due to heavy corrosion to which I have none. Georgia never has snow then uses brine. So is this something I should jump on soon? How would corrosion get under the grid? Thank you in advance for ideas.
Between the instructions and this video instal was super straight forward and works great. 1 hint, plan an oil change at the same time so you can pull the oil filter, gets the tube off WAY easier
Thanks for the feedback and tips! Glad it smoothly 😎
@@pusherintakesthank you for making a killer product! Seriously saved me 1200 bucks and got my race truck back on the track 🤘
Dose the work for my 09 dodge 6.7 where’s the line that goes under manifold that bolt into turn line to hold coolant how would I go about that
Near the end of the video it looks like the gasket is out of place on the EGR inlet to the intake. Is that true or are there multiple bolt holes in the gasket?
Good eye - it's not out of place, but rather the gasket has a little extra tab. That excess is just part of the OEM manufacturing process - their tooling holds onto the gasket at that point to be able to crimp the sides to shape.
OK, I just did mine with a BD kit. Whoever said this was 2-3 hour job I'd like to see it. Likely, if you have done a few I suppose. BUT, if you are just somewhat mechanically inclined and just have normal tools in your garage and can usually figure out how to get these things done without paying $250/hr to a garage, you better have a full day set aside. NOTE: find the correct 19mm angled open end wrench before you get started. What a MFR! Also, when scraping the carbon out of the intake and off the grid heater, be very aware of the absolute mess that will make. My wife about killed me. Also, I can tell my truck is breathing much better after cleaning all that carbon/ crap out of there. Good luck!!
Will the 13-18 kit work on a 19 2500?
does this work on the stock oem turbo? also this doesnt mess with any electronics correct?
i have a custom tune that a friend and i put on and he doesnt have the delete device anymore.... there wont be any random goofy codes popping up right?
This is designed to work with factory turbo and does not impact any electronics.
@@casegunnell2148 - There shouldn't be any, but being as custom tunes are individual we can't speak to all. If something did pop up we'd be happy to help you figure it out, but it's unlikely to happen.
Hello, What’s the labor time on this install?
@@chorizo_ent7018 - This is a pretty intermediate / advanced install - likely about 3 hours on average
Do you need to tune your truck with this intake upgrade?
This system is for a truck that is already tuned for off-road use. Depending on your individual tune, you may or may not need to adjust it. Ex: If you are still running your CCV in the stock setup, the tune would need to be adjusted. And some tunes (and this is a minority) have MAF parameters that are set too tightly that need to be adjusted for the extra airflow. Overall, most customers already have tunes in place that cover this no problem, but some need to adjust. (For a completely tune free option, check out our Powerflow Intake Manifold and Turbo Inlet Package!)
I bought this kit a couple years ago when I was swapping to a fixed vain. I have a smaller hose coming off the riser going to the top of the reservoir and the larger one obviously going back to the fire wall, is this incorrect?
That's correct, the way you have it.
Been there, done that with my '17. Don't be fooled for one moment. Those back injector lines are an absolute bitch to get to. A shit ton of work. And ya wanna know the truth? Removing the grid and installing a GDP intake yielded me no noticeable improvements. Yeah, it's cleaner and looks cool, but that's about it. But hey, don't take my word for it. LOL. Anyway, great video. Thanks!
doesn't the coolant run through the turbo?? Did you just completely disregard that?
Yes - the coolant for the turbo returns to the boss on the coolant riser tube just under where we installed the adapter. As mentioned in the video, this particular truck used for this video had a fixed geometry turbo previously installed, and therefore there was a plug in that boss. We still left the boss there in case he ever switched back to an OEM style charger.
Where can i purchase this?
You can find this on our site, pusherintakes.com - under 'Shop by Vehicle' you'll pick your make / model.
No 2012 CARB legal kits.
Should have said the torque specs in the video
I installed this yesterday, it’s awesome!!! My advice is to take your time and set a full day aside. It fits but ITS TIGHT! Awesome kit and great customer service!! 1:26
Awesome, thank you for sharing!
couldn’t get my map censor in the intake horn any tips ?
Silicone lubricant should help - if it doesn't, give us a call or text 772-212-9290 and we'll help you out.
Have you added an oil dipstick tab yet? Why do I have to cut/ modify my oil dipstick? I’m still waiting for that mod….
Looks sharp!
I just ordered this kit for my 18’ 6.7 Cummins. I have a Fleece Cheetah 63 mm and ARP 2000 studs. Will that be enough for the boost psi?
Awesome! Those mods will work great with this system; if you'd like to email us at sales@pusherintakes .com to go over any other mods / recommendations we're happy to help.
@@pusherintakes I will, thank you!!
Just starting to upgrade my 2020 F350. Will be ordering your intake with hot and cold side pipes soon as I receive my bonus, I am unfortunately keeping my emissions (state). Question about the coolant reroute kit, it says not emission compliant on the website, I honestly don't understand why a coolant line has anything to do with emissions, or is it because my EGR will be in the way? From my understanding and what I have read/seen on video, your double O-ring connector is by far a superior product over the factory one that has a tendency to leak.
The EGR will be in the way most likely, reach out on their website.
So do you gain anything and do you need to remap your tune ? Thx great video.
Will a check engine light pop up because of the delete?
do I get the kit with the egr if my truck is deleted?
Excellent video. Detailed and explained briefly & clearly, & concisely. My first ever diesel and am learning a ton. Thanks!
You did not show it on your video but what do you do with the other line coming off of the reservoir tank
It varies by model year of the truck; that line exists only on 2013+ model year trucks and gets capped where it joins to the coolant tank. The line from the top of the radiator to the tank handles any purging that needs to happen in the cooling system.
Great install video. I'm planning on getting one of your kits, either the one you show here with your filter or the one that works with the stock filter and getting a Banks ram air. Do you have any air temp and density data for your airbox?
Too bad this isn't available for the 11-16 trucks
You are correct that it is not available on 2011-14 trucks (with the stock GT32 SST turbo). However, the 15-16 trucks are good to go with the Powerflow, as well as any 11-14 trucks that have an aftermarket 15 or 17+ style turbo. Call us if you have any questions on that! 772.212.9290
What about the 11-14 years?
(THE COOLANT DRAIN TO THE RESIVOIR GETS A PLUG NOT SHOWN IN VIDEO BUT COMES WITH THE KIT)
Where is the coolant drain on the reservoir I have the plug but where do I put it
Do you sell the EGR delete as well?
Hi, no, we don't - this system is for race trucks that are already tuned for off-road use.
You're videos are the best. Very informative and detailed. I will be calling you guys next week and buying the upper intake/turbo inlet combo and the hot and cold side tubes. Great looking products and excellent presentation. Thanks!
Great looking system. I just had to replace my cold side pipe after it ripped. With 80,000 miles, I could not believe the carbon buildup I had caked in the EGR part of the throttle body/intake area. I get how it the stock EGR area could clog with the poor airflow and areas for it to accumulate. Based on your testing, does your system flowing the EGR in a smoother area closer to the intake will this cause that carbon buildup more into the engine area or does the engine burn it off more efficiently?
31-July-2024 anyone considering this kit - it's great, but the airbox they provide is shit .. the rubber gasket they provide was not heat cycled and it comes apart leaving a gap in the airbox and the airbox clips coming undone making it rattle . Pusher has known about this for years and there is still no fix ... proceed with your own discretion
