Started taking out the outer toilet. Still full of leftover remnants, before realizing I could just take off that top peice. Then I found it it was the T connector behind it that was leaking >.<

Thanks to this video, my shitter is no longer full...of leaks. The only thing I could add to the information in the video is that applying a bit of rubber conditioner to the rubber seal under the plastic sliding gate on the flush valve while the toilet is upside down resolved the issue that I had with that valve sticking slightly open. Now a little water is sitting on top of that sliding gate and the resulting water seal keeps the stink down nicely.

Only comment, take the toilet out in the sun and put it on a tripod or something so we can see. Otherwise, great instruction!

Learn how to hold a camera, learn proper lighting, don't video the mundane actions such as waiting on you to find a screwdriver, unbolt or unscrew a bolt. very simple.

Did you reuse your closet flange gasket? Did you notice that the new flange gasket was different from the new one? I need to find the original one.

I haven't had to take the seat off. Thank God! New seal fit mine. But they are rubber so the old one should work just fine.

Appreciated, worked great. The problem I had with mine is that it no longer triggered the water release, but was stuck open enough that it constantly leaked water. I'd have to shut my water supply off when I left or at night to prevent overflow What I noticed when I took the plate off was that the metal arm was cocked and not sitting in the lever right. That was probably the cause of the issue, not the part, though the water flow is much stronger now, so it was worth doing. Also worth noting, the new seal that came with the kit did not fit, so I had to use the original.

Thank you greatly couldn't figure out how to get that top cover off and it was that 1 expensive screw way back in there you showed. Ordered my new valve and replacing when it gets here. $30 Amaz. 2-day shipping

Thank you for this. The instructions that came with my valve were less than clear, the diagrams didn’t match up and I was missing a screw. With your help, I spent more time cleaning than I had to spend repairing. So far, so good, and my toilet even flushed quieter now.
