I really felt bad for Annie. She literally had PTSD from her games, the tsunami literally shook her, and shortly after she won, a spidee jumped on her. It must be traumatic because she might think that the gamemakers would set her up again because they knew her weakness.
I can’t be the only one who pretends he did die and him and Annie lived a very long happy life together ❤ I would rather live in this denial of a fictional character then except what happened. It’s fiction my opinion can’t hurt anyone
I like how on the screen you can almost a slight bit of anger or annoyance and Finnicks face as he’s reaped and then he looks off to his left (our right) towards Annie and Mags.

I think it was very important that Annie had extreme PTSD it really added depth and reality to the story.

yall should read the fanfiction "where soul meets body" its soamazing and its from annies pov from her realing until the end of mockingjay. its sad bur so worth it. highly reccomend!! so many amazing finnick and annie scenes in it as well.

Yes!! That was one of my favorite fanfics ever. It was so well written that I considered it as cannon. I never finished it though bc of what happens with Finnick 😔 even before the chapter and all the trauma is so so heartbreaking
I just finished it yesterday! I literally cried. I definitely consider it to be canon and need at least a month to recover.

Question: how does the very end compare to Finnick? What does Katniss and the baby have to do with Finnick?
Just a guess but I think it’s just her also remembering the friends she’s lost and telling the baby.
She copes with her bad dreams by listing and remembering every good thing she’s seen others do. She does it over and over, every time. I think the point is that Finnick’s selfless acts of love isn’t only remembered by Annie. The continued thought of them, and others, is what’s keeping Katniss sane, her coping mechanism.
They literally deserved better :(

honestly I kinda wish we got more of annie cresta, like in character development and stuff
give the fanfiction “Where Soul Meets Body” a try. it’s on fanfiction.net. it’s in annie’s pov. it starts when she’s reaped and ends after mockingjay. so not only do you get to know her character, you get to see her games and her relationship with finnick. it gets sad and it hurts, but it’s a great story.
