Cinematic Sound Design | How To Make BRAAMS
In this video I am doing some sound design from scratch and decided to turn on the camera and explain my process in case that might be helpful for anyone. The specific sound I am making today is called a BRAAM, it's that big, attention-grabbing horn/synth/impact sound thats often used in trailer music. I compose a good amount of trailer music and sometimes I need to take a step back and create some of my own unique sounds to spice up my productions and add some life back into my sound.
BRAAMs are make up of a few layers, usually a hit, some synths, brass and other SFX and sound sources to give it some cool character. Then all of those layers get processed, bounced to audio and added into a playable Kontakt instrument that I can use when I'm composing.
I hope this video is helpful to anyone interested in composing, sound design, or even filmmakers/video editors.

I've been trying to record guitar with the signal split to two mono outputs and various pedals. When I try to input these two mono signals into logic as input 1 and input 2 I can only get one or the other, but not both at the same time. I've tried creating an aggregate input but that didn't work either.
