What oil do you guys use please ?

Rozumiem, że nie potrzebny jest żaden zawór spustowy? Wystarczy odkręcić korek spustowy oleju i już? Pytam, bo widziałem film, gdzie bez takiego zaworu spustowego nie chciał olej zlecieć.

This should be a video on how NOT to do this procedure. You overfilled the oil. The fact that oil spilled out the fill area is proof that someone overfilled it on the change BEFORE this one also.

Abs light will usually do this until you set off, I think?

Does anybody know the difference between the Motul SAE80W90 GEARBOX and HD? Rafal is using the HD for his oil change but I'm curious to know if the GEARBOX would be better or not (well, at least it is more expensive)! Thanks!

這顆洩油螺絲很脆弱，要用扭力板手照手冊扭力值鎖，不可鎖太大力，否則容易斷裂，這一顆螺絲將近NT$600台幣，我就因此買了一顆，叫貨等了三個月

12 Nm for drain bolt, 8 Nm for refill bolt - correct torque values. Refill bolt is made from plastic and can be easily snapped off if over torqued. Bike should be on side stand not centre stand when final drive is filled up with new oil. Oil quantity varies between 200 - 210 ml.

My traction control light has stayed on after I wheeled the bike backwards with the ignition on, any ideas how to reset?

I think you should put a little oil in the filter before installing....so piglets everywhere before starting the engine. Cheers.

Just bought a VFR 1200 and your video was very helpful. It only has 4300 miles but I don't think the final drive oil had ever been changed. For those of you who don't know, the bike feels MUCH smoother after the final drive oil change. BIG difference!

i have additional plastic cover (Japanese version) in front of exhaust pipes that hold left and right engine cover together. can’t see how to remove it, so I bend engine cover when change oil and filter.

Did you put the rad guard on? How bad does the rad get damaged without it?

Level is only correct on the side stand, you overfilled the oil.

Good video thanks. Handbook dosnt mention putting back on mainstand to refill. Does the actual service manual say that. Flicked through a pdf online manual couldn't find details.

Hi Rafal, I have a VFR in Brazil and will soon do the final shaft oil change. Do you have to warm the oil before the change? Maybe a quick ride with the bike to warm up the oil?

Yea. My VFR1200Fd usually does thst with the blinking ABS light when its been sitting for a week without riding it. It means low battery. after you ride it and the battery charges up the same day the ABS light does not blink when you start it up.. Now If it keeps doing it after you have ridden it the same day , means you need to get a new battery.

18 abs blinks means low battery (in need to be replaced soon) or it may appear at restart after a very short ride (batt charge not yet restored).

Make a little chute out of tin foil over the exhaust pipes avoids getting oil on them when you loosen the filter👍
