    I sold mine and I don’t miss it at all. Never payed for the Desmo service and I’m very happy about that. It is a beautiful and capable bike but so is the Honda XR650L or the Suzuki is even better and you can get the 2024 models for under $8000. Owning the desert sled felt like having a Russian wife/girlfriend that’s obsessed with materialistic things. Get a Suzuki, no $1000 Desmo, $300 oil change, $300 flushes, no 6 neutrals, no worrying about scratching it. Also the aftermarket on Suzuki and Hondas is unlimited compared to Ducati. You will be married to the dealership if you own any Ducati.

    • @SuchanBajracharya
      @SuchanBajracharya หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well, owning any bike is a commitment, and you need to do regular maintenance on it for your own safety. Yes, Honda and Suzuki are cheaper to maintain. To me, a motorcycle is a machine that connects with the rider, and you need to have fun. Enjoy the experience. Don't baby it too much, take it to the places where it belongs with your loved one! Having ridden several Japanese bikes to me this Ducati brings a big smile on the face and worth every penny. Ride safe 🙏

    Hi friend. Sadly in India they have discontinued the desert sled, and so I am looking at buying a used 2018 model with 20k kms on it. A lot of people say buying a used Duc is a risky prospect, wondering what your take on that might be. Also, how has your experience been in terms of parts availability in Nepal, whether you have faced any significant delays etc. thanks man and continued safe travels.

    • @SuchanBajracharya
      @SuchanBajracharya 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, I'm sad to hear it being discontinued, but on a bright side, the bike is now even more valuable! I bought a used DS too with a high km count. The previous owner didn't do proper maintenance and servicing on it, and I had some issues in the beginning. However since then I have made many improvements on it, timely maintenance and taken good care so now the bike is as good as new and even my mechanics says that my bike is performing better and looks in great condition than when I first bought it. So yes, the moral of the story takes good care. With great care, your Ducati will last a lifetime!
