Can't really decide if it's worth it to spend almost double for the Classic Vibe series, instead of this.
I just like watching people play and trying to figure out how they’re doing it .
That was a big way I learned how to play. I started with some lessons but then just watched peoples’ hands while they played. Thanks so much for watching, and never stop jamming! 🍻
Great playing, and that guitar is a beauty! Something about a cherry burst always gets me! I think I'd really love to see you in a band gig. No singing, just play! That smile every so often make me just wanna see you play that guitar! Keep doing what you're doing bud!
I appreciate it so much! Thank you!
Wait... strat?!? Looks like a tele to me.
Yeah. They called it a Nashville Stratocaster, but I sounds and plays like a Tele. Great guitar! I’ve been having fun gigging with it!
Very cool concept of introducing the band. Curious to know if you also needed to explain to audience what live looping is?
Thanks! I have had to explain that too. I sometimes have people ask about my “backing tracks,” and I have to tell them I don’t have any. 🤣
@@OneRayMusic Yup, I even tried explaining to my parents and they don't understand what I am doing!😀
Oh no! Sounds about right. It’s really not that difficult to understand, but if you’re not a musician, I guess you never really think about things like that. Never stop jamming, and have a great weekend! 🍻
Like any artistic talent... First, and for most you must do it for the love of doing it. As soon as that love becomes requirements, or a job to survive you will quickly notice that love start to spoil. I used to love doing graphic design, but soon as money, deadlines, and apposing views became part of the equation it wasn't long before I hated every moment of it. If you're happy with how everything is in this moment now... That's all that matters. Don't push it, Let it take you.
I couldn’t agree more! Having the pressure definitely sours things. Despite everything, I do still love what I do and couldn’t see me doing anything else. Doing something you love for a living is the ultimate goal, eh? 👊🏻😎 Thanks so much for writing! I really appreciate it and wish you the best! Have a great weekend! 🍻
@@OneRayMusic Excellent! Keep at it bud!
Thanks again!!
How are you? If you don’t remember me my name is Braden Cain you used to be my substitute teacher
I’m doing pretty good. Thanks for asking! I do remember. I hope you’re doing well and are having a good year, too! I appreciate you watching!
@@OneRayMusic that’s good to hear. I’m now a junior in high school and go to another school for IT
Good luck this year, and thanks again for watching!
Hall Michelle Anderson Thomas Lopez Karen
Thanks, I think! 🤣
Come to texas pleeeaase!!!!
I love Texas! I’ve played in Fort Worth, Arlington, and Austin! What part of Texas are you in? Thanks for watching and responding! 🍻
If you ever make it to Nashville I'll do my best to go see you.
Nashville is high on my list! I haven’t played there since 2012! 😳🤣 Thanks so much for watching and responding! I really appreciate it! 🍻
Nice! Another cool review...I like how you do them. Dig the playing too.
I’m so glad you’re enjoying them! That’s awesome! Keeps me going! 🍻
@@OneRayMusic buy the 60's series tone riders Nashville pick ups. Its 130$ and makes it sound so much better/ 130$ dollar pick ups and and it makes it sound like a thousand dollar guitar . brass saddles woke it up to but tonriders are insane.
@@davidrichardson9174I’ll have to check those pickups out! Thanks for the lead! I’ve thought about brass saddles, too! Thanks again!
Nice playing! I have been pondering buying one for a year. I may check on one tomorrow.
Thank you so much! Did you end up checking one out?
@@OneRayMusic I am calling to see if they have one today. I`m mostly a bass player but I can play a fair guitar too. I record songs at home being retired.
That’s really cool. I think you’ll enjoy the Bass VI. It’s great for recording, too!
can i request how to update software version
You’ll need a usb and to go on the boss site. I’m planning to make a video about the tone studio, and I can go over how to do the software update in that. Thanks so much for watching!

Thanks for sharing
Looks like you are still lovin that Gretsch. I have the 5422 on my radar but the 5420 is on sale for such a deal right now I might go for it. I have a Godin stadium pro too, T style l. Love it but crave that Greysch hollowbody sound. Gret job on the tune, sounds fabulous
Thanks so much! The 5422 is super rad. You may want to hold out for it. However, I totally understand when there’s a great deal you don’t want to miss out on. I appreciate it again! 🍻
Good stuff man! Would come see you but I am in Florida😅
That’s really cool! I hope to hit the road next year, and Florida is definitely on my list. Thanks again! I really appreciate it!
Hey Ray, I think you ended up on my feed because of the Gretsch and I am goad you did. Good playing buddy I like it.
I’m glad you found me!
Sounds good bro.
I appreciate all the support! Thank you so much again!!
Sounds good, I prefer room and hall reverb to spring most of the time. It is so cool to have all of them in a single pedal. Love that Gretsch😊
Room and Hall definitely sound the most realistic (not just on the ME-90 but in general). Yeah, my Gretsch has been a staple for me for well over a decade now. Thanks again, and never stop jamming! 🍻
Keep it up forever
I appreciate it so much! Will do, my friend! 🍻
Man I bought one last week and it came in terrible completely unplayable. Fret ends are like razors the about of dead frets and fret buzz is unreal. It is by far the worst guitar I have ever touched in over 30 years. I haven't seen anyone else have these problems I'm so disappointed
I’m so sorry to hear that! Squier’s quality control must not be up to snuff at all. I hope you were able to return it to either get a different one or just your money back.
@OneRayMusic I called a guy who builds custom guitars and talked to him he told me to bring it to him on Tuesday and he will check it out and if he could do all the fret work and a full set up and all he'd only charge me like 100 bucks. He also said if it's too bad he will just tell me to return it so we shall see.
Good luck. I hope he can fix it up for you!
Great job Ray 👏🏽 Love those lyrics. You looked like you were enjoying yourself 👊🏽 (Alan from the UK)
That means everything, man! Thank you! Have a great weekend! 🍻
Great go through!. Did you do any setup before making this video?. I mean, - since the unboxing?
Thank you so much! Yes, I set the neck relief, adjusted the action, and set the intonation.
Critique of presentation: none. Keep it up!
That’s amazing! Thank you so very much! 🍻
I, luckily, don't suffer from your difficulties. I'm rubbish at music though. Glad you're here to show me the way.
I’m glad to hear that. I wouldn’t wish the struggles on my worst enemy - not that I really have any. I’m sure you’re better at music than you give yourself credit. Thanks again!!
Ray, there really is only one if you. Keep being you, and only you
I appreciate all of the support! It seriously keeps me going!
Would you play the acoustic SIM with the amp off?
I’ll try to make a TH-cam Short demonstrating that. Remind me if I get busy and forget.
Another stellar ME-90 demo video...and the riff at 36:20 is killer! I really liked the Centaur. And digital fuzz...most audiences won't ever care, but for the player, that's one distortion where you gotta go analog. The feel just isn't there with digital.
I totally agree that the average audience member wouldn’t bat an eye, however when it comes to distortion, fuzz, and overdrive, digital has a tough time competing against analog. Thank you so much for the kind words and for watching!
He said a good platform for pedals???? The reason we have the ME90 is to NOT have a bunch of pedals, lol
🤣 That’s fair! Despite how many effects the ME-90 has, it doesn’t have everything. If someone has some favorite pedals they’d like to use, the preamps are a good platform. It also has a great effects loop. Thanks for watching!
Man, if you need more, then you should be playing Stadiums!! Lol
Maybe. One could argue the old “need” vs. “want.” 🤣 You really only need a guitar and an amp. Everything past that could be deemed just a want.
I like old bands like The Ventures, so my favorite reverb setting was spring all the way up. Also a fan of Gretsch hollow and semi hollow guitars. The sound is really good even on my laptop speakers, while some TH-camrs with channels your size don't get a good quality sound.
I really like the spring reverb, too! It’s the one I use the most. The Gretsch has been an amazing and reliable guitar. Thanks for the kind words about the sound, too! That means a lot! 🍻
What a great demo video for the ME-90, thank you. And I’m really impressed with your original musical ideas!
Oh wow! This is the comment of the week right here! That’s so cool! Thank you for the kind words and for watching! I really appreciate it! 🍻
you do it very well Sir, Cheers!!!
That means a lot! Thank you so very much!! 🍻
very good Sir. iam just trying to realize how do you sync the Sdrum and RC600. which cable do you use mate? thanks in advance. cheers!
Thank you so much! I use the Boss 1/8 inch to midi adapter. I had to go into the menu on the RC-600 too to set it to receive the tempo from the Sdrum. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching! 🍻
@@OneRayMusic did help to much, lad. Cheers!
I’m glad to hear that! 🍻
Hi Ray, I wanna let you know that I’ve been a big user of TH-cam since lockdown, but I’ve never left a comment. This is my first. Keep up the good work my man. I hear you talk about your struggles and I’m truly inspired because despite everything, you’re following through on your goals and delivering great content in the process. I play a bit too and I’ve got an ME90, which is why I came to your channel and subscribed when you did the Pre amps video. Your content is very informative. You’re doing a fantastic job. We all have insecurities but you’re a great example of someone that ‘feels the fear and does it anyway’ . I salute you 👊🏽
This is seriously one of the nicest comments I’ve ever gotten on any platform! I appreciate it so very much! Thank you is not a strong enough phrase! That awesome you play also! I hope you’re enjoying your ME-90. Never stop jamming! 🍻
Very nice playing man :) Love the guitar... I have always been a sucker for the big 70s headstock Fender necks.... I have a Fender Stratocaster 70s re-issue Mexican on the wall behind me... Need a little TLC due to some wear and tear... But seeing this I might have to buy me a Squier like this soon 🙂 KK from Norway.
I appreciate that so much! Yeah, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how good this $299 Squier has been. That’s cool you have a 70’s reissue. I’ve been starting to dig the bigger headstocks, too. Thanks again, and never stop jamming! 🍻
Sounds pretty cool 😎 👍
Thank you! Not bad for a $99 guitar, eh? I appreciate you watching! 🍻
@@OneRayMusic yeah it’s decent! 😃 It’s also in the hands of a Pro tbf 🤷♂️😊👍 Always welcome amigo. 😊👍
That’s very kind of you to say! Thanks!!
Great start man👍
Thank you so much!
Good review. With the larger headstock, is there any neck dive?
Thank you so much! Fortunately, there’s no neck dive. I was torn on the larger CBS era-style headstock, but I’m starting to dig it.
Sounds good to me
Thanks, brother! That means a lot!
That is honestly good you feel motivated to do that. Man I am in a haze right now and don't feel like doing much of anything. So that is good you have the motivation to write. Take advantage of it!
I’m sorry you’ve been going through that! I have been lately, too. I bought the marker board - as silly as it may be - to start writing down prompts to a least get started. It’s all about trying to find a system - any system - that I can follow to hopefully get things done. Keep doing your thing, brother!! You’ve been prolific on TH-cam for a long time, and that’s inspiring to me! 🍻
Dude!...I'm a big believer in writing stuff down, making list, etc..its helps me remember and to stay focused. Also helps with goals. Like challenging yourself to write and record one song a week. Even if it's stupid and silly. You never know what will come from it.
I appreciate you saying that, and I totally agree! I’ve even been using another marker board on my fridge to keep track of my meals and calories. It’s about having a system - any system - and trying to stick to it. That’s awesome it’s helped you, too! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! I appreciate it! 🍻
Killer dude !✌️
Thank you so much! 🍻
Very nice playing in your demo. Makes it worth checking out this guitar further. Thanks.
Thank you so much! I appreciate you watching! Never stop jamming! 🍻
You just keep posting better and better stuff dude, hell yeah! Still badass!!!🤘🤘🤘
That means everything! Thank you so very much for the kind words and support!
Amazing just perfect
Oh wow! Thank you! I really appreciate it!
That was badass 🤘
I appreciate that so very much! Thanks, and have a great weekend! 🍻
@@OneRayMusic you too man, keep the jams rolling, and keep the booze flowing. See you in the big leagues partner
👊🏻😎
Have you heard of Tease brand guitars? They are also a budget brand but a little bit more expensive than this one you reviewed. The owner has loaned or gave guitars to channels about the size of yours for review and he seems like a nice guy to deal with. BTW you got some good sounds out of that guitar hard to believe it is so inexpensive.
I haven’t. That’s really cool. I’ll definitely reach out to them. Thanks for the lead! I appreciate it so much! Thank you!!
Ocean Ray back at it again! Just joking, great job! You might just convinced me to someday get the me90
🤘🏻🤣 Thanks! You’ll have to let me know if you ever get one. 🍻
👍
Thank you! I appreciate it! 🍻
Sounding great man! I bet that Gretch is killer with those ME90 amps...like in your video. And yes...I recognize those riffs from before. 👍
Love the tune starting around 7:18.

Whats the tune at the 7:18 mark? I love your playing.
I appreciate it! Yeah, I just used the Gretsch through the X-High Gain amp at my show on Monday, and it was sizzling. Thanks so much for watching! It seriously keeps me going! 🍻
