    You should answer the way you would actually act. If you would be capable and willing to act the way you know you are expected to, then it's fine. Otherwise, don't bother lying, you won't last long. There are few valid extremes in life, and this "never lie" vs "always lie" , is not one of them. If you're a jackass in your mind, as long as you can be a decent and pleasant human with your mouth, it doesn't matter. And if you can't, or won't, or won't lie about it, you can forget that job, you're not getting it.

    These are also roles that are extremly thin on the ground and sort after by many many people so she will have to fight for them and aften run into nepotism. The sort of personality you've just detailed in the letter means she will probably not have the tenacity to keep going when she's been turned down for those handful of jobs that will be on offer. Generally speaking these jobs are luxury jobs for those with connections.

    • @mrgetmeajob
      @mrgetmeajob 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      thanks for the comment, yes I get your point, and often these highly sort after jobs go to "people who know people"... aka, their network!. The point of this video is to help young people (16 year olds) who are thinking of life after school, and what perhaps to focus on studying at college or University, or even vocational courses. Its the pathway that leads to these roles. Thanks again!

      Thats awful, and sadly yes it does happen that employers sometimes lie too about a role and thier expectations. Sorry to hear that this has happened twice to you. that should work both ways, vast majority of employers LIE to you, they ghost you, wont give you a wage range in order to eliminate you, they will fire you at a moments notice and give you a BS excuse.... majority of times, exaggerate or bend, out right lie , no

    Great advice. I like to defer these discussions with it is either too early to determine this, given the stage we are at in the process or if at advanced stage, ask them straight out what value do they place on my experience and contribution potential to their business/organisation from the discussion we have had so far? The latter transferring the risk/vulnerability of losing a great candidate on to them

    That's a very good question Sir... I understand that you are suggesting that the 'top companies' pay better, however you believe that 'changing companies' is the fastest way to increase your pay?... Whilst this is very much a generalisation, I don't disagree with these points... So how can someone work around this? My thoughts are that the focus on 'pay' is the issue, the focus should be the JOB ROLE first, then the COMPANY, then the PEOPLE, then the PAY (last)... when this realised in a positive manner, over time, the money comes, it always does as you'll rise to the top. My advice is get into the 'top companies' early on in your career, then all will be ok.... so what if you are later on in your career? well the advice is the same, don't focus on the money, focus on the job/company/people then pay, in that order. I have a video which I am about to post, I will tag you in it!
