Wow. Anthony Kiedis has passed up his buddy Flea on bass skills! Seriously - much respect… beautifully played.
Best version. I’d love to hear one on the lower octave
Best rendition I've seen.
Lot of good ideas in it! Bravo!

That's beautiful. I've played it on the classical guitar for decades. Great job!

Impressive! Some of the most virtuosic P bass playing I've heard
Nice guy. U resolve with artificials harmonic. Bravo. It's not by all.
question what the settings for the strings ?
The imposition of wild flights of rhythmic contrivance, masquerading as artistic or interpretive 'gravitas', is 'especially' out of place in 'this', the most rhythmically 'obligated' movement in the entire suite of 6. If its any consolation to you, Cellists get it wrong just as often. Yo-Yo Ma, whose playing I 'don't care for, actually get this one correct. Just play the notes! Nothing else makes harmonic or melodic sense, because the last note of each phrase is also the first note of the next phrase precluding opportunity for rubato. That's the musical trap Bach set (there are several more musical paradoxes set in other movements and suites). So, as is usually the case, there is just too much 'performer' in this performance, and not enough respect for the reason necessary to the notes actually 'causing' music for following one from the next as required, which is 'not' a given just because you play the correct notes. That's too low a bar.
That's wonderful! The first bass interpretation I've seen for this beautiful prelude. I'll stay with this, no need to see others!
Master Stück 👍 Top performance ☆☆☆ Music conects people around the world 🌎 🎼🎶🎵🎶🩶
And that fender is amazing such a beautiy
Beautifull playing beautifull tone. Loved it so much 🎉
So beautiful. Congrats for your bass version. Combine Bach and bass is so great!!!
Limpio❤perfecto 👌
Fantastic! ❤
Merci. I transposed this up and am trying it on a baritone ukulele.
The best version played with P-Bass. ❤ love it so much
love this
Congratulations. The first Bach performance on bass that respects historical criteria.
Thank you, you make me want to play them too.
I wish there was a good tab for this on bass
This is my favorite
Inspiring! ❤
cool
noch mal cool
Brilliant.
Have you done any modifications to this bass? Pickups? Preamp? Running through any effects? The tone is what I have been searching for.
No, it is a very pure tone with only a little bit of reverb added. I am using D'Addario Chromes on this recording and I can say that I really like flatwounds on the P-Bass al lot. The Bass was made in 1963 and has a very warm and woody tone. The preamp is an Alembic F-2B tube preamp (flat EQ). I think the flatwounds probably do the biggest part in this case. Regards Fabian
Thanks for the info. @@fabianwendt2628
I’m an electric bass player. I can’t play it yet but I learn it on the piano. I find that this piece can be played much slowly and solve many technical difficulties for the electric bass. The tuning doesn’t help. It’s written for a cello tuning
beautifully played sir
Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful and flawless my friend. Play on!
Thank you!
Love that relic p bass 😊
It's not relic, it is really worn after being played for 60 years now ;-)
@@fabianwendt2628 ah true I just call it that
I love how you have interpreted this beautiful piece for a beautiful instrument and performed it expertly.
Wow, I am really happy to hear that! Thank you!
Simply gorgeous! I love the delicate sound of somebody skilled playing a great composition on solo electric bass with wonderful tone.
Absolutely Beautiful
Just beautiful!!! Bravo!!! 👏👏👏
Nice! What year is that P Bass?
1963

I have a fender precision so it's a must to rehearse this lovely tune by myself!
fantastic work man, is this in G? i just started looking at this as a practice piece
Magnifique !
it's impressive that the dynamics are actually present
Electric Basses and Guitars are VERY dynamic instruments
@fabianwendt2628 yes but many either dont even know what dynamics are or just don't use them
Fantástica interpretação.
Tank you for this moment, for this great sense of inner equilibrium. So delicious.

What a sound ! Filet plat ?
Thank you! Yes Flatwound Strings
To me, a Classic guitar player, it sounds amazing, fantastic that a “limited” instrument can sound like that. Congratulations 👏😂😂👏👏
