Top 5 Reasons To Move To Edmonton In 2022
Few months of cold are just 😩
People are for sure friendlier in Edmonton, as long as they don't drive a lifted pickup truck with a bumper sticker stating that they would like to have intercourse with the prime minister.
You missed Devon. Nice small town right by the river, close to the airport, they have a small hospital, it's not too far from the city.
Edmonton is much better to live , i live in both city Edmonton is much relaxing to live.
Go back to Saskatoon.... what a 🤡
How is the Spruce Grove area for crime? Thinking of making the move from Vancouver in the spring time.
Edmonton is the wrong area.
Definitely agree with the last point. Crime rate is higher but most of that is due to the homelessness/mental illness crisis and is a lot of shoplifting, not violent crimes. I witness police or security stopping a theft about half the time I am in a Walmart, Dollarama, or mall.
When were those drone shots of Edmonton taken?
World water park?sounds 🤩
Omg
Edmonton is just a dirty gross ugly city
You obviously don’t know Canada,if you want beauty and warmth in your everyday life, try some places like ,buckhorn ,peterborough, longpoint ,Bancroft ,marmora, havelock,Norwood all in Ontario and more!
What 're you talking about rainy London Sir if my wales 's far worse if not for a scenery.
This commentator is trying to look older than what he is clearly, and sure does not know much or lives in a bubble, how much you getting paid to BS about this city.lmao.manual labor? Too funny.
It’s also a great area to live if you want to help the homeless, meth addicts, and people with various mental disorders. This is where I live and there is a lot of help needed.
ME DA ANSIEDAD ESCUCHAR EL VIDEO CON AUDIFONOS
Edmonton. Immigrant shit hole. Dirty.
I live in Edmonton lots of outdoors activities and festivals to enjoy ❤
I recently spent some time in Edmonton for school and stayed in the Spruce Avenue area north of the Royal Alex. I really enjoyed the close proximity to shopping and transit. I did notice there was quite a bit of newer development in the area though there are still a lot of smaller older homes as well.
Sherwood Park and F.S are great towns but they have a major drawback living there, the refineries. Look up cancer rates, higher for the east end. Used to live on North Side, Glengarry. One summer our co2 detectors are going off, Atco in to check, all good, took about a week to realise it was the easterly wind ( no predominant) blowing what i have to assume was the refinery gases our way. West end gets more weather, more thunderstorms, hail, snow tracks.
I think you really glossed over some of the sketchier areas of the city -118th ave from about 106st and all the way east - this area used to be extremely bad and was essentially a red light district for a long time. A concerted effort by local businesses in the 2010s cleaned it up a lot but COVID undid a lot of that change. Overall I'd say its safer than it used to be but I would not want to raise a family or take tourists there. Lots of pawn shops, liquor stores, open drug use and rough sleeping -Stoney Plain Road is very similar to 118th with the worst parts being around jasper place. Weirdly enough it actually becomes really nice closer to downtown as you get into glenora and beyond travelling east. 149 street is I'd say is more or less 'the line' between the nice part and the sketchy part. -The east side of downtown is entirely suspect. I would say from about 111ave to Jasper ave, 101st to 95 street is a whole "warning" area. The whole area isnt equally as bad and there are some small pockets in that area where I might live, but that area is highly concentrated with shelters and outreach centres for the homeless, the big one being around 99th st and 106th ave. That area is where people living on the street tend to concentrate, and as a result you can expect to see high property crime and open drug use. Its a shame because both chinatown and little italy are in the area and both have some wonderful small shops and historic areas. I wouldn't say avoid the area entirely but maybe dont live there without knowing a lot about it. Other areas of the city that people say are 'bad' are not even close. The entire city has issues with property crime especially in proximity to downtown or major transit stations, but the entire rest of the city I would consider to be safer than the average neighborhood in a bigger city.
The bell man.. why?
There is no right or good areas to live in Edmonton. It is a sanctuary city, a toilet of multiculturalism and a horrible place to live! This is coming from someone born and raised in Edmonton!
Property tax's are higher, and insurance is higher.
Edmonton, it's that city just north of Calgary right??
This is stupid; I take transit weekly; hate bike lanes; stupid useless waste of money; Not tobmention it looks terrible Hermitage Road is a great example
The LRT line from millwoods is actually the 3rd line. I'm concerned about your lack of accuracy on a few things. You clearly grew up around and live in Millwoods because this video was super biased.
Hey buddy I was just wondering how is the work there is there a lot of constructions is there a lot of houses being built ?
no discussion about flood zones, massive immigrant areas where no white people live etc. This is not useful
Arts and culture 😂 ya we have the dcc but that's about it, were a sports and industrial town don't get it twisted. This video feels like propaganda, forts alright but it's nothing special at all.
Dont listen to this fella Ive lived here my entire life There is no right area to live in because no matter where you go you will find meth head street walkers
Lol Edmonton is terrible
10% tax at 60k should be 6k making the take home 54k not 45k. 1:53 Can anyone explain?
Sherwood Park has a huge number of trails through the whole place and even a walking/bike bridge which crosses the North Saskatchewan Rive and ends up in Rundle park in Edmonton. So there is a way to either walk a sidewalk or take beautiful trails all the way from east to west and into Edmonton. There is even a ski hill.
I’m sorry that there are people who are haters of Edmonton, but there are a lot worse places to live than here. I’m originally from Ontario and I’ve lived in different locations throughout the province of Alberta. By far, Edmonton is the nicest place to live. Of course, you have to like winter, but if you like long summer days and magical winter nights, this is the place to live! The city is trying to get the wrinkles out of the transit system and it is coming along. We also have one of the largest river Valley systems where if you want to get exercise, you can get it!❤
Looking to move to Edmonton working close to the train tracks. Looking to spend around $450k. Want to be near a vet, Starbucks, cathloic school, and Superstore. Preferably home built after 2000, 1500+ square feet, 4+ bedrooms. Is this possible? :)
I would also add bad transportation to the list. Edmonton traffic is worse than would be expected for a city of its size and public transit is absolutely terrible. Definitely the weather is the biggest downside though 😄. The summers are beautiful but the nice weather only lasts for 2 or 3 months.
Edmonton is a joke im moving out soon… Common dude Edmonton is warmer than the country lol.
I'm told that the Abbottsfield area is more reasonably priced than other parts of the city. Is this true?
This video is more like a introduction to immigrants who want to move to Canada... #NoJoke #TrudeauMustGo
St. Albert is a beautiful spot, Calder used to be nice, sucks now though.
Your rental numbers are way low in Edmonton. It's hard to even find an apartment, most have a waiting list.
Ya dont move to Edmonton we dont want you
Edmonton is a hole
Or move to a small town like Killam
"moving to Edmonton is such a amazing experience"? Bro stop. Dont move to the wrong neighbourhood in dreadmonton the whole city yoy shouldn't move to
A realtor coaxing people to move to Edmonton when there is already a shortage of homes for our population…. where every home sells higher than list price right now and ends up in multiple offers. This guy’s a moron looking to stuff his own pockets with you hard earned cash!
Edmonton is a dump…. it’s dirty and unkept. There are also way too many extremely awful driving immigrants. The different ethnicities do not blend or assimilate either. They move here and conglomerate with each other and only socialize and do business with their own. There’s also a very redneck, blue collar mentality. If all of this sounds appealing…. by all means, come on over!
I love the nightlife wayyyyyyyy better then vancouver!! And people are very friendly and it’s definitely got a Canadian vibe and seems the mass migration is much less then in BC and Ontario.
