i dont actually think midir was that hard of a boss at first i tried to summon as many people as possible to fight him, because i always heard its a hard battle, but i lost everytime then the next day went solo to fight him and beat him first try

This is cool, but lightning arrow does less damage on this pure faith build then chaos bed vestiges on a normal pyro build. Not trying to discredit faith builds, but fire does more damage to the dragon than THE LIGHTNING OF THE GODS

Gwyn had no intentions of killing midir. Midir alongside seath were the only two dragons gwyn spared. Seath because he was a traitor and showed gwyn loyalty and midir because of how young he was he could be tamed and having the power to literally eat any form of darkness including the abyss was probably a very useful tool for someone he feared the day darkness would consume the flame
