My upside down deposit was a bit of a flop but luckily Andy let us shoveldog his spot. It'll be good to be in creswick for a few days it'll give me a chance to get below that reef you suggested last year. Hopefully see you there. Cheers James Luke

It definitely is crevice heaven Lee. It's been hammered fro 1850's till now but with the flooding last year it's packed a few juicy spots again. It's like the whole deposit is upside down, I've given up trying to figure it out I'm just going to run it if I get back before someone else. I knocked up a J.M Prospecting power head when you posted your vid James. I've only used it a couple of times but it's a good bit of kit. It's the classifying that kills me. So much crap in that creek. Have you come across the little pink bits of wire type stuff? It's as heavy as lead but not lead. I thought it might be copper wiring from an old motor or something, not sure but it's everywhere. That'd be a good test for the banjo when she's up and running frenchy. Good luck if you get up there.

@@goldfeverreliever I haven't seen the coppery stuff but I was up further north today on a tiny little pokey creek and it was absolutely filled with what I assume is sheet metal off of old cars or tractors and it really plays on your eyes because it looks exactly like gold until it rolls and disappears. That's the exact spot I want to test the banjo out. It's a nice spot. Reckon I'll shorten it though so it's like a French bulldog instead of an English. It's light but very long.

That first pan would've started a new rush back in the day.

I was ready to drive in pegs and set up camp frenchy. Can't win all the time. It'll all be fresh again in a few months. I do love that spot.

Thanks mate. It was a pure fluke, I just looked over my classifier and there it was. Andy had mentioned that there were fossils in the area but never thought I'd come home with one. The Rockies must be spectacular around that area. That's some cool stuff you've been uncovering, especially the ammonites. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it 👍

@@goldfeverreliever I would have found it hard to leave after that chunky pan. You don't get a lot of pans like that round our neck of the woods. I mean, occasionally but not like that. Also that fossil is a beauty. I wonder what it is. Any ideas?

Yeah it was frenchy. I just wanted to keep going but Andy was dropping me home so I didn't want him to be to late home. Not Much chunky stuff up secret creek. Haven't been back up for a while. I think the fossil is a sea urchin but without going back to school I can't be certain. It spun me out to think I found it 3/4 of the way up a mountain. Cheers mate

@@goldfeverreliever that whole area is full of fossils apparently. I've heard it called "trilobite country" because of how abundant they are. I last went to our local a few weeks ago but doing a high country trip this weekend and we're passing a few choice rivers, creeks and mines. I'll let you know how it goes if I remember to film something lol

You are on the money, Gadzee. It's hard ground, you can see why the black sand is prolific, on bloody black rocks everywhere. It's great to have a mate that has come out and took the challenges this ground has in his stride. Andy PPA!
