Dishing Out Flavor is all about healing and rebuilding the entire body. Whether you're losing weight or staying in shape D.O.F can be a great resource for you. We are using food to fix and restore our bodies. The best way to describe my style of cooking is Medicinal Low Carb Eating. After years of struggling to lose weight, I decided to give the low-carb thing a try, and although I lost weight I still had digestive issues. After years of studying and researching, I found lots of natural food-grade digestive aides. I applied these herbs and spices to my low-carb creations and my gut health improved. My way of cooking isn't always quick, so don't expect that of me. Every recipe is filled with feel-good and healthy beneficial herbs and spices; therefore time and preparation are necessary. My overall health has improved by leaps and bounds. I now have healthier hair and skin. I'm down 55 lbs. My stress level and blood pressure are down, and above all, I no longer have poor gut health.

Out of the billions of people on the earth, more than one person can come up with similar recipes and not have "stolen" it from anyone else lol I used to have a home bakery and canning business and I can't tell you how I thought I came up with a recipe and someone would say how it tasted like their favorite cookie from a bakery or wherever. I just got the last ingredient for Alycia at Keto Upgrade bread recipe. I plan on trying different people's flour recipes and see which one is best for me and my family. Yours looked good to me. I also don't like the eggy taste so I will be trying your flour first. There's like three different people who have " all purpose" flour recipes I want to compare for myself. I took your recommendation for the Modern Mountain brand except for bamboo fiber. I already have oat fiber from elsewhere though. You seem like you cook a lot so I used your recommendation. Yes, people are cruel. It's such a shame. I don't understand why someone has to cut someone else down. Just move on, people lol

I bought a different oat fiber and it made everything taste nasty and gritty.
Oh, no! I have purchased others in the past that were not good. With Modern Mountain products, all of that has changed. I've been using their products for two years, and I love them. They have an excellent pizza crust for steamed buns, onion ring batter, and French fries. You can search my recipe for steamed buns, and it should populate. Take care 👋

Help, you don't mention what size is a serving? Also, monkfruit with Allulose is a dry ingredient but you have qty as millilitres which is a liquid measure but they are cry ingredients, so what is the qty in grams? Last question, you say total carbs is 21g and net is 3g but fibre is only 8g, so how do you get to 3g net? Thank you.
Hello and thank you for commenting! My apologies I broke down what a serving size is in the video when I label the bag of flour. I'll put it in the actual nutritional facts for you. Milliliters and Grams are the same measurements. Ex. 10ml would equal 10g. The carbs are 3 net carbs because you have to subtract sugar alcohol and fiber. Allulose is a sugar alcohol. I hope this answers your questions.

It was partially frozen. The best way to describe hmm? It was soft to the touch but still frozen enough to cut thinly for a Philly cheese chicken sub.

I just have the kind of ice cream maker where you freeze the canister, and they are colder than a freezer in a refrigerator, but I never have to chill the ice cream mixture beforehand. Maybe it's because I have one of those big chest freezers, but I have to work really quickly, pouring the mixture in the canister and starting the mixing process, or it will be too stiff to turn. Also, I just make mine using cream, almond milk, allulose, sweetener, glycerine, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. It's really quick and tastes exactly like store-bought ice cream. And it's scoopable, too. I'm going to try yours too, though, because I've been wanting to try a custard base ice cream. You can only get better from here?!? You are already the best .
With my freezer canister, I turn it on and pour in the mixture as the blade/paddle moves to avoid it from getting stuck. Yes, my ice cream mixture is more of a frozen custard. I love the rich creamy texture and the taste is crazy good. I'm working on a new flavor or two so look forward to seeing them sometime this month. Thanks for writing in! 😊

I usually use my manual ice cream maker, and I forgot I could pour the mixture into my electric one the last time I made ice cream and it froze to the sides so fast that the motor couldn't turn. Lol. I had fun getting that unstuck.
@sew_So_beautiful I let that happen when I make traditional ice cream/booza, scraping the sides is a big part of the process. I had a lot of fun with that.

I am actually very intrigued by your mixing bamboo and oat fiber together - even more so by your addition of a small amount of King Arthur Glute-free flour - I am wondering about what if I just make up your mixture and leave out the baking powder/baking soda and the sweetener how this would work as 1:1 using a gluten-free pie crust recipe to finally get a decent pie crust - I have wasted more real butter than I care to mention trying to get a tender Keto pie crust. The King Arthur Keto Flour came the closest, but it is still not there yet - and I am very careful with using cold butter, shingling the butter, chilling before rolling, etc., but still not getting a decent crust - and I used to make excellent crusts when I was not Keto or trying to be gluten free,
Leaving the baking powder and baking soda in will not affect the crust. You can leave out the allulose. I've done this for an even flakier crust. Look for the low-carb apple pie video.

The Apricot was wonderful. Apricots are like peaches with a bit of tangerine. The apple jicama was like tasting but enough to satisfy my apple jelly needs. The apple jicama butter was extremely good and I wished I had made more of that than the jelly. I hope this was helpful❤😊
can i sub the almond flour with flax or lupin flour, almond flour leaves a gritty texture. I've made Victoria's blend and I'm having a hard time getting past that almond texture. Thanks for posting this though.
Are you using superfine almond flour? Flaxseed, egg white powder, and guar gum seem like you would get a texture that would never fully cook. In other words, the middle of your baked goods would sink or seem wet. As for the lupin flour, I only use it when I make peanut butter-type desserts or waffles. I'm curious how the lupin would work in this blend. I'll test it tomorrow and let you know ❤❤❤
Okay, my love, I gave this a try and I advise you not to proceed with the lupin flour. After making the flour blend with only the almond flour being replaced resulted in the most driest baked goods that tortured my esophagus 😂😂😂 Don't do it..don't do it. I will try again tomorrow with coconut flour. Sister, that was a brutal experience 😂😅😊😂😂

There are just so many types of flours to work with - so a little duplication is just going to happen - but yours is way different from Victoria's Keto Kitchen. One main thing is that Victoria is trying to get the crunch in cooking using Einkorn flour which has gluten. You are using gluten free flour which should allow some crunch - way, way different. I have used Victoria's without the Einkorn due to gluten - and will try yours - I feel there is a lot to learn from both of you.

Allulose makes baked goods soft. Perhaps if you used a different sweetener, such as an erythritol sweetner, the cookie would be crispier.
