i still have my MDR V55 but, the ear cups are gone and the sound quality is still good after 8 years of using it

Just got the MDR-V55 DJ. They sound awesome (just on PC Sound Blaster sound card), crisp and great bass sound. But after a few minuets they start hurting my ears due to the pressure of ear pads being place on top of the ears instead of over the ears. So going to spend a little more and order over the ear pads. The cord is a bit too short but you can get an extensions to cover that as well. If they did not sound great I'd be returning them ...

I don't buy Canon lenses for my 70D - L series or other Canon lenses... way too expensive and I see no point in spending more money for the red circle and a letter L when a Sigma lens is about 1/4 the price of a l series lens and produces a superior photograph equal to or better than the L series does. Sadly though, the purchase of a 5D series Canon DSLR requires the (minimum) use of a L series lens or greater value (more expensive) than what you would require on a crop sensor camera...so the down fall of a full frame DSLR is that one is required to spend unnecessary money in order to get proper use of the camera...so if someone is willing to spend the money on an full frame DSLR, you best be prepared to spend the big bucks for the lenses as well!! Not professional yet? Hmmm .. awful expensive paperweight you just purchased!!

I'm pretty sure the difference between 25 dollars and 55 is 30... not 20. Geez.

I was gifted the sonys about 5 years ago, they JUST now broke and they aren’t even necessary broke because they sound is still perfect but they leak super bad at any volume. Even though the quality is still perfect

The Sony MDR v55 is too delicate for the price. I have a 9 yr old Turquoise colored variant of the same. A real grime magnet. Plastic joints already broke, but fixed. So definitely NOT FOR ROUGH USE. Kinda too tight upon the ears as well. The bright side- Crispy powerful output you just can't ignore.

Thank you so much for that review I was thinking of changing my 70D for the 5 D MkII iv only had the 70D 7 months I'm just a hobbyist photographer and was wondering should I change to a full frame !! But this has made my mind up to stick with the 70D and use the money to get better glass , once again thanks please keep up the good work

I've had these Sony's for a few years now. The sound quality is fantastic and kills Beats all day long. However, the actual frame after a while becomes really creaky and the plastic coating on the headphones cracks and comes away. Something I'll look at when I buy my next pair but for the money they are some of the best headphones you could buy

I have the mdr zx660. The sound specs are the same (5hz to 25khz), 104db ecc, but they have a more discrete design. After a week of listening i can say that these headphones sounds pretty well for the price and have nice bass. (better than the Marshall Major 2, tested personally)

I just purchased the Sony's after a ridiculously exhaustive search through Amazon, Newegg, and Ebay, and I ended up getting them new on Ebay for $45 from a 100% rated seller with over 80,000 successful buys, so I think I'm going to be very happy with my purchase, especially for what I got these for. Just a couple years ago they were selling for $100, so this is great. I was initially looking at AKG (lower end price range, between $45-$75 have fairly poor reviews) Audio Technica (great reviews, but I think the Sony's will be more bang for the buck, and look a lot better than the ATH-30x's) and some off brands that had promising reviews for the most part, but I didn't want to take the chance on. Sony is a trusted brand and I feel like this will be a solid pair of headphones that will last for years to come.
