ALL-IN at The Lodge in Austin!! || Poker Vlog #17
มุมมอง 3.3K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hey everyone, in this episode, I travel to Austin to play at The Lodge!! Was an interesting evening to say the least, but was fun to play in a new card room. Had several premium hands in this session, one where I hit top set and got raised all-in and another where I 4-bet jam with AK. Please note, my chip stack varied from hand to hand on occasion due to PLO bomb pots that I didn't get on video...

One of the best players in the game
your bet sizing needs work
AA, 13:40, the sickest hand in a while!
10:35 I'd bet $85, 100%+ pot size. B/c OOP, and if I miss river, then what?? Damn if I bet, damn of I check, damn if I check call, damn if I check/fold??? Too many damns. If you're trying to rep higher pair here, then how much would you bet turn with JJ/QQ/KK? $30 is a small bet. Then, when missed river, in no way he'll fold (his 99) to a shove!
AK, UTG raising flop to $75. FOLD!
AQ, 8:40 I'd folded river bet. Seriously!! _(Will reply to this post after I see hand reveal)_
wow! I guess, never fold to a fish bet lead!
66, running into a higher set set?? Tough one. Really.
AA, 4:57 Turn bet was too large. No weaker hand would've called, no stronger (4,5/sets) would've folded. Too much even for a flush drawing hand. Instead, milk him. $75 bet would've been denying equity to a middle pair, or 2 overcards (AQ/AJ/QJ).
there are no worst 2 hands in poker than AA/KK. Absolutely disastrous hands. When you win you win small, when you ,lose, you lose huge. On the long run: they're losers. So, to prevent huge loses, I always limp and easily muck them on flop if they do not improve.
1/2 is where you need to be at sir.
bomb pots,
KJ is rarely a call from blinds. Either raise/fold. With missed the flop, it plays horrible post flop. Plus, raising pf cleans the field of garbage marginals, like Q3o!!
I like your screen layout. Easy to see at any time (during the hand) the pot size, bet size, the position of the players involved (HJ, CO, SB, BB. etc). Unlike some other Vloggers out there...telling: player at the end of table, the player to my right, the first player call...etc, hard to follow the hand progress.
AJo, 4:15 this hand was to C-bet the flop (AT8r). Or, x/r. You could not known if he was betting with a weaker A, or an open ender. Once you checked flop and called his raise, that might made him believe that his pair of A would've been best hand. Also, Thus, you might've folded a winning hand. (??). However, flop c-bet or x/r would've eliminate such option. Im not much proponent of x/r with a top pair against multiway pot. (that might made me run into a rockwall too often) and force a weaker hand to get out.
Nice vlog. I like the style: simply, straight up to hands; no special effects; no craps nor bs like mdf/gto/blockers/pot control/top of the range.... Just kick PLO/bomb pots out. NLH is great enough.
U got too excited with the AA on the first hand.. possibly an $24-$28 raise would've given you some action.. if you want to win more, you have to maximize those hands when you are ahead instead of pushing everyone out
The Ace Jack of hearts hand I thought at the time that squeeze would have been the play. Just a thought.
Think you’re right, squeeze was likely the play there.
Let's go
Why do you show you cards first when you don't have to? You don't get any information and it's not great for the vlog.
Bro, Just go back to your 1-2 Table and leave him alone. Free Palestine btw!
Showing your cards first when you don't have to isn't good for the vlog and you don't get any information from them. Also, if by chance you are beat, then you can muck.
what brand hoodie are you wearing in the outro? nice video
You have to call with the AJ on the turn. You can't put him on a set or two pair right then. The cutoff did not three bet you preflop in position so it seems likely he doesn't have AQ or AK. He could have an Ace with a worse kicker than yours. You underrepresented your hand when you checked your Ace and he has just made two position bets when checked to him. You have to call on the turn and see what develops on the river. IMHO.
Seems right to bet the 44 set
The lodge looks awesome I can’t wait to go!
Bing bong!
New Vid!! - Lets Gooo!
84o???? Why? Really? There are some fundamentals you're missing. You're going to battle with no weapons/.Your wagering and hoping that your gonna make a hand. Dude that's not what this game is about. All the math is against you.
Have you read Phil Helmuth's book Play Poker Like the Pros? Dude. You can save your whole game by simply - DO NOT PLAY ANYTHING EXCEPT A PAIR. Dude you start with nothing. and you are way to passive. Poker is War. You are starting with no weapons and you are letting them just smack you around. Dont check - fire back. If you've read all of those books behind you and havent gotten that out of them. You need to ask yourself what your missing. You're not following Doyle Brunsons lessons either. Forget position when it comes to C bet. you either hit the flop or you don't. And of your bluffing you need to fire away and scare em. Remember - Poker is WAR!!!
That was Jay to his right. I was on his left in seat 4. (This is Keith B. In 4) That first hand (you had AJ) I had 86s. Not 85. Bottom pair. My read on it was this. 1. I floated the flop with the sole intention of stealing with the right run out. Since you opened from the small blind, and leead the flop outa position, that narrows your range a bit. Over pairs, top top ect. I have all the draws, the sets, the 2 pairs. You don’t typically. Plus, after realizing you’re vloging, that indicates you’re a student of the game. As such, you’re not an idiot like most other 1-3 players where any 2 will do. It’s that ability I choose to exploit. I was 85 % sure you didn’t have a ten. It’s possible, but my live read at the time was no. I went with the bigger sizing to polarize my range, knowing you weren’t calling without a 10 in your hand.
Hey Keith - thanks for the clarification and enjoyed playing with you!
You should really be liking that you had an aggressive loose guy on your right.
Vlog quality is awesome. Havent been to 101 in years but would be happy to buy you a beer there someday
Thank you!
Awesome vlog
Thank you!
Was this table 5? Seat 2 must have been jay!
ur range UTG shouldn’t be good on 468cc.
nice one :D
3b with KK is way too small. Should be closer to 140-160
why would u rejam AA on A63r?
With all those premiums only up $ 100? 😢😢😢😢
I also play at TCH Houston. Hope to see you out there.
Like your content, keep it coming.
Raise higher pre flop with limpers especially
Liked the vlog my man. Good luck
Poker is not for everyone. You should stick to Keno or Tiddly Winks.
KK vs 77 wild. I was sure you are up against an Ax kind of hand but then she shows...77
25 dollar tip is crazy
Woah tons of premiums! Always good to book the win!
I'm trying to get you to a thousand.
Hey Jason, you ever go to the Doghouse out in Cypress? I’m in Houston and support your content, hope to see you across the table!
Thanks for the support! Haven’t been there, good action?
@@jasonbell-pokerdecent action but it’s raked
just subbed thanks for making this
66: Why, after villain raised turn, did you lead river? You have the worst possible set (now fh), so any fh beats you, and if villain was raising a bluff, you are not getting a call. I'd much rather x-call here. You gave him an extra 200, when he may have bet smaller to try to get a call. It seems like you turned your fh into a bluff. (This commentary is based on the fact that you did not realize that v had such a small stack on the river.) AQsh: Might as well bet larger. If v has Qx or a fd, he's calling. Get the most out of him you can. Final hand sucked. Once that flop hits, there's likely no way v folds, so not much you can do but give him your money. I would have never expected 75 (or 52) either.
I appreciate your honesty.
