SkiDoo MXZX 850 Tune your ride. Gord shows how to tune your sled for the maximum cornering performance. He talks about front and rear sag adjustment.
You want to corner buy a polairs
Where to buy it any links
How does it take the small and big bumps
Promo SM
Why do the lowered sleds spindles look taller at every location on them??
Center of gravity is lower, regardless of spindle height. Both spindle heights are identical..
Do you have a kit like that for my 2021 MXZ X 850?
Thats a great idea. Now all i need is the sled.
Hey what windshield is that on the lowered one?
Hey Gord,it looks as though you have painted the inside of the hand guards and possibly the windshield. If so,how did that work out for you?
good eyes! yes painted the inside do not paint outside! i use a flat black spray can j2 flat black had used this the last few years co cracking no peeling best 20 bucks you will spend!
I don't even have a Gen 5 & this is a great idea 👍🏼
Great kit Gord! How’s money train working? It’s Mike from Ultimax…
Hi Mike. All is well in the far east. Ultimax belts only for best results! Money train is already for the next season of competition
I believe technically the Lynx Rave ski’s are Blade XC+. There was an older version in years past known as Blade XC. I’m looking at ordering a pair for my 2021 Renegade XRS 850. There’s a write up in the Nov 22 Snowtech magazine regarding them with all the part#’s and retail cost. $469.99 USD/$589.99 CAD. All black or red with black loops are available. They come completely assembled and the ski-doo runners work with them according to the article.
Is the front sag supposed to be set with the rider on the sled aswell?
Yes and all gear
I work in powersports/sled sales and this was the most informative thing I've ever watched. Thank you, Gord.
Do you recommend having the dual carbide setup with the pilot x skis? I’ve got the same sled coming in for the fall except with 600 engine
That’s what I used this past season. I like to ride fast on the trails. So I personally would like to have 6 inches of 60 degree carbide on a square host bar. The outside carbide I use is a round host bar with 4 inches of 90 degree carbide. It’s important to put this on as soon as possible when you get your new sled as the plastic groove will wear down quickly with no runner . Best of luck with your new sled That 600 engine is a jewel!

Gord....you're killing me. The skis are Pilot X skis, not Pilot 5.7's. There's a difference. Other than the constant misstating of the type of skis swapped from the '21 MXZ X....good informative video.
Have you tried the blade XC on an XRS yet? I had the Ra’ve out for demo and like the Blades on it. Was wondering how they’d do on a XRS.
Does the blade ski run the same carbide as the pilot x???
I am not sure as I have not had it off. I will find out
No, Pilot 5.7's
Awesome thanks
How did the 5.7 skis work on the lynx
Was not as good with the 5.7 on the lynx. Could not wait to swap them back
Great review
Thank you
@@gordmacdonald2816 any idea what storage bags will work on the sled? Was hoping the linq combo gen4 wide bag would work on the seat.
Also wondering if the 11 litre trail seat bag would work
@@KliqDon1983 The seat has a different profile. I will try one to see if it fits for you
