Kaddy's Jam Kave
Australia
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 23 ม.ค. 2015
Kaddy's Jam Kave is NOT just a YT channel... it is a place where I meet up with loads of local musicians and set up Jam sessions for the pure love and joy of jamming Heavy Rock and Metal music. I'm also just a regular guy from Down Under that's into guitars, amps & gear that makes related video content.

Nice work. I assume that roller door doesn’t get opened? I am going to use the foil board on a panel garage door, but need something for a roller door that does roll up. Seen any good solutions? PS great music choices 🤘
@@kobebenedicto9715 Nar my doors are bolted to the ground... I've seen videos of people using thin foil sheets instead of boards that roll up and down with the garage door but I'm not sure how good they are. Other than that I'm not sure from the top of my head. Good luck!
I’m taking delivery of one of these shortly I only just caught the end comments on this video! Well, I play 70/80s pop & rock , and this pedal is way more than most guitarists had at the time, even 80’s lexicon rack gear is now obsolete, but its these sounds that made the music then. Now dated, yes, but It’s as much to the sound then, as a looper is for Ed Sheeran now . Classic pedals never become obsolete!
is there noise when the pedals (analog/digital) are power on by it?
@@kennylim6099 Not that I noticed.
It does a good mid gain rock tone and that's about it. Cleans suck and edge of breakup sounds like there's a noisegate turned up to the max. Good, not great.
Dont no anyone who uses them

Couldn't agree more on everything in this video . I recently bought a super crush 100 and it is no high gain amp. The gain doesn't really do much until after 12 o'clock. Needless to say I'll be returning it .
This was awesome!!!!
I feel like every Ibanez bass I've heard has this dull, muted sound to it. The Yamaha has more character to it, in both sound and looks.
@@CorruptedDogg The Yamaha is definitely louder and and better. You're right 👍🏻
That Marshall one just has the edge over the GB.,,,,maybe just the cab or something.
@@BradRocker They're both GB, you mean the g12c has the edge over the g12m I assume. Definitely a bit fuller and more aggressive.

So I've been wanting to get a marshall. I have a 5150 iconic el34 and a Peavey 3120. What do you think about an 800, 900, or 2000 compared to the jvm 410? Love your videos man. And those guitars... wicked!
@@jasonnicely My opinion is worthless lol but I much prefer the jvm410h over the other Marshalls. Way more customizable, way more gain, way more tone options and even sounds great at low volumes unlike the 800 and 900. Love the jcm2000 for it's simplicity and also sounds great but wish I found a tsl100 instead as it's more customizable. Thanks for watching man! 🤘🏻
@KaddysJamKave shoot. You have a lot of experience and get great tones. I really appreciate your help. I was leaning towards the JVM. Thanks again.
@@jasonnicely If you asked Euge Valovirta, he would say the 800 all the way haha. But he gives all marshall tube amps a huge thumbs up regardless
@KaddysJamKave yes. Lol. I watched several of his. Marshall 800 with SD1.
Can i have that
Hey man, I have a recto cab, do you think this could pull off a decent Metallica tone? I had a mark ii combo I didn’t like but this sounds wayyy better.

@@wally-001 lasts me about 2 or 3 months
sounds good man...which of the 2 solid state heads do you think is best now... the Boss gen 3 or orange super crush? im very curious
@@dalejacksonmo Oh mate, the super crush stands NO CHANCE against the Boss Artist. It can do it all... I only like the crush for clean bluesy tones
@KaddysJamKave That's what I was thinking from the reviews...thank you man
Now that you got 2 Katana amps, maybe try and run the 2 Katanas in the stereo mode. I haven't heard anyone try it with a Gen3 and MKII yet so I'm curious how that sounds.. great video as usual man.
@@Jakers80 Yeah I'll eventually get around to doing that... Although I was already dabbling with stereo on my Jvm and dual rectifier with the mimiq doubler pedal 👍🏻

Hey mate nice work, did you tape foilboards to floor or leave a bit of a gap? Worried about condensation sitting there when i get off my arse and do mine Cheers
my 2x12 70/80s sounds great.......who cares about other's opinion...thx
These are Great Cabs. I tend to see these cabs for sale when people are selling theyre Marshall 2466 Vintage Modern Amps. The Blue Tolex Anniversary Marshall Cabs are Pretty damn good too
The Marshall green backs with the quickness
I have an engl 412 straight standard with V60s and I thought that you can't place the mic sticked to the grill bc of it being so thick affects if it's too close by jlocking and getting muddy on how direct and bright the signal reaches the membrane. I think putting distance and adjust mic volume would help for a fairer comparison. Just a theory, might be interesting to hear it!

@@KaddysJamKavedude I totally thought u were just jacking me off. How long u played for?
I have this, also had a Revv G3 in the past. These are the kind of pedals that sound good in videos but irl they just lack the balls and whistles of real amp distortion. They always sounded thin and artificial to me, like they were so close to a good tone but something was always missing… reviewers do seem to love them though.
Yes, reviewers seem to $Love them$... which just reinforces my view that most gear reviewers are shills. The majority of positive reviews I watched were paid reviews... but there's NO WAY you can demo this pedal in the room and come away thinking that it's a good distortion pedal if you're being honest. Thanks for the comment man
Hmm, do i wanna buy a pedal thats likely stolen intellectual property and the purchase of which will contribute to a totalitarian governments military dominance? Naaa, im good. Hard pass for me.
Is the Orange 212 open back as dark and muddy as the Orange PPC 212 closed back ? The Orange 412 is also super dark and muddy, although they all have a very tight and extreme low end. Can an EQ pedal help to brighten it up, so it sounds “normal “ ? I guess not really, because the cloth, cover is like one or two blankets over the speakers.
@@DragonBolo haha people think I'm talking BS when I say orange cabs are muddy and sound like sh*t in the room. They all sound muddy to me mate... I got rid of all my orange cabs for that reason. An eq helps but I still hated the tone... Sounds really boxy to me.
Great Sound and riffing man! Hails from.germany
Haha some editing blips... I'm miming myself lol

Several people have done side by side comparisons and they sound the same. But unless I compare it side by side myself, I dunno.
Mesa all the way
TRUE! Although I found the Marshall 1960 Greenback and Vintage 4x12's to be VERY good in comparison and hard to pick between recently!
i understand the feeling....felt the same about my mxr evh 5150 i paid $250 new for...my 6505II and MT15 sound better on lead channels than the pedal on my clean channel...4 sure
Have you tried it through the amps return?
@@catalyzed8457 Nar and not interested in doing that.
I don't know what it sounded like in the room, but there were a few settings that sounded good on video. I laughed when you chucked it though.
@@mr_travismc1 definitely doesn't sound good in the room but some "ok" somewhat usable settings if you don't have a decent amp lol
Thank you for the video. I was almost convinced to buy the super crush 100 based on other videos making it sound amazing..I'm currently playing a peavey 3120 with stock el34s. I wonder how that H&K would sound comparatively?
@@jasonnicely I doubt the H&K would sound anywhere near as good. It's ok but dialing it in is a pain with it's reactive EQ and only 1 channel is usable at a time since it shares the eq.
@KaddysJamKave oh ok. Thanks for that. I stuck a lichtlaerm EQ pedal in the FX loop and man it's a monster.
I had a local machine shop create me 6 replacement T Nuts...in Steel. Fixed forever I think. But I paid 300 canadian for 6 of them. Original owner of a Green One!
Nice work. I just recently insulated my Colorbond garage the same way but with 10mm foilboard. It's noticeably cooler ambient wise and the radiant heat has been completely eliminated. I used to be able to feel the heat beating down from the tin roof - now nothing.
@@mal798 Yeah I did the same with 10mm in my enclosed veranda after this and the roof use to heat up the whole room scorching hot and it came into the house as well. Now it's just warm even on the hottest of days 👍🏻
