I love this piano, it's got such a nice intimate sound and when I got komplate last year, it was one of the first instruments i used to make an album with. it's not out yet, I'm still working on it.
Now I know why I just couldn’t fall asleep...I needed to end my day off with this. Just beautiful! Nils Frahm’s piano library as well as your playing. Absolutely beautiful! I’ll be glad when I can stream your full length album, lol. (No pressure, lol). Cheers, mate.
Fantastic video. You made it the way I, and i'm sure many others, love to see. Little to no introduction, straight into just compact examples of the product we're looking into. Thanks a ton man! Definetly helped my decision.
Hey man...really nice demo. I would like to know if this plugin works fine with the free kontakt player and with any midi controller. Thanks in advance.
Which earphones are you using and in general while playing VSTs what audio system you use like Headphones or Monitor Speakers or these earphones ??? And which one ???
Sorry for the late reply! I use in ear monitors because I used to live in an apartment where I couldn’t use studio monitors because I didn’t want to bother my neighbors. I am using Alclair RSM Custom in-ear monitors, but any multi-driver in ear monitor would be a great option!
For this video, I actually just used the presets of the instrument. You can definitely adjust the mechanical noises if you wanted to remove the pedal, hammer, or any of the additional resonance sound samples.
If I’m not mistaken, by default, the keyboard is spread out in a stereo setup, so lower frequency notes will play slightly heavier in the left side of the mix, whereas higher notes notes on the right side of the keyboard will sound slightly louder in the right side of the mix. This can be changed in the tone settings of the plugin though.
Beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing theses loving notes 😍! Question: Anybody knows if there is a way to scroll through the instruments with the arrow on my laptop keyboard directly? in Una corda and all the other Kontact instr? Thanks in advance ;)
Marie, Sorry for the delayed response. Life has been wild! I actually do not know of any way to jump through presets or instruments like you can in the Logic Preset browser. Hopefully someone else might have some more input on your question.
Hey! So these preset videos are actually all improvised. I briefly take a sec to get familiar with the preset I am recording, then I hit record and capture a few takes.
@@GregAllison cool that everything is improvised! what is in your opinion the best way to get femiliar with cords like this? Im a beginner/amature but i have a apitude for music and rithem. Should i primarely focus on learning chord progressions, or alot of songs? Any tips on how i can progress in a way thats fun and productive? And what is the genre you'r inspired by? When I try to play fast, after recording, i.e. after exporting as a WAV in Reaper, there are sometimes annoying noises in the background like clicky laggy noises when I play sth fast… I don’t how to describe it. Does anyone know the best Render settings for Una Corda in Reaper?
Great question! Sounds like it might be a buffer size issue. In your DAW’s audio settings, it’ll give you an option to change your buffer size. Try raising the buffer size up to see if that resolves the issue!
@@EkremBicici same thing was happening with me when I was playing " Sonuscore- The Score " , lots of crackling noises were coming from speaker then I reduced buffer size where it completely gone, for live playing I reduc buffer size but for recording i record seperate instruments and then use as sample to mix together so that my cpu won't get too much load 😅
Hey Andrew! I actually haven’t had time to play with Piano Colors much, but I I have several friends that say it has a lot more samples to choose from when designing sounds. Also, I believe there are probably more “sounds” in general. For what it’s worth, you might even check out Chroma by Sonuscore. That’s been a fun one to play with and I feel it’s also pulled some inspiration from Noire, Una Corda, and Piano Colors.
@@GregAllison Greg ! thank you really appreciate that, will check it out cheers, i think im after as much control of those fabric sounds inbetween the hammers because non of my other piano libraries that i have (spitfire) have that and ive been looking for that sound like in the work of Goldmund
@@GregAllison if u don't mind me asking another question... What's the closest you've come to finding that sound... I've heard Goldmund uses keyscapes, but it's a bit pricy for me atm
Great question! The exact number of strings depends on the model of piano, but is usually around 230 strings in total for an 88 key piano. For the tenor and treble notes, three strings are strung for each key, and for bass notes, the number of strings per note decreases from three, to two, and then to one string as you approach the lowest bass notes.
Great question! I played all of the presets without changing any of the parameters, so I did use sustain, although the final thing I did in editing was just level-match the recordings so they were a consistent volume. No compression, just brought the volumes up or down for consistency.

I love the title cards with the preset names. It must have been a lot more work, but as a viewer I appreciate it!
Your melodies are so beautiful, wow 🌸
I never post comments…. Just had to say, Thanks. Beautiful and very helpful.
Thanks Allen! I truly appreciate the kind words!
Great demo: you are playing all the right moods for each preset. Suits these strange times as well ... I loved it !

Very well done 👏 amazing
Well, i work on una cordas every day, these are beautiful instruments!
Great playing thanks for the video!
Fairies sounds like a piano mixed with a kick drum. Odd, beautiful sound
What a great demo.
i could fall asleep to this
Thanks!!!
Great demo!
thank you :) i will get this now
the music...i'm thoroughly sad now but I love these presets. thanks for sharing this with us!
Beautiful 😊
Thank you!
Really great sounds and demo performance
Thanks Daniel!
great demo, absolutely loved the vibe. is there any processing on this or these are just the raw samples?
Glad you enjoyed! Really, just some compression to level out the volume differences between presets.
To me it sounds like an exceptional CLAVICHORD, the transients are more clear crisp and less bombastic

Hi Greg, thanks for the nice video, wondering how were you able to manage to get rid of those annoying pedal noises ? Thnank for your help. Cheers.
For this video, I actually just used the presets of the instrument. You can definitely adjust the mechanical noises if you wanted to remove the pedal, hammer, or any of the additional resonance sound samples.
How to make the sound be in the center? Why is the sound in the peseta by default not in the middle but more in the right channel? Help me please.

Whats the piece called at 5:39?
And why is it so expensive :( i want to buy it but its just to much for a amature/hobbiest

And yeah, some VST instruments are fairly pricey. Check back in around November/December to see what sales they have running!

Hey, I like your keyboard on the piano. Can you tell me the model name?
Hi! I use a Studio Logic SL88 midi controller. The keyboard I have on that controller is a standard Apple Magic Keyboard.

Don’t regular pianos have one string per key also?

How do you get that resonance? Do you need a sustain pedal connected to the keyboard?
