Wooden floor glued to the chassis! Really? And are those walls made of wood screwed to an aluminium frame with polystyrene as insulation??? In this price segment (expensive), you would think that there would be a metal sandwich type floor, two sheets of aluminium with glass-fibre reinforced plastic between. The same material used for the walls and roof. It has excellent insulating properties, durable, can flex with the movement of the vehicle but still very strong, and extremely light. Wood and polystyrene are the cheepest construction materials being used in a so called high quality product. Shocking 😮

How are the chassi rails holding up mate? Looks like a lot of weight for the size of the rails the springs are welded to.

Hey guys, just starting to open my eyes to Royal Flair Caravans, and right now, my impression of the Royal Flair Piazza, and honestly, I just have to say it......... WOW!!!!👍 Good job! The showing of this Piazza, was that it was 2021! At that time you did not have an articulating hitch, or independent suspension at that time? It is my understanding it was then, and this is now, & I see you addressed that! How much time does it take to make a unit start to finish? Of course a price fully loaded? You have my full attention! You are a very quiet gem, just waiting to be discovered & shine! Does the Piazza come with bunks, or.can you change that space for an office perhaps???? I am a full time RV nutcase, I just love everything RVs. I am a 64 year old Canadian man, and if you ever want to break into the Canadian market, send me a unit, I'll test it, camping in Canadian winters is the true test in my opinion, & I love giving my opinion! What do you say, think it would pass the test?????

Any chance of getting a link to old mates FB or Workshop details? i blew a diff and axels on the way to Cooper Pedy and ended up having to buy a second hand diff housing, Diff and Axels all because my mechanic didn't install my wheel baring correctly. ( according to the mechanic in Port Augusta ) And I'd be interested in buying a complete set up from old mate and have it shipped to Tassie. Another question, would that gear oil be any good for a gearbox?

Auto Torque Biasing diffs are awesome. I had a set front and rear on my Defender 110 and it was damn near unstoppable. IMO they’re perfect for a touring rig as it’s all mechanical and no 12v or airlines to leak. You wouldn’t have to stop and engage lockers, you’d just crawl up near any track. If you have a rig with traction control it would enhance the traction control as well as it tap the brakes for a wheel slipping and multiple the torque to the wheel with all the traction. It took all the backlash out of the driveline and felt super tight to drive with no perceptible steering feel.

It would be good if speedmaster/at racing world would actually help when trying to install one of these in the front of a landcruiser. They simply say “can’t be done” Despite being a Hilux centre, they say can only be put in the back of a Hilux. Now, I understand that the gears simply need to be swapped side to side in the centre, but they will not supply torque settings nor will they supply information about reducing preload

Looks great guys. Love the small manufacturing. I would take out the claim of rivets are stronger than welds… it not true but rivets are a great way to assemble this and a lot more practical than welding. I think id like to see shot in foam insulation in the walls. It would give the walls a much better R value and sound insinuation and a huge boost for a selling point. Something to consider. Love the pride and organization of the crew. Seams like a great company.

That polystyrene foam insulation degrades PVC insulation on cables it's a no no with electricians in UK ,it has the possibility of causing electrical faults that may be dangerous

Nice looking van, but the wiring is just not right. I understand they don't have to meet any standards for the LV portion. I know all vans are the same, but how do you fault find or replace a wire in that? It's stuff like that which let's down good products. The industry as a whole need to lift its game in regards to wiring and layout. Plumbing is not much better on most.

We have a 2017 19 foot 6 SS semi off road. We have done about 40,000 km in it so far (not much) it’s been up as far as Cooktown & across to Coober via William Creek. It has weathered some fairly horrendous wind & some hail! It doesn’t leak, it’s not cold or hot & we absolutely love it! Congratulations on a fantastic presentation on THE best caravans on the roads of Australia & NZ!! Well done J, Nic, Jacob & all the crew 🇦🇺💙🍻

Interesting to watch. Gives you an idea of what’s involved. One thing I noticed in the wiring up was that 230VAC wiring touching the 12VDC? Doesn’t AS3001 which references AS3000:2018 prohibits that? The PowerPoint in the bathroom is in the prohibited zone for the basin and shower. Just saying.
