By saying that God can be affected by the world (and thus can change through some strange interplay of ascribed physical characteristics like energy onto spirit), you imply that God is not perfect, that there is nothing complete in Him because something can be "fixed" or "updated". Updated to what, exactly? Eventually, despite your efforts to shun Aquinas, you will arrive at a Thomistic First Cause, the Unmoved Mover. If something can change, there has to be something that can dictate how it changes. And that cannot certainly be humanity, since we are finite (we die, we can't know everything, we make mistakes, etc). We know this from our reason and observation of the natural world, which is the smoking gun, not the avatar, of God. At the very least, please try to accept a Divine Watchmaker, where something outside this "system" sets everything in motion.

modern "science" claims consciousness comes from matter, Objective Evolution. whereas the Saints from India teach us that matter is concept of Consciousness. Life comes from Life. Subjective Evolution of Consciousness. the Soul is Indestructible Eternal & Blissful. Before Christianity deals with modern "science" which is merely the guesswork of blind folk, It needs to (and some have done so, to Their credit) accept that it is NOT the central absolute Truth, but a partial representation of said Truth. Like a planet orbiting the Sun. Metaphorically speaking, if one takes the Sun to be this Truth, Christianity is but one approach towards the great Eternal Lord. Above sonhood, there is fServitude, friendship, parenthood and consorthood. Love goes deeper and deeper and religions can be "judged" by it's level of Love. i understand it is hard for most "Christians" to accept this Truth, but it IS the Truth. To be honest there is a very large percentage of "Christians" and obviously those other "faiths" who thing religion means joining a club and waving the flag of said club, disrespecting the "other" clubs and going no deeper than THIS. i was raised as a Christian, so i know of what i speak. i mean no disrespect against anyone, i have met many many wonderful followers of Lord Jesus, who are wonderful examples of love, mercy, kindness, humility, tolerance and faith. True followers of Christ, not lip-deep hell dodging fault-finders. Everything we need comes as a kind gift from Our Dear Lord, we need nothing else, only His Mercy. We don't need to be smart, or to be great renunciants or to "know" everything, we just need to be faithful, kind and "forgive those who trespass against us. We cant approach thru the gates of Mercy, while demanding justice for others, this is the great secret of Spiritual Life. Modern science and their "philosophy" of no life after death, has created this nonsense "Devil may care" society where one might as well just live a life totally trying to satisfy one's senses, no matter the cost, and now just look at the place !! All the God Loving Peoples of the World really should come together in a spirit of Brotherly & Sisterly respectful Love, because the demonic section is very very busy encouraging the innocent folk to join them in the race to the bottom. One good idea would be to follow Christ and perhaps Stop Killing, as in Thou shall NOT...... Whether one can accept that this means exactly what It says..... KILL, not Murder. Killing and eating innocent animals just for the sensual pleasure of one's tongue is actually a Sin. Humans do NOT need to eat meat, millions of folk around the World never eat meat and they are not suffering because of it. Milk and Cheese are bountiful. Lord Jesus tolerated the folk He was trying to reach, but the world has grown since then, one cannot develop the Mercy one would find useful in one's spiritual journey, while one commits violence on beings who have mothers and fathers, sisters brother, who feel fear and pain, Cows cry when their calves are dragged from them, as any Mother would. As Jesus say's "What you do to the least of Mine.... you do to Me !" my sincere apologies for any offence i may have cause anyone in writing this, it really is not my intention to do so. But i am a low-born sinful type. i wish everyone Peace and Joy with Lord Jesus in our hearts, especially with Good Friday & Easter approaching. Lord Jesus really showed us The Perfect example of living selflessly for others, instead of living selfishly with only one's immediate sense gratification and ego massaging as one's goal. God Bless you All 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤❤🌻🌻🌻🌻🌞

we are NOT the universe, the universe is gross and subtle matter, which we observe. we are spiritual conscious sparks of God. “Whoever has come to know the world has found the (dead) body." "He who is near me is near the fire, and he who is far from me is far from the kingdom.

Thanks to Dr Delio for an excellent lecture. I particularly like the part on the evolution of both Jesus the Christ and all of God’s flock, which allows me to look at what was said in the Bible (Luke) “Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do” in modern light. Everyone (with few exceptions) knows right from wrong will be the moral growth since these words were spoken. The inspired writers of the Bible subtly named the Saviour The second Coming of Christ instead of Jesus the Christ because of a similar evolution of Christ. One cannot exercise judgement on the flock (which includes teachers, preachers and professors) and be fair due to potential conflicts of interest if one’s mindset is according to those spoken words. Still, it is most important to be aware of the foot steps of The Second Coming of Christ when the pace towards judgement quickens. As the lyrical poet Bob Dylan said ‘ Since my feet are now fast, and point away from the past’: time is of the essence. However, whether or not any individual wants to follow in those footsteps, and guard against corruption, negative Nationalistic views (which include nepotism and other forms of corruption) will always be the individual’s choice.

The problem here is that it would be better to leave Jesus out of this altogether. Jesus clearly said some very radical things that just don’t fit with this theology. Her Jesus is too woolly and too cosy to be the Jesus of the Gospels. The real Jesus has too many sharp edges to fit into the round hole she has created for him. CS Lewis Mere Christianity - “ I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him [that is, Christ]: ‘I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept His claim to be God.’ That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic-on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg-or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse…. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come up with any patronising nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.”

Thank you for this talk. McGilchrist in his book The Matter With Things makes a distinction between Pantheism and PanENtheism which is more than simply knowing “god is everything” and helps explain why God is also the Creator and worthy of our prayers and supplication. So, much as I appreciate the talk, it does sound a bit New Age and putting humans at the center of the cosmic whole. There are deeper truths in the old stories that we should continue to contemplate.

The "creator" side of our Lord, is a very small part. He enjoys at Home with the One's He Loves and Who Love Him. Lord Jesus did not go into detail about these matters, They are far too confidential and easy to misunderstand. Being the Creator isn't a big deal. He is the MOST Beautiful, Most Humorous, Most Merciful, The Strongest.. EVERYTHING ! The Creator side of Him is just, in one sense.... an unhappy chore, creating a place for rebellious Souls to enjoy their foolish desires separate from Him. ALL The Lord wants is that you Love Him, not because He creates stuff, but because He Loves YOU, and we are only the unhappy LOSERS when we choose to ignore His Love. My father loved me, i didnt care that he bulit our house, Love is above such things Surely ! Don't you agree ? Also, as you say... the New age stuff has a habit of creeping in everywhere. Let's be honest .. The mis-reading of Christianity, with its Dogmas, misogyny and violence is partly to blame for this, this idea that life is just between me and God, with Nature just the background for our"Play", certainly helped nurture this "Human" centred society. The misdeeds of the Christian Churches and the aforementioned "nature as background only", lead to the so-called Enlightenment, where God was replaced by Man as "THAT worthy of worship". The "new-age" didn't cause this, The Churches DID. Although i still accept the point you are making. If we all want to grow, then adults accept responsibility for their mistakes, learn from them, move on and grow. And remember..... "Today is the first day of the rest of your Life. " 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤢😊😇 as the New agers say !
