Your sewing space looks too neat !!! lol 😂
What a lovely quilt! So much work and thoughts going into them, by so many hands. I wish I knew of someone in my area who does longarm quilting. I love making the quilt tops, but struggle quilting them with my domestic machines.
Thank you so much for your comment. I take it you have checked to see if there is anyone? You can always post them to someone, if you check reviews etc beforehand, or get recommendations. A lot of longarmers are happy to receive quilt tops by post, they will discuss what you want, and then post back to you. It is a struggle with a domestic, I did it for many years so I feel your pain xxxx

Hi. Brenda from Conquering Mount Scrapemore recomended your videos
Thanks for coming along. Love Brenda!!!
That quilt is beautiful. I am going to ask in my area in NE Alabama to see if anyone can use any quilts. We are in a small rural county. Great job.
I am sure, if you look into it, there would be someone in need of donated quilts - it's a nice feeling to know you have perhaps brought some comfort to someone in need xxx
Beautiful quilt and information. I have participated in a sibling quilt program for children in foster care thru my guild. It can be difficult to keep all children with siblings so there is a summer camp program for a week. And siblings get to go to camp and just be kids. Great job for whoever made the quilt and to you for finishing it. As of my post, you have 996 subscribers. Hope it will be 1000 soon.
Thank you so much for your comment, and how exciting - as I write this to you I am at the 1K mark. Wahooo!!!! Thank you for subscribing and helping me get there xxxx
So good of you. It looks wonderful!
Thank you for your lovely comment. I really enjoyed finishing it, and I am sure someone will love it xxx
Best wishes
Thank you so much xx
Another great catchup Emma - love the bumble bee quilt x
Thanks Maureen xx
Yes I put a label on all my quilts. Either hand written or on my embroidery machine to document when it was made, where and by whom and who it went to.
Fantastic. I wish I was more organised 🥴
I try to always add a label to the quilts I make for people 👍 My Bernina, a quilting edition, has an alphabet, so I start each label with - This quilt was made with love and stitches for …. Attaching a label is NOT my favourite job 😳😳 so I’m trying to remember to actually sew it into the backing piece before I create my quilt sandwich, and I get quite cross with myself if I forget 😂😂 Looking forward to seeing all your finished quilts 😃 and I’m really keen to make a pinwheel quilt 🥰 👏👏🇬🇧
That sounds like a good plan, to embroider them and attach them but I think I would forget as well. I wonder if I could get some printed up - hmm, might be worth thinking about. Go for the Pinwheel. Hope you are well xxxx
I just hand write the laundering instructions. I mainly make quilts for the NICU department. Cheers, Lynn
That's a good idea. I know someone who has labels printed with the washing instructions like you have in clothes and that gets sewn into the binding. It's lovely to make quilts for special places like NICU, I am sure they are much loved and appreciated. Thank you for your comment xx
my long arm also dislikes going right to left. Thread breaks easily unless I go VERY slow. I don’t usually do labels. But when I do I have some that I had made off ETSY with a logo my friend made for me…but I usually forget to sew it in
It's funny isn't it how they don't like certain directions. I did one run right to left and it was fine, but the second time it broke which was when I decided to just stick to left to right. It wasn't a big chore really. Yes, I might look at getting some labels printed, good plan. But yes, just to remember then to put them in! Thank you for commenting xxx
I am lucky enough to own an embroidery machine so i just embroider a little note and made label directly onto the quilt. am very envious of your long arm! I lost my quilting mojo a while ago but am just getting back into it. mind you, i have decided to make a cathedral window quilt this year - not sure what i was thinking!!
Embroidering them is a great idea. I have an alphabet on my sewing machine so maybe I should look at that. Quilting mojo comes and goes doesn't it? I try not to beat myself up too much if I don't feel like it, but it's hard isn't it? I have all this fabric and feel guilty if I don't use it. Cathedral Window is lovely, but you are brave doing a quilt - by hand or machine??
@@tenminutequilter using sewing machine. Will probably take me about 5 years but its been my wish for a long time. keep up the good work and look forward to the next video x
@@cherylmatthews2629 Thank you so much. Take care xx
Hello. Which Bernina machine do you have and where did you purchase it from please? Assuming it was the UK xx
Hello there, thanks for your question. I have a Q20 Bernina but I have it on a small frame as I don't have space for a larger one. Having said that, the size suits me really and I don't think I would go bigger. Yes, bought in the UK and I actually got it via Ebay. The lady who sold it was having health issues unfortunately. It is worth checking, they do come up every so often. xx
@@tenminutequilter thank you for your response. Having just purchased the cutie breeze your machine caught my attention. I’d love a machine like yours as I believe the BSR is inbuilt. But the little rebel is more achievable price wise. But eBay I’d never thought of. So I’m really glad I asked. Happy sewing xx
@@lyndacottam397 Yes, the BSR is inbuilt which is great. Ebay is always worth keeping an eye on, although I think they tend to hold their price these days, so it's hard to find a bargain. But you never know....
Isn’t Oregon beautiful?
Oh it most certainly is. Would love to spend more time there xx
Such a beautiful quilt 🌺 Can’t wait to see the photos of the quilt and get the measurements of it as well, I would love to make one myself
Ahh thank you. It's finished and measures up at 76" x 69". Came out the wash beautifully. Looking forward to giving it to her now. xx
It's lovely!
Thank you so much xx
That’s lovely! You are too hard on yourself with critics. We are all our own worst critics! Please keep going with your style of videoing. Love it! x
Ahh thank you. I sometimes worry they are too short to get anything across but I enjoy doing the Quilt of the Week ones. Thank you for your comment xxx
Beautiful ❤❤
Thank you, and thanks for your lovely comment x
So very lovely I have needing to be inspired with a new quilt that would show large and small prints with different size blocks. I do enjoy the challenge of the math and filler blocks. Glad to have found your site
Ahh, thank you so much. I really enjoyed the challenge of putting it together, I like quick finishes but this was fun. Thank you for taking the time to comment xx
What a gorgeous gift! I’m a fan of extending birthday celebrations beyond the actual day so I think your timing is fine😂
Thank you xx. I agree, it spreads it out a bit doesn't it? xxx
I think she will love it! ❤
Fingers crossed. Thank you for watching x
Stunning quilt Emma - she’ll be over the moon xx
Oooh let's hope so xxxx
I think adding the cream between some of the blocks gives them room to ‘shine out’ rather than just be a jumble - love it!
Thank you Glynis, yes I think it might have been a bit busy otherwise. Hope you are well xxx
love how it turned out
Thank you. Let's hope she likes it xxxx
Beautiful quilt.❤
Thank you xxx
That's a stunning quilt Emma, thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much. Take care xx
Thanks for sharing
My pleasure, thanks for watching x
This came out beautifully. I would love to make something similar. I'm sure she will love it!
Thank you. Fingers crossed xxxx

Wow! There are some very clever crafters in the world. Thanks for sharing. ❤👍from Somerset
Yes, some very talented folks around. Thank you for watching and for your lovely comment xx
Love the travel vlog about your travels to the Sisiers quilt show. I have never gone but hope to one day. Love the pictures and information. Nice that your husband stayed with you for the day. I am sure his assistance and company was appreciated.
Thank you for watching. It was lovely to have him with me. He was very attentive, and very interested in the quilts - I was very impressed. Mind you, it was payback time on the Monday as we went in a drift boat down the river with a guide for the day so he could fish. Nice to support each other though. Thank you for your comment x
It was so fun to see you in person! I really wished we could have spent more time with you. Thanks for the slide show of those amazing quilts. It's so inspiring!
Thanks Carie, next time we must do longer! Did you notice all the City Sampler quilts? There were loads with different setting ideas xxx
I so want to go see it, wish it was more then one day show.
It is most definitely worth a visit, we had such a lovely day despite the heat. It was busy, but it seemed to absorb the crowds without it feeling packed. Are you in the States? Would be a nice trip away. Thank you so much for your comment xx
@@tenminutequilter I live in San Francisco, so yeah, it would be like weekend trip for me
@@SewingWithLawayne Would highly recommend it then if you can. Have you been to any of the QuiltCons? But they tend to be further south than you I think. xx
The quilting softened it so much!! Lovely ❤️❤️
It did didn't it? Thank you xxx
Brilliant tutorial - I’m off to make one xx
Another one????
Just exactly what I need. I don't want a star that is 7 or 8 points. Just what I see here is good for me. Thank you
I'm so pleased. Thank you for your lovely comment x
Look forward to seeing another video.
Thank you so much xx
Your video is super useful! 👍 But it’s not reaching enough people because the SEO isn’t done. 🚀🔍
Good to see you. :). I love your t-shirt! Where is it from? I need to organise myself a lone quilt retreat. Such a good idea!
I had my doubts about doing it at first and wondered if I would feel a bit Nobby no-mates but...I didn't! It was quite liberating to be able to what I wanted, when I wanted and not to have to think about anyone else - would recommend! The t-shirt is nice isn't it? Fancy That Design House - she's in the States though unfortunately. Hubby goes quite a lot for business so he picked it up for me. She is quite church orientated but I like her t-shirt designs with the blocks on. Thanks for the comment, hope you are ok. Are you doing Festival this year???
Another lovely video. The scrap bags are fantastic!!
Thank you so much! I think they are good value actually. ❤️❤️
Glad to see you back -❤ love your Somerset star vinyl bag and also the big weekend bag xx
Thank you!! 😊
Love your videos.
Thank you so much, and thank you for watching xx
How about a wedding present for your son xx
Oooh I never thought about that!! What a good idea - I might see if it is their cup of tea. Thank you xx
The salt air fabric is lovely and the pattern is brilliant 😊
It is a lovely pattern - actually thinking about doing it again. Thank you for your comment xxxxx
Never boring. Always a delight to see your videos!!
Ahh thank you so much, what a lovely comment 🥰
That's the cutest story with the no quilting and a little bit. I giggle. I did the piecing and haven't done EPP yet but plan to. I just love piecing but don't the quilting part especially for the larger-sized bed quilts. I have had to repair a tied quilt because the ties came out and the waddling/batting all fell to the bottom. Thank goodness it was a baby quilt! We all just keep learning. That's the fun of it. Your friends quilt is a beauty! I'm sure the family love it.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. We do tend to fall into the two categories don't we? Love the piecing but not the quilting or the other way round. Every day is a school day as my husband always says!! Take care xxx
