Thanks for the pleasure of your video and meeting this wonderful family. You are so blessed.
@@lizziedee7755 thank you soo much and God Bless
Will cut the sugar to 1/4 cup.
It is a little sweet. We did the same thing on our next batch we did.
Beautiful Loaves. Thank you for sharing.
Cool
Did you use pine for this? How is it holding up?
This was pine. So far it’s holding up well. When I build another one, I’ll use a harder wood. Thanks for the question.
Thank u for your video. Watching from South Iowa 12/8/23 Love seeing your family involved
Thank you for watching :) Glad you enjoyed it
I thought it was measure twice cut once lol
Safety first ? with a wobbly table saw ?
I realize this is 3 years ago but I thought jars were o my supposed to be a finger tip tight?? I’m new fairly new to this….🤔🤔🤔
Thanks for the comment. I did some research and you’re right. The rings should be snug not wrenched super tight. We’ve always tightened ours down pretty tight without any issues but finger tip tight allows the pressure to vent during the water bath. Thanks again 😃
Not only did you tighten them you got the big old tool out to make them tighter!!!😂😂😂. I have been doing this about 2 years and I thought you were on to something new😂😂
I'm considering creating a water dispenser for mature goats by attaching a goat's nipple to a barrel. Based on your experience, do you think mature goats would use this setup for drinking?
We tried the metal pig nipple early on and they wouldn’t us it. I don’t think adults would use a nipple of any sort. You could try it on a cheap 5 gallon bucket and see.
Good job explaining what you did, it helped.
Cute family'❤❤❤
Thanks 😊
Sweet idea!!!!
Thank you so much. Sure saves time.
It is a very useful blog and very important information about Mulch.
Im curious of your method. I traditionally used ethyl alcohol to extract flower oils
Since this was our first time, I didn’t include the method but we use a distiller or “still” if you will. Stainless steel and copper coils.
Recipe please.
I will get that to you as soon as I ask the wife 😊
I’ve used black plastic for many years. Once I’ve secured it down, I water the plastic heavily, and where the puddles form, I poke holes in it to allow drainage from the rain. If I’m planting potatoes or melons and squash, I form the mounds BEFORE laying down the plastic. I’ve recently invested in a large piece of heavy landscape fabric, one used for commercial applications and reuse it from year to year. I simply take it up in the late fall, and rotate its position the following growing season. Obviously, the layout remains the same, but in a different orientation.
Float was a little too high. Water will overflow before it cuts off.
Actually it’s been working perfect for over 2 years now.
What type of fertilizer did you use?
Triple 15
Nice idea sir keep it up❤ love from pakistan❤
I’m looking to convert one of my shade houses into a floriculture garden for cut flowers for the kids. It all set up with 20% shade netting and irrigation. Last year, because it was a secondary grow space, it didn’t get weeded much, and grass grew and took over. I’ve just tilled it up, removed everything, added a layer of wood shavings and was considering testing the black plastic method this season.
The black plastic wont be too hot?
We don’t have any issues. The plastic retains moisture and actually sweats keeping the ground damp.
Very nice
Thank 😊
You could shorten the barrel piece you cut off to make a shield.
Funny you said that, I just pulled that piece out and was thinking the exact same thing. Thanks
Great job smart man
Thanks. Just trying to make thing a little easier on the homestead
This is BRILLIANT! Thanks for the inspiration, from across the pond.
Thanks 😊anything to make the chores easier lol
Love the chicken feeder creation!! (The goat safe variety). This is exactly the problem we are trying to solve. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching. The video showing the chicken coop build sows an auto feeder that’s inside the coop and it works great but the baby goats can get in the coop so that’s why I came up with this.
You can use the bottom of the top piece and cut it about 8 inches long, and put it over the float end it would cover it all up
If I'm not mistaken I think vinegar kill goats.
?
I'm a Nigerian, and i'm proud of my dwarf goats. Nice video.
I love the drone footage!!! it adds a great perspective to your video
Thanks 😊
Wow 😮 so much to learn
That white chicken is pretty
I did know goats 🐐 have to have a special diet I thought they can eat anything
Believe it or not they are actually kinda picky. Good hay and a little goat feed as a supplement. Baking soda and minerals. Oh yeah and fresh water. 😊
😮 stinky lol
Great video thanks for sharing this I hope you keep them coming I totally enjoy learning about goats 🐐!
I’m glad you enjoy the videos. I’ll be posting new ones soon.
I enjoy watching your videos I hope to see you soon 😊
Thank you. I need to get my lazy tail out and do some more vids lol. Thanks for subscribing 👍🏻
That’s plenty water probably to much it will get nasty an hot very fast
Actually, we've been using this system for 2 years now without any issues. I clean it once a years and flush the tubing 2 to three time a year. Take 15 minutes tops. as far as temperature, I'm not sure if it because they are blue barrels but the goats have never seemed to mind and when i clean the small barrell, the water always feels cool to lukewarm even on the hottest days. But thanks for the comment. maybe other people have thought the same thing and now they can read my comment. :)
Thanks for the video, rainy day in SC and been snagging ideas for a chicken watering system, lots of great ideas in this video!
Thanks! We enjoy our little homestead.
I love you logo for Honey Buzz Lavender!!
Love the build. Have suggestion on improvement. Take cut off from bottom of tank, shorten and use couple latches to secure where they can't get to float. You may have already done that. I will build couple for my goats. great design.
Thank for your comment. I was concerned with the float but so far, the goats haven’t messed with it and it have been doing great for 2 years now. You will have to clean the little hole where the water feeds into the small Barrel. Thanks again. 😃
Like the design. On the one I am making I will temp stick the 2 sides together and use a bandsaw to cut the slots to keep the cuts even on both sides. LOL I got nervous for you as your table saw wobbled.
Thanks and it’s working great. Yeah I was kinda worried myself lol.
Use a soaker hose at the outside garden after the regular hose Leigh needed to get to beds . Just thinking .
So the black plastic garden didn't make it, eh. Do you have a very flat land that the water just sat upon instead of rolling off?
Yep. We should’ve made raised rows so the water would run off. But our raised beds have done super! The issue with these is that we put them end to end and up against the fence which made it difficult to harvest. So this year we turned them and put a walkway between them. So far, they a looking beautiful and a lot easier to harvest. Live and learn 😌
Did you pressure can or water bath can the mulberry jam?
Water bath
For 10 minutes
Love this video! Great, no nonsense demo. I came looking for some ideas to use my slightly overly ripe peaches/ must admit I hadn’t thought of baking bread with them, lol. You have a lovely family. Thanks so much, I subscribed. 👍
Thank you so much for the comment and for subscribing
Great video, subscribed for more. One favor to ask, do you mind putting a list of your supplies, link, and cost in the description?
