I really didn't understand this at first. Watched it through like... ten times easily trying to follow it. I was missing some crucial information. I'll offer further info in the hope that helps someone else who needs it. Principle 1: Each of the circles corresponds to a symptom. It's ridiculous how long it took me to realise this. The corner symptoms only link to one respective colour. If they ever get revealed, you know the disease lives in that layer. The edge symptoms each link to two respective colours so could relate to either, although if you got two different edge symptoms you'd have a definitive answer relating to one colour. The central symptom links to all three colours, so isn't useful on its own and really only exists to make things a little more complicated. Principle 2: Normal tinctures can reveal one symptom of the 4 relating to their colour, but will only reveal symptoms relating to the colour the disease lives in. Thus, if the disease is in green and I give an orange tincture, then either the central, or the green-orange symptom would be revealed, but no others. If the disease is in green and I give green, then any of the 4 could be revealed. Principle 3: Plus tinctures can reveal up to 2 symptoms, if possible. Again, these are chosen at random from the available symptoms. This means it's very likely to reveal its own colour, so if there's uncertainty, it's likely to be the other colour, but not definite (it could just have chosen the two bordering that other colour at random). If there's any uncertainty after giving one Plus tincture, it will always be solvable after the second normal tincture of any colour, given which if any new symptoms are revealed. The kicker is that plus tinctures increase pain a LOT more. Understanding this, and watching the video through again, I finally see how to game the system. I have a pocket full of immunity booster pills. Those are for me. I will be nipping out to the steppe for regular swevery in the early mornings and evenings. That's for my patients. Things are going a lot better on this second playthrough.

this was well done. Though I've found that giving people pills isn't very efficient for me. I found out that just killing thugs at night fills the bar pretty quickly. figured this out on my third play through but I'm glad I know now.

I could have kept BOTH Vlad's alive?! I read a guide that said to go to old Vlad, then young, then old again to make older Vlad go to the termitary. He said he would send people after him but Vlad still goes to the termitary and he ends up dead by the end of the schism part. So if I do it this way, Vlad won't have to go at all?

Maybe it's obvious but blocking during a fight makes your stamina regenerate faster. I use that when I need to escape, by sprinting for a while then turn around and walk backwards while blocking, to see when they get too close again. Can be exploited during day 1 if you want to move around faster. Edit: The user "Unofficial Pathologic 2 channel" in this comment section has a video showing this.

Now I finally understand the symptoms after 3+ years... Until now whenever I got the middle symptom I just thought the tincture didn't work because the patient was being extra difficult. So I was supposed to quone him (in layman terms give another tincture).

I decided recently while sick in real life to do a max difficulty no save scumming no haruspex deaths save everyone challenge run. I made it into Olonngo infected with capped hunger, capped exhaustion, and less than a quarter health. But I haven't died yet. I decide to use your methods to tackle this challenge. I somehow do it on my first try, and make it to the end of the abattoir with 4 bottles of blood and my zero death count intact... and then when I climb the ladder my game crashes, and I'm back at the beginning. Actually wept. Nevertheless, thank you for your tactics.

The tub ones I never used but they were everywhere, and those water pumps look just like one you would... use. 24:40 I always wondered if anything you say/reply in this game matters at all, considering it seems like most of the choices you select seem to end at the same path of dialogue anyway. 27:10 I never noticed that poster.. I am assuming you can follow that as a guide for making antibiotics haha
