I’m sure this has been mentioned before but the 1958 doesn’t have the multi terrain select and the disconnecting front sway bar. So, not really *all* the off road features.

I'd go for the 1958. I might have a local body shop paint the roof a contrasting color, as I love the look. I'd also look for after market bash guards. Now I just need to wait for sanity pricing from the (st)dealers. Look at what is included on the 1958, I don't consider it a basic model at all. Very happy Toyota got away from the $100K Land Cruisers (adjust 2021 price for inflation) and went back to their roots.

We got the LT with the two optional packages minus the sunroof. It’s great so far.

I have the mosaic black LT and love it. I must say that out of the 11th cars I have owned this one is my most favorite.

I dont know what Mazda is thinking.....they really need to think about their color combinations....I seriously was abt to pickup my 2nd Mazda in 2 years...a CX-30.....I already have CX-5 Non Turbo in Silver and love it but the only Turbo Premium in my area were all white and 1 DarK blue.....not my scene but one was ALMOST perfect - Machine Gray Metallic with Black rims....PERFECT and the you open the door and WHITE LEATHER!!!??? *BARF!!!!! Hello Mazda? A Turbo....a Dark Gray with Black wheels.....guess who your customer is for that combo in a Turbo -98% GUYS! Specifically mostly Alphas males.......you dont put out that machine metallic with black rims in a Turbo and then NOT finish it up with the Black and Brown or the Terracotta/Red - thats a layup!! White leather destroys the entire VIBE of that exterior feel and Turbo spirit..... keep your White leather for Platinums or Soul Reds with Steel silver rims and non-Turbos......what a miss.....i ran away from that monstrosity and snagged the Mazda 3 Turbo instead with BLACK LEATHER-😂

Crazy outrageous prices.. it was a car smart buyer.. now it is outrageous overprice, gas guzzler where is the hybrid... u are not telling folks outrageous gas mileage and cost increases $$$$

I'm picking up a Phantom Black AWD Hybrid Calligraphy tomorrow. I have to drive 210 miles to buy it. Stock is crazy low for Hybrids at this time. This was a great video breaking down all the trim levels!

Without a V8 or V6 engine there is no way to justify the high price for a 4cylider turbo engine. Putting a 4cylider turbo engine in a mid sized SUV 🚙 is not something most drivers will settle for.

Doesn't matter, because there are only two levels (SE and XSE), and only one is available. Just get an SE and be happy. It's a breakthrough car. Dealers and consumers are completely missing the main feature of this car. The RAV4 Prime is a performance SUV. It's quicker than the similarly sized BMW X3. Forget all this business about running it in EV mode until the gas engine has to take over. The electric part of the powertrain has been set up like a turbo-charger. Just put the car in "normal" mode, press the accelerator, and take off. Instantaneous acceleration. It also has surprisingly nimble handling. The sport seats in the Prime SE sit lower than any of the standard LE RAV4s, and they hold your butt in place as you zoom around town. When you test drive one, I suggest you drive the fanciest standard or hybrid XLE they've got. Then get in an SE Prime, and you won't believe the difference. It even sounds better. You'll have a hard time keeping your checkbook in your pocket.

Please please please make one of these as soon as all the 2025 4runner specs come out lol THANKS!!!

RAV4 doesn't use a CTV, it uses an eCVT. Though they both have CVT in the name, their technical implementations are worlds apart. An eCVT doesn't use a belt/chain, instead it uses electronic motors to control gear production. I believe the Honda CR-V also uses a eCVT.

Too bad almost all Toyota dealers are jacking up prices, $5, $10, even $20k over MSRP. Totally turned me off from my prior decision to buy one.

MSRP aside, as of today most available models are jacked up by Toyota dealers at least $5-10k over MSRP. And most available seem to be black or underground which look nice clean but show every speck of dirt, water spots and pollen. The local dealer markups over MSRP turned me off from converting to Toyota after 20 years in Acuras.

I'm not convinced that the Prime advantages are not offset by the disadvantage of higher price and related issues, as fairly well-covered by this vid, so I am sure this vid was an excellent help to me in understanding the question. Add a look at resale value to perhaps allow an answer.
