Hey Pat ! Nice video your about thirty minutes from my Husband and I’s neck of the woods. We go to Badin all the time with our boat to fish and cruise around . In the summer the spot you camped out down the whole road you would see a lot of tents set up along the way . Love your fire stove too and we neee to invest in one as well ! And usually the water isn’t that brown but unfortunately from all the rain we’ve had it’s really brown it’s usually very dark blue ! Glad you enjoyed something close to our home ! Keep the videos coming !

You went over with Davis Shore Ferry and came back on Cape Lookout Cabins and Camps Ferry. Two totally different companies. I hope you went back and paid for your ferry ride over.

I’ve found the best surf fishing in February is to be had on ramp 72 (South Point) on Ocracoke island. Especially if you see multiple days of decent southwest winds in a row.

Thanks for this video....I want to do the same thing as you...Go to the Point without a fancy ORV or Camper.

My husband and I are headed out in the next few weekends to do surf fishing and I'm definitely going to take your advice on how to make these. Thank you so much for your hard work and putting together this video.

Thanks for the video. Great idea on how to cheaply make sputniks. I wonder if it would work if you were to glue the wires in with epoxy? Put some on each wire just outside the hole and pull them into position. Epoxy stands up really well to salt water so it might work OK.

They used to dump the old cars there to help build the dunes. It didn’t help too much. Nice video, been a long while since I was at CALO.

Nice video and commentary! I got to give Cape Lookout another visit. Me and some ladies jumped off a perfectly good boat and swam over to the beach one afternoon 45 years ago.
