Well i play this game almost from the start and still dont have corrodius so... yea

How can you tell which enemies are the ones you need to kill to complete the wave, particularly when there are several on the map?

whelp. glad I got Wrask to silver 2 & Maldus to gold, have my doubts I can consistently defeat that 11th wave but by Malal ill try!

Thanks Nox, much appreciated guide to familiarise us with the new Survival iteration. Not sure if you are aware, but TH-cam is showing an ad on the bottom left of the screen whilst your content is playing, partially covering some of the gameplay; most frustrating! Maybe you can position the gameplay window on the right or display it in portrait mode, as I have seen some creators do this.

I'm a new player and I have azkor but since he's weak I have him iron I. Do I really need to level him up, or is it automaxed at each rarity?

Interesting gameplay. I used the Death Guard in the TA. Really tanky and Rotbone is key. Got the Final Tournament Event Crate, not something I do very often. Still, I'm really looking forward for the next Faction War. Definitely much better than previous events. Keep it up Nox.

Great video. I haven’t had much occasion to practice with the Tau, so I mess them up horribly. Haha. Doing these videos for each faction would be great to watch. 🍻

Maybe you should try to play more full-wolves to better see how they work as a team. all of their different 2-men attacks. the classic Arjac+Tjark opening deepstrike+grapple move. the more recent grapple howl. same, but bringing the enemy in range of Ragnar instead of Arjac. a more defensive ice barrage with Ulf and Njal. you can also do full overpowering combos with ragnar howl with kill, followed by Ulf's active for Njal to come in for a third kill, while on the side, you were placing Arjac and Tjark for their respective active moves to finish the last or far away ones. :-) the T'au attacks looks like defensive moves always. trying to keep them safe behind their drones. you can't play wolves like that. you have to put Arjac in the most dangerous spots, he's the bait, he's the wall, and the finisher (if he survives). Njal is good and slow coming in the back, each turn providing him new 'power up zones'. and against the tau, while they always want to control the center of the map, wolves can just go around and then attack from all sides. I had troubles with Sho'syl sometimes, but that was before Njal. Re'vas can't do nothing.. I can turn it off on opening with Arjac, then I can prevent him from moving away with Njal, I can come in contact with him from up to 6 hexes with Tjark if necessary.... once you removed those 2, the others can't do much by themselves... wolves are still dangerous when they're missing a few of them. in faction war against the orks, they killed ragnar first, before he could even howl, even less get a kill, and still manage to win with Njal and Tjark. Njal getting 2 kills at once (they moved form the ice. so I had 2 ice bonus on his range attack :) ), and he oneshot the grot tank at turn 4, leaving only gibba alone, against my half-health Tjark and Njal and a big area of ice next to gibba. and 2 ork boys that finally managed to kill Arjac after 2 turns and are now too far to come back to help him. Maybe I played too much full-wolves, but they have so many great team-up moves I never see anyone talk about :-)

1:36 *Small correction:* Black Templars don't have Terminator Armour. Brother Burchard has Mk X Gravis, but that is the closest one of them gets.

Can't quite 100% Epic 1 as my Mataneo is only Bronze 1. I tried adding Bellator to the mix for an extra summon but the clever Gaunts still attacked Mataneo. Edit: Forgot to say thank you Nox!

Thank you for this guide, it's very helpfull for players who don't have a legendary roster and even those who do. I was able to 100% this quest chain, the 2nd of it's like I've been able to do so. Now I have diffinitively prooved to myself, it's better to fast track to legendary mission and farm it for the legendary upgrade as the rewards for 100% are trash. :)

This quest is certainly unfriendly to beginners. I'm power level 39K, and I can't even finish full-medaling the Rare section.

Couldn’t see this mentioned in comments already, @nox, but common 1 can’t use Vindicta as she has 4 hits. This is a tough set of challenges if you don’t have the Templars unlocked.

A tip for the last stage: swap Certus for Isabella, so that if your Vidicta is less than G2 and she dies, you'll be able to revive her later. Also the first move should be done with Lucien so that Vindicta gets her faith buff.

I dont have Brother Buchard, but I do have Azrael, Do you think that will be enough?

Great video, as always! Got me all the way 500/500 up to the legendary, for which I just don't have the Diamond characters yet. However I did manage to cheese out all the chests by sacrificing Marneus turn 1 and huddling around Incisus towards the top.

Is there any hope for one such as I with lowly Bronze 2 characters

Epic2 you have a solid strategy but you could improve the positioning on that one a lot. First turn incisus can hide behind certus (for a res if it really were necessary), then turn 4 going with your setup until after certus kills the gaunt on the right, in that moment move burchard one north and attack, place lucien on the grass south of the pool left of burchard (and kills the gaunt if necessary), then incisus takes position where burchard was and heals. This way the tyranid warrior will only use a normal attack on lucien alone instead of hitting incisus and both your black armoured friends and incisus needs to heal less damage to ace the mission, the warrior should die easily, too.

I'm assuming if I just started this game about a week ago, there's no hope of me finishing enough of this event to unlock Lucien? I'd love to get him, but I dont have anywhere near enough power to go past the rare stages lol.

I have beaten encounter 1 in like 2 turns over and over but I can only 500 points. Is there anywhere that explains how you accumulate more points per round? How did you immediately get 600 points?

This quest feels a lot more "grindy" and less elegant than usual, by which I mean there is a lot of "kill-get hurt-healback to full health" going on, rather than "position carefully and use the right heroes to kill everyone without getting hurt"

Another hero quest marred by the Common stages being RNG dependent. C3 doesn't work at all if you don't get enough fleeing enemies.

I played Black Templars all the way. Godswyl with a hit or damage buff (and the extra hit from Thoread nearby) is brutal. I never lost to Orks, but I had a lot of trouble against World Eaters. Putting Angrax with them was a bit much since it gave them 2 terminators. The termie buff added a lot to their survivability.

I honestly loved this iteration of the Tournament Arena. It was already my favourite game mode, but this made it even better. I did try pretty mucn every faction in casual mode and it was a lot of fun to play with the different teams. But for the competitive I exclusively used the Necrons at Uncommon. And honestly, they didn't seem as bad as some content creators seem to suggest. I hadn't played with the Necron leader character before (I unlocked him just before the start of this tournament) and the Necron Warriors seem especially good. A big part of playing with them is determining when to summon the Necron Warriors. Too early and you get too few and the enemy can kill them easily, too late and they don't get more than one round before the last character get taken down.
