And the truck is likely over gross weight capacity after adding extra air to the tires to accommodate the top buggy! 🤔 Hmm. Am I willing to accept the risks?

Maybe threading the straps through a long trash bag (horizontally) would wick the water into it 🤷‍♀️ I ordered a set to help haul lightweight camping gear on our Corolla rooftop after ordering two sets of roof racks that supposedly fit but almost scratched my paint both times even with the cloths. Looking forward to the handirack coming in. Thanks for the caveat about the water.
