Three of Clubs by Juan Tamariz
After years of waiting, Juan Tamariz, one of the greatest minds in magic, is finally prepared to share more treasures from his inner secrets. Although best known for his stack, Mnemonica, Three of Clubs offers new insight into a principle that first appeared on the world’s stage more than one-hundred years ago. What begins as a benign card trick climaxes with a change that will fool the seasoned veteran.
Today, we are pleased to offer a rare session with El Maestro. If you wish to change your magic for the better, then look no further - Three of Clubs is the addition you need.

Tweezers by Juan Tamariz
มุมมอง 52K8 ปีที่แล้ว
Tweezers, a dual phased two-card-monte routine from Juan Tamariz, is undoubtedly one of the best monte routines you can perform. The routine is designed for absolute fairness - the magician removes two black tens to act as “tweezers,” while a spectator freely selects an Ace and court-card of contrasting color. What happens next is a slow-paced swindle that belongs in every performer’s repertoir...
Bad Luck by Juan Tamariz
มุมมอง 43K8 ปีที่แล้ว
Juan Tamariz brings us another phenomenal effect. The spectator chooses four cards from a shuffled deck - red are good luck and black are bad. Card after card is turned over and revealed to be black, to the shared chagrin of the magician and the spectator. As the trick culminates, the magician visually changes all the black cards to red, bringing good luck to everyone. Bad Luck is an excellent ...

Simply my favourite magician in the world. Leaving aside his unbelievable technical abilities, what an amazing character! So thankful that Tamariz never managed to learn a better English, his way of expressing himself is just so cool!

Big fan of card magic & Tamariz, but this was.. well. Let's just not talk about how poorly this one was executed. I don't believe any one of them didn't notice he was consistently throwing a different card. Maybe the first or second time you'd miss it, but latest at the 3rd time everyone can see it. Interesting idea but .. yeah.

    1. The Maestro forces the 3S 2. One of the 3S has holes in the shape of spades. The Maestro takes the advantage of the "Black" Magic Pad's background to place the card with the holes to show the transformation 3. He then quickly replaces it with the proper 3S card and then hands it over to prove it's not gimmicked. I've read Maestro's books and Dani DaOrtiz and Lennart Green's collections. I'm sorry to say that while I admire The Maestro, his evident action of trying to prove the card isn't gimmicked disappointed me a bit.

At 0.25 speed you will see the 3♣️ turn into the 3♠️ even slower. If that’s not a gaff card (and knowing Juan it’s most definitely not), I’m fooled by the maestro as usual

Yes, I'm sure he could do better when he was younger. That part is too obvious even for an outsider non-magician to see. Also is the part where he secretly bent the corner of the 10 and didn't restore the A to the full.

It is a card with 3 of spades cut into it. It is above a 3 of clubs and the 3 of clubs comes through the cut out. When it is taken out, it is slid onto a dark mat which makes it seem like a 3 of spades but it is actually a white card with a 3 of spades template cut out.

Mnemonica alone gives you enough material to perform effects that will fool everyone you perform for, including magicians. He’s a genius! I couldn’t recommend those books more, or think of anything better for a performing/working magician apart from adding Dani Daortiz’s work to it…his books, annual course, and instant downloads are designed to fool magicians.
