mostly an experiment wit Syntakt FX block
it doesn't have a compressor with sidechain, but you can add triggers on the FX track that apply negative amplitude to whatever is routed.
So if it's a simple drum pattern, copying the triggers and routing everything but kick kind of works.
I only wish there were a way to just link the kick triggers so that it could be more dynamic 🤷♂️
Maybe a bit much on this one, but I have a better understanding of the feature now.

random techno 335 EDIT (143bpm) Syntakt [more video feedback]

more video feedback experiments trying to capture spiral offset edited down and composited/mixed as I found it difficult to control wobbly camera zoom and improvise on syntakt 😅 will definitely have to try this again

I had intended to focus on some karplus type patches with SP2 and Thyme with Syntakt helping on Thyme automation via MIDI but i got carried away with the acid bubbles on SP2 and mini loops on Thyme This is edited from a longer session 😅 I struggled with switching context between looping and karplus setup on thyme I think I have a method that would work better now with a separate syntakt channel...

Using Syntakt sequencer for Thyme preset selection is a bit easier than using the Thyme sequencer. trying MIDI control options on Subharmonicon with Tracker one track with a note sequence and another sending CC for VCO 1 frequency I could see this being pretty powerful if i spent more time with it only downside is that you can only map 6 CC's per MIDI channel but overall it's a fun new way to control Subharmonicon Tracker also has a sliced break and some basic kick/snare oneshots

Thanks Krachi! I enjoyed the deep bass part and it wasn’t planned, but I had to pull it back in from the full version to include here
knocking kick and crackling sounds, yehh 👌
Thanks Krachi! The kick distortion picked up some extra noise and I kinda liked how it came out😅
Sick banging jam! 🕺💃✨🤘🔥💯✨
Thanks Travis!
Krispy sounds, awesome banger, man🖤😎🤘🚀
Thanks Duburbian! The krispyness was an unexpected effect with kick, filter and overdrive, but I liked how it came out
When you try your hand at this musical genre, you are the best...no one can stand up to you. Here there is purity of sound and technical experience. Best regards! 🔝💫🥇👏👏👏
Thank You Claudio! I appreciate this 😅 and had fun setting it up

awesome bro!
Thanks!
video looks cool. music is great too :)
Glad you think so!
What a banger Glenn!😮 So crispy..!
Thanks Hell! 🍪🍪
awesome extended technos 😆👍
Thanks Haze!
Fantastic initial gurgle...Nice pulsations and sounds in this jam. Great work! 🔝🔝🔝
i had need to google the word "gurgle" 😅 greetings
@krachbude I don't know how to speak English well; so I write first in Italian and then translate with Google into English, so that sometimes the translation does not exactly convey the meaning of my thoughts 😅
Thanks Claudio!
@@Klaudio64and @krachbude Gurgle is a perfect description of lots of the sounds I get out of SP2 😂 It’s even more extreme and “digestive” sounding in the opening where I’m playing it at 50% speed downsampled 😅
@@krachbude🤣
The Kastl 1.5 has become part of my "signature sound" over the years (I have been using it since 2020) as an experimental musician (I use it sometimes along with melody, voice, guitar, piano, beats, etc.). This thing looks and sounds really amazing as well. And my understanding is that it can be connected to the 1.5 and/or other devices -- even a guitar, etc. -- to create effects, correct? I was connecting the Kastl 1.5 to a guitar effector pedal, but the pedal itself apparently went haywire, possibly since it was not meant to handle the analog synth, but was/is primarily only for guitar (I used it for that as well, at least initially). Thanks for the cool demo. Will be checking this item out, for sure.
Thanks Marc! You can hook this up with the other Kastle boxes or Volca Modular and use all the mini patches directly The I/O ports can also be used to convert to 3.5mm TS for use with most modular stuff as well. I’ve used audio output from Kastles with guitar pedals, but you need to attenuate or boost the output as it is fixed coming out of the original kastles The Kastle 2 FX has the ability to adjust both input and output levels when hold shift Hope this helps
@@glennclyatt5455Much appreciated, Glen. Will do.
What a banger Glenn!!! And damn stunning visuals!!! 👍💥💥💥👍
So good dude! Love the video feedback too.

Amazing to see how you play the machines , sounds so good Glenn!
Thanks Straight! It means a lot coming from someone who has such mastery of 303 type devices
Love it when you go dub! Bass is the place!
Thanks Apex! I'm easily distracted by delays😅😅
This is lush. There's a moment in the first third where the beat ratchets are just a bit out of time with the synth and it's just a brilliant thing that shouldn't work but really gives the piece character and draws you (ok, me!) in. Superb! Really enjoyed your Jamuary!
Thanks Apex! I’m glad you’ve been able to stop by and comment on stuff. I appreciate your insight on these I’m glad to have been able to hear so many session from everyone and I’m planning to get caught up over next few days I also see you’ve identified and described the beauty of Thyme loops being “kind of” in sync, but not exactly. It’s a feature I love playing with I need to put a little more effort into setting up Thyme patches that either don’t have positive volume feedback or are at least a bit slower to build. It can get difficult to wrangle them as they evolve and I have to adjust volume as they go on sometimes I guess a compressor and/or limiter could help here 🤷 Of which I’m now reminded that I have a stereo one in NTS-3…
@glennclyatt5455 I think you should tell me that Thyme is terrible, that I don't want it. But you're saying the opposite! Seriously wicked jams, Glenn. Super glad I subscribed!
@ 🤣
Was this your first Jamuary? Congrats on completing the challenge! 👏😄I greatly enjoyed your Jamuaries and I hope you have a happy and productive 2025!!
This is the first time I’ve used the tag and made something everyday Was definitely a challenge I appreciate you stopping by and I loved hearing your subharmonicon jams They were very educational and inspiring I wish a happy and productive 2025 as well Haze!

Awesome technos and amazing journey!! 😆👍
Thanks Haze! Took me longer as I got lost playing around with DFAM on this one too 😅
Damn! This one instantly teleported me into a desert rave!😮😂 Syntakt lfos are just stunning.. What a great device! Thanks for sharing!🎉
Thanks Hell! 🏜️🏜️ Those were definitely a thing here in the 90s and I still love getting out to the desert when I have time
SO SOLID Glenn!😮 Loved how at about 10:10 drums leave some space to leads creating a dreamy atmosphere.. Album material here!👍🖤👍
Thanks Hell! It can sometimes be challenging to balance stuff I had meant to tone down the drums sooner, but I forgot🤣 I like to be able to hear the other stuff as well
COOKIN!! 🔥😆🔥

Wicked sounds man! Awesome saturation
Thanks a ton!
The perfect couple?!😮 Just saw Bastl FX Wizard is back in stock right today..200€ are a lot of money but it surely worths it..let's see..😂 Btw I have a surprise for you on my channel Glenn!
These 2 are great together I really appreciate the mention on your channel 🖤 I love being able to globally connect with other folks doing this kind of stuff
this gets pretty wild 😆👍
very cool vibe!
Thank You!
Tracker and Subharmonicon seem a great couple with different possibilities to be fed each other I suppose.. Loved how drums gives some space to dreamy vibes at about round 10:00 a lot! Listened while driving and it was great! Thanks for sharing Glenn!
Thanks Hell! I was pleasantly surprised by how this one came out
Let's embrace the chaos!!!👹

Absolutely amazing what you reached with "just" some field recordings Glenn.. So inspirational.. Thanks a lot for sharing!
Thanks Hell! I’m sometimes surprised by these sessions with ambients sounds or field recordings and effects It feels more “random” and I always hear new things after I’m done recording that I had no intention of doing
6 CC per channel is a serious limitation but you don't have to map the LSB portions, in fact they do nothing for VCO1 and VCO2 unless quantization is turned off. I want to experiment more with the XOR mode of the sequencer as MIDI CC seems to be the only way to change that behavior. And I will bet good money that the Behringer SPICE MIDI implementation is ZILCH as they offer it for NONE of their synths that I own. Anyway cool jam and good on ya for experimenting with this! 😆👍
Thanks Haze! I started looking at the logic ops you mention and didn’t quite feel like I had the patience 😅 I will have to make some time to dig into it
I like the way this develops - you've managed to calm quite harsh sounds to give an overall impression of tranquility, somehow 🧩
😅Thanks!
FM is no static at all? We all static here! Cool mic effects
Thanks Haze!
Just ordered my Kastle 2 - this is going to one of the first things I try...excellent...!
Hope you enjoy it!
