My December rack is all sparkly af. I went for the obvious festive and wintery colors: Red, green, white, blue, silver and gold.

I love having great reds on hand for December. I picked up so many from Cracked this year. A dark green with lots of crushed holo or flakes is important for the holiday season. Lots of gold flakes over an ivory or white cream/crelly formula is deliciously festive.

Awesome choices, I had the WFL Hard Candy Christmas on my rack and the cut it out… May change my mind since the one I added isn’t so Christmas-y and right now I’m feeling the WFL more.. 🤔 I also have a Cirque white glitter topper that I didn’t even think to add to my rack!! 🤦🏽‍♀️ that is so perfect! So it’s a late addition for me now. Also, I can’t remember if the WFL frog and toad is a stainer but I remember really enjoying it… 😂 I’m no help there.

Shimmerine..yes! Great pick! I love OPI Ready, fete, go… it’s gorgeous! I have the CG too but I like the OPI better. 😊. You reminded me that I forgot to pull my FG green flakie! Need to grab it. Similar to your WFL.

Great choices! I picked up Pale Landscape on your recommendation. Hoping that it arrives in time for holiday wear. I think it would be beautiful over a dark blue. If not then I’ll definitely get use out of it for Valentine’s manis. More Spring/Easter related but I also picked up Glam Spring Bling. It will be a great topper for pastels in that season.

Nice choices. I have Ruby Pumps and KbShimmer and haven’t worn them yet. I don’t know what to put the KbShimmer over. I thought I would have a green by now but never think to get one. Definitely interested in the DRK Nails polish. I'm also considering Emily de Molly's offering too. There are others that I like but I told myself I'm only getting two this time around.

I only buy top/base coats from brands who offer Refills. The only exception to this is if they are on sale.

I love the Cuticula topcoat for stamping. It does not smudge the design. I am like you not a fan of Seche Vite. I too had horrible shrinkage. When you get to the half way point it gets super think. I also like the anchor and heart topcoat and it comes in unscentr

I have been using Cuticula (I don’t like the scents though 😢) Glisten & Glow, and Mooncat QDTC. I want to try the Victorian Varnish top coat. I use CND as a base coat but I cannot wear it with white polish because it has a slight blue tint😢 I also use Orly Bonder. I no longer use Seche Vite because of the shrinkage!

A smoothing base coat or a blurring base coat helps. I also started layering a peeling base coat over either base coats if I think there is going to be staining. I don’t wear polish very long and I do have ridges in my nails. I like glitter and shimmer and I really like sheer nail polish. I’d rather put the work in on the base layers. I am not especially prone to staining. With flakes and large glitters, I get much less staining with a peeling base coat. The more I soak to remove, the more the pigment seems to penetrate. I have used a weak peroxide soak sometimes to brighten my nails.

There’s a few I would like to add but I’m not going to. I’m only buy a few BF polishes. I’m gearing down to start a low/no buy in January. That Alchemy is stunning but maybe I’ll find a similar one later.❤

This is my first time not buying PPU in over a year. BKL is dropping and I’ve already bought from KBShimmer and a few others so my fun money is getting a bit low.

I am wishy on DRK “Happy 2025”. Something about this is calling me but I am not 100% Paint it Polish “Pining for You” WOW! I love green (I am wearing and LOVE “Live, Laugh Lava!”). I was not going to shop because my BF list os getting unwieldy but you have shown such pretty polishes😅

I love the Alchemy, too. I also have Garden Path and Penelope Luz. Need to keep my list small because Black Friday sales have taken me down a slippery slope 😂

I have a longer list but I really like a lot the polishes on offer. It’s BF season and I really have a lot of polishes I am eyeing on the brand sites.

Fyi, I have heard Zoya Astrid is a dupe for the beloved OPI Golden Eye that's discontinued.

Orly Shine on Crazy Diamond I picked up in TJ maxx and it is so beautiful and great formula. I like less sparse glitters because of their versatility (I can sponge it on if I want more opacity). I went and purchased more glitters from orly after discovering it but now I need just an illusion! I LOVE TOPPERS!! Thanks for sharing your favorites and the eye candy! That green and gold is so elegant!

Some of my favorite holiday toppers: Holo Taco red flake, gold flake and silver flake, and Everything Taco. LA Colors sugar snowflake ( a shimmer topper), LA colors star struck (silver star shaped glitters for glitter placement), ILNP Confetti, Essie Expressie 24K filter FX (gold fine particle shimmer), Orly Spirit of peace (gold and white glitters of dif sizes), Sally Hansen Xtreme wear Disco Ball (iridescent flakes)

Try Deck the Halls over a lighter green like Orly Vintage. That lets the green glitters show up (as well as the red and gold) and it totally gives 1950s vintage christmas vibe. I have Fancy Gloss Christmas Party which also has red and green glitters and I love it over Orly Vintage.

I am thinking of getting polishes from: Cracked, Victorian Varnish, Mooncat (but-some of her polishes are a bit thick (my Moonjelly and Ghost of Hecate are). I LOVE my House of Hades, Curse of Calypso, Sand Viper. Polished for Days, Halo Taco, Monarch Lacquer. Oooh boy😅😅

I saw the tropical set from VV and may pick up the bright creams, they look beautiful ❤️ and I'm a sucker for her creams 😂

I do not care for Mooncat’s formula. I’m almost always disappointed with either their formula or the color in reality. Cracked regularly has great sales. Monique’s birthday is 2/19 and she has had a really great sale then. I’m working on getting my polish shopping down. 😬

I shopped Holo Taco, and was going to shop Kb Shimmer and Mooncat, but now having second thoughts and thinking of waiting on Mooncats next sale and skipping kb shimmer and shopping Rogue instead. I was eyeing some of Cuticula new collection, but IDK yet. I really undecided this year. I want to get a new phone for my birthday next month and trying to be more mindful of what I'm spending. My collection is getting way too big nearing 1400 , I'm out of space and I'm getting to that point where all new releases are too similar to something that I have that I should just go on a no buy and start duping from my own collection.

I'm so excited for BF (I told myself from now on I will buy 90% of my polishes during BF. 1) As a way to say money and 2) As a way to curve my growing collection). Anyway, I've been saving up since June, and I'm so excited! I plan to shop kbshimmer and to try Beaux Reves for the 1st time!

Frankly I think you wouldn't be thrilled with mooncat given how much indie polish you have. It's usually a nice beginner friendly formula, except the ones that are really hard to use haha. The brush is nice, but some indie brands have brushes just as good or better. Overall the really good indies have better and more reliable formulas and more interesting polish for a better price. I think of mooncat as being much more broadly appealing because they're growing the company so much they have to appeal to a ton of customers and have a strong profit margin. So some of the more unique finishes we see in indies aren't there. I'd say only get mooncat if there's a specific shade, or a couple, that are really calling to you. If you aren't feeling strongly about it then just skip.

Very happy BCB lacquers started their Black Friday sale so early! Already made two orders from her. When all the shops open at once it can get overwhelming. I prefer the sales spread out throughout the month

I only own four polishes from Mooncat but the one I absolutely love is Stumped so I would recommend that one if you decide to shop 😊

Thanks for this! I didn't realize the EDM sale was starting so soon. I'm kinda over Mooncat at the moment. I can't justify the price anymore when so many excellent indies are available for about 20% less on average.
