Schtirggar Green Line #6058 - Bike republic Sölden

We waited 3 days to paddle this section sleeping at the put in. First it was slightly too low, then after rainfall it was to high. Put in on the river left, there is a path just after the bridge. Watch out for wood and have fun. Nice class IV.

One of Jura's classics. Nice run and beautiful scenery. Beware of wood and fluctuating water level due to releases from power plant. Possible wild camping at the take out. There is also nice via Ferrata 200 m from take out.

Very quick section, can be paddled multiple times during the day. After 3rd rapid you can take out from the river on the left and walk up with your kayak. At higher flows it is dangerous to jump the dam, the recirculation is strong. Make sure you set up safety.

Once you have a sun it is really beautiful river. Everything can be scouted from the river bank. We finished at the middle of the section, just before start of class II. We walked 1,5 km uphill (150 m vertically). Once you have a shuttle it is reasonable to paddle remaining section. Again - watch out for the wood. Multiple people drowned within last decade.

We managed to paddle this Jura's gem. We were lucky because due to the renovation of hydro powerplant we had very decent water level. It is not common here. Sometimes it happens that even though you have water level once you scout this section, you come back once you shuttle car and water is gone cause power plant has taken everything. The water was rising quickly and we decided that it's too dangerous to start from canyon (Pochtenkessel). The run wasn't clean, even though we had decent level, frequently it was very shallow. I would not recommend this river.
