    No. Most Ai tools violate artists copyright. They do not respect our work and are not conducive to better results. You can't really integrate it into your work without violating copyright since the work is already stolen. Painting over it is not a fix. Also it doesnt really work with references to use, since it warps perspective in wrong ways, and standardizes poses and anatomy. Wich is vital to be a good reference. Also why do you think companies would hire animation experts to have them do ai? The result is pretty shit regardless. It is downsizing teams and using stolen art for profit. This should not integrate into our creative process, art isn't easy. I implore you to Stand with the rest of the community and protect our rights as artists.

      These are good points. What about using your own art to train the model for the backgrounds or parts of the process that usually take longer? Would you still consider it a violation? Yes, models take a lot of artworks and time to train on your own art, but it is possible at least if you are looking for similar results. Id like to hear ppls thoughts on that

    • @elpinchetti
      @elpinchetti หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kozinoart Yes that is a perfectly fair use of AI, the thing is that the results aren´t great. It's not the tecnology I'm against, but the lack of regulation. No artists were even asked. It's more a thing of respect.

      @kozinoart หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@elpinchetti This I totally agree with! Artists whose work has been used in those big models should be at the very least compinsated by those companies! Nowadays there are ways to train your own closed AI models that Ive been experimenting with for my comic, but because its trained on my art it is very limited to specific characters and scenes, which works for comic repetitive scenes, but nothing else really

    As the name sates AI is Artificial, so it should be called Artificial Art at best, and it's not intelligent Art, so what's left? It's the leeching off other artists work that i don't like. I know humans do this too, humans love to copy, so it will probably have to be the humans that are taught how to ethically and morally use AI now and in the future.

    As someone with professional experience in machine learning, there's something I know about the field that most people don't. Any machine learning project converges on the consensus of its training data. When you are giving it large amounts of scientific and statistical data, this means it tends to converge on the right answer, even if none of the individual researchers know that answer. When you are giving it large amounts of creative work and artistic expression, it tends to converge on mediocrity. The machine cannot effectively work in various "soft" science fields - economics, psychology, law - and the idea that it can produce ART is just ridiculous. AI bros (and machine learning IS NOT AI, that is just marketing bullshit) will protest that this is the worst the machine will ever be, but the machine only gets better at being average. That's what the machine DOES. It's never going to be creative and it's never going to be brilliant and it's not even going to be SMART.

    I'd say if you doing NSFW commissions make sure that you are still working on portfolio, otherwise you may just end up with a bunch of art you can't put it in it. Great vid thanks! In terms of specific artist, I think Trent Kaniuga gives great advice in general. Aaron Blaise is very talented, especially if you are into fine art. Udemy has sales like once a month and classes are like $13.00

    Hey, nice video! I want ask a question that intrigues me. Don't having a degree its really that bad in the concept artist career, or in general entertainment art industry? Like if I am an really good artist that have an amazing portfolio, I will struggle in finding a job in this area? Or the chances are pratically equal than someone who has a degree?

    • @kozinoart
      @kozinoart ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! Thank you for asking! Having a degree helps when applying to a big studio and it is helpful with connections, BUT at the end of the day, your skills and portfolio are the most important thing when getting a job as an artist. If your portfolio is strong nobody will care about the degree, because they can see that you have built the knowledge and needed foundation to get the job done well. I personally think that the biggest advantage of going to art school is building connections, nowadays everything else you can easily learn online. When I went to art school most of the time in order to get homework done we had to go to YT and watch many tutorials anyway, so honestly you can definitely build your skillset on your own. I actually have a video talking about alternatives to art school. To improve your portfolio definitely reach out to artists like Rea suggested and see if you can get some feedback to improve. And most importantly - never give up! It might take some time, but as long as you keep pushing - you will get here! Good luck!

    I too was about to be scammed by this same method via Instagram. Some 2-3 weeks ago a woman contacted me and asked me if I did commissions and asked me the rates. She then told me to draw 3 pictures (one of herself, her son and their dog which was also their profile picture). Even though I told her that I donot do pet portraits, she insisted on me "trying". We came to a price of 120$ for the 3 pieces done traditionally. She even had mentioned the size she wanted. I then asked her to pay me via zelle, half the amount for each piece once I do their block-in and share with her. To which she said she had her Zelle account blocked and could pay me through cheque. I agreed at that time and gave my name and the bank's name for the cheque to be written. But she later told me that due to some restrictions in her banking she could only send me a 1000$ cheque and would need me to send the rest back to her. That was the first time that I found something was fishy but still went ahead with it. Also like you mentioned, she was constantly asking me where I was from, whether I had received the email and would be online constantly on Instagram which I found suspicious. The final nail in the coffin was when she told me that she will send me an email with exact steps to how to deposit the cheque to get the money. That is when I was highly suspicious of her and after discussing with my friends and family decided not to open the email at all and to block her. But it would have been my first ever commision so I was also a little optimistic about it, trying to make myself believe that I was overthinking and maybe she was a legit customer. But in the end, I sent her a text saying I was sorry that the comission couldn't work out and that I didn't even open the cheque so even if she was genuine, she wouldn't need to worry about me scamming her out of her money 😅 . I was feeling very bad about losing the first commision like that even to this day till I saw this video and realised that I probably did the right thing.

    This was a great discussion for a lot of artists looking to break into doing concept and produciton art as a career! I have to agree with the social media aspect, it's really strange that big companies care that much about your SM presence, especially since I've never heard of companies caring about it at all. I worry about where this could lead to.
