Ahh..im not that old, in my mid fifties, but is anyone telling me we are happier now knowing everything than I was when I was as a kid who lived in blissful ignorance of the world around me beyond the half hour newscast, the newspapers and the local gossips. The nostalgia of a forgotten better time drips from this roast. There is no swearing, there's no worrying about offending people and there's no thinking that everything you think or say can be held against you. I don't love living the times I do, I believe I was meant for an earlier simpler time. But that didnt happen. At least I saw some of it…more than I can say for the poor souls born today who will never know the simplicity of watching something funny which didn't have an air of indoctrination and going to sleep knowing that everything was ok. Was I deluding myself, of course I was, but as with all things we are a product of our thoughts and if those thoughts are wrought by so much suffering then of course our lives are such. I think Angie Dickinson got over the misogynistic joke 🙄

Holy cow, Orson Welles had so much class, I never realized that. Another entertaining masterpiece from A-Z.

I can't even imagine how sore everyone's cheek and face muscles must've been so sore afterwards! Those were the days my friend... we thought they'd never end... but they did. Can you even imagine a cast like this mix all together now roasting each other and having fun? I can't. Sad fact but at least we can still watch this and feel good and laugh till our sides hurt.

Never saw this before - And it was hilarious. Some great comedy was expected - but was surprised by how funny John Wayne, Goldwater, and Ali were.

I was 24 when this event took place. ...like a different era, in a good way.

Sammy died 4 short yrs after this ….so sad, so young…loved Sammy and Dean together

I saw Don Rickles in Las Vegas once and the speech he gave at the end had everyone crying with his beautiful love for all!!! I will never forget his heartfelt speech!!! A dear wonderful ,kind,loving man!!!
