I make videos in Finnish and add subtitles in Finnish to every video (except shorts). Video topics cover a wide range of things, but they're always somehow related to Finland or Finnish culture/language. I paint a picture to illustrate each video, mainly because I love painting!

Hi all! In this *Anniina selittää* video, I explain the Finnish words 'ottaa' and 'viedä'. They can both be translated as "to take", but they have some differences. I hope a few examples will clarify the issue once and for all!
Subtitles are available in Finnish, and TH-cam also offers auto-translation into other languages. Just turn on subtitles and then go to your settings and choose your preferred language. The English translation is pretty accurate, I always check it :)

Hyvä video. Ihan niinkuin sanot, suomen puhekieli on hyvin erilaista kuin kirjakieli. Suomen vokaalien ääntäminenkin on aiiika erilaista kuin englannissa vaikka, samantapaista kuin japanissa. Jatka samaan malliin! Good video. You're spot on with the basics here about finnish language. If you wanna speak finnish to finnish people, learning the spoken language and not the "textbook language" is a good idea.

Hi all! This episode, like the others, has Finnish subtitles that can be auto-translated into English - just make sure the subtitles are on and then change the language in the settings! By the way: *mökkeily* = spending time at the summer cottage *heittää löylyä* = to throw water on the sauna stove (nothing to do with throwing tantrums!)
