Ferro Rod & Stoves; Why you need to ditch the macthes and lighters.
มุมมอง 1524 ปีที่แล้ว
STOVES, FERRO RODS & RAINY DAYS Most people fall into two camps, bush craft and ferro rods or high tech and camp stove. We don’t think the two are mutually exclusive. You should always carry a ferro rod, like the DU Fire Steel, with you in the bush, whether you plan on building a campfire or using a stove. Matches and lighters will let you down in wet and windy weather. Ferro rods were made for...

Dragoon Pie - Ziplock Trail Meals
มุมมอง 734 ปีที่แล้ว
DRAGOON PIE ZIPLOCK MEAL How about a Cup of Dragoon Pie? It’s our “no refrigeration, no home prep” version of Shepard’s Pie and it always hits the spot, especially on a cool day or rainy evening! This is one of those that tastes better than it looks, but trust us when we say it is a stomach pleasing meal on a cold day (it’s pretty darn good on any day you need some comfort food!). @@baronedipiemonte3990 I got to try mine out last weekend and really love the design. I got a larger ground clothe and have it so it's wider on the side I enter tent from. Works great and helps keep me from tracking trash and dirt into the tent. I was highly pleased with the quality of the tent and the great service from the company.

been looking for a product like this since Nov 2021. I'm thinking they're excellent mods to the liner. I used the Poncho back in the late 70's in the US Army - can't go wrong. Currently have a USGI Poncho but no liner. IMHO, This 30 second intro could benefit from including someone wearing both the Poncho & Liner. (SP-5 US Army 1978-1982).

Great idea. We’re working on sourcing a quality poncho liner to go with it, but these are made to current specs, so will work with any issue liner. The “ruggedized” version we sell isn’t quite as silky smooth as the originals, but we added a water, wind and dirt resistant coating that really makes a difference in the field. Thanks for checking us out and we hope you put some Dragoon Gear in your kit soon!

It's way easier if get a candle or coffee warmer and melt the Vaseline and just dip your firestarting materials in it then dip them in some melted wax to make them waterproof

@@dragoonunlimited5819 it's more simple and it leaves less of a mess to clean up I use a couple of old tuna cans or something similar to put the wax and vaseline in so I can melt them easier I also put wax paper down so I can turn out 30 or so firestarters easy you'll just have to refill the vaseline more than wax and after I'm done just put the lid back on the cans and put firestarters up and throw away or add that wax paper to your next batch of firestarters you make all you really need to do is unplug the wax warmer or coffee warmer that's pretty much it
