1969 Rupp TT500 Minibike
มุมมอง 9582 ปีที่แล้ว
With its HS50 Tecumseh Lighted Coil motor the Rupp TT500 was considered a performance minibike back in the late 60s. The 2 speed jackshaft was known to "buck" off the ill prepared rider at the shift. The team at Vintage Karting Bros is proud to assist collectors in locating, restoring and modifying vintage minibikes and karts. The quality of our offerings are second to none. With an extensive p...

The GEM mount.I raced 820 for years and then went to shifter
I used to race Mac 91s. I never had a 101. I wush i had a pallet full of them now
I remember the cart days in the Central Valley of Cali all up and down the valley was a cart track
I remember the cart days in the Central Valley of Cali all up and down the valley was a cart track
U need to adjust the carburetor 😅air fuel mix screw running terrible like the choke is on😅😮also h50 Tecumseh no the hs50they didn't make them till 1971-2
I had a Bug Stinger with twin Mac 20's.
I have two carts just like it. Not as well made. Made by Manco. I have had them for ?? 30 years with the SAME original motor. They fire right up. I upgraded wheel bearings and several other items. I built an addition for the man who does Jay Leno's motorcycles and he did some extra brace welding for me. I am almost 70 and my 5 children and I grew up driving them at El Mirage dry lake bed about 20 miles from our house. It has been several years since using them. I would ONLY sell them IF I knew the person was going to cherish them as much as my family have.
I got an R1 in Longmont CO. the other day. Had a MC6 with it. Kart in pieces but real nice. Am getting another engine so will be a twin.
What a hanger queen? Expected to see it move.
West bends were awesome gocart engines back in the day❤
Never had a kart, but had a Flexo minibike with a Mac 49 and a West Bend 580.
With me and my friends it was dirt bikes in the mid 80s. Honda CR and XR. Yamahas and Husqvarna also chainsaw manufacturers
I'm 70 and wanted a Rupp Roadster or Black widow Mini Bike as a kid.
I raced an R1/MC6 in a few vintage races around 2001-2005. It’s the kart I wanted in 1961 - took 40 years but I finally owned and raced one. 👍
Cool!
Sounds like they are running rich.nice kart
Would be nice to hear him wind it up.
I had a kart around 1967 in El Monte California. It had a new McCullough 101, 9 port engine. Ran it on a track off 605 frwy across from the Irwindale speedway. Fast and fun.
Check out the dual MC 20s on the victory girl.🤩
This is EXACTLY the kart I lusted hard for when I was a tween. It’s hard to overstate how *right) this beautiful combo was/is. I’m 76 years old and it still appeals to me like few modes of motor-fun do. I love Don Knotts as customer.
My dad still has his from when he was 16.. 😂 Goes like the clappers. With 1 engine. Way too scared to smash on the second one. 😂😂
@@fatasdat Drove a single engine one in 70's fast as hell !
Don Knotts approved!
I just got me a vintage Go Kart with a two-stroke motor KT 100
Sounds good!
does anyone ever drive one of these?
Nothing like the sound of an open header on a 2 smoke!
Lets see it on the road!
That cart is amazing!!! Great video!!! How do they go so fast? I have a Simplex with a modern 6.5 hp engine and I know it doesn't go as fast as those little engines. Can you still find engines like that? Mine was built for two engines. And that sound!!!❤ Thanks for sharing!!!
Wicked 2 Strokes. The later models that my dad had were called floating 90s, they would do 0 to 90 in less than 5 Seconds.
Wow, That was a Great kart
Wow. I used to race a hell cat with a McCullough 91b👍👍
⚠️THIS IS NOT YOURS THIS IS MY DADS AND YOU GOT IT FROM BRING A TRAILER ⚠️
WOW, the memoroies this brings to minde CarCraft and Rod and Custom mags with pictures showing some of the first action The picture of skid marks accross the road where a cart left the road Thats more than 60 years WOW
What happened to that kart ? Mark in Phoenix
Is the chain supposed to be like that????
Like what?
Very nice cart!
I wish you had taken us for a ride...
Imagine a yasuni r expansion chamber exhaust on those motors 😮
I have a 62 dart cart roller for sale
Outstanding!
Had a Fox Cart when I was a chiId and it had twin Mac20's on it. When UnIimited racing became big in the Southeast my dad would put me on that thing, 9-10 years oId and maybe 80 pounds, too short to reach both gas pedal and brahe pedal so he said to onIy worry about the gas pedal. Won many a race on that thing, along with a few bang ups.
Awsome bro i love it
2 shit motors dont equal 1 real kart engine like Parilla
I'm surprised Ole Barny didn't give himself a ticket! Lol
Don nots,in the video 😂,,mr romper😅
never saw a go cart....
Had a Rupp with a single 580 as a kid, dogged the heck out of it and it ran great til the day we sold it! Great little motor, use to add liquid ether to the fuel.
Awesome
My dad won the east coast karting championships and the presidential cup in ‘61 I think. I wasn’t born 😂 he ran Rupps with twin engine west bends or power products. They were direct drive no clutches and had individual axels. He races go karts from 59-63 I think. Jim Murphy was his name. He went in to be a national champ in SCCA and a Trans Am driver. All six kids races go kart 😂 and some grand kids too. Pretty soon some great grandchildren may 😂
Did engines have to be sycned?
What is top speed?
Oh' 2 engine's! One Kart Not soo nice.
