Family Field Trips
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 24 ต.ค. 2023
While traveling the world as dancers for the better part of a decade, we discovered exploring new places is where we thrive. We left the tour life behind in exchange for family life. Lots has changed over the years, but one thing that hasn't, is our love for travel. So we're at it again, determined to see all of our favorites places and discover some new ones. This time as a family.
It’s Not Always Easy
Travel days can be tough. It doesn't always go as planned. We ran into our fair share of hiccups on this one, but in the end it all adds to the adventure. Worth it.

London to Paris on Eurostar / Family Tour

Our favorite way to get from London to Paris and vice versa. Traveling by train feels like an adventure all in its own.
LONDON // 3 Day Family Tour
มุมมอง 3.9Kปีที่แล้ว
3 days to see as much of London as possible. This is our first overseas adventure with a kid, and we are ready to make it one for the books. We hit some of our of favorites The Eye, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Abbey Road and everything in-between.
Thank you for sharing😊
@@payalshah6013 thanks for watching ✌🏼❤️
I am going on it on July 29 for day Paris to London roundtrip I cannot wait
Great video! I will be taking this train in December. We are a family of 3, did you have to buy the 4th seat? Or just purchase 3 seats and hope nobody else books the 4th seat?
Thank you! We only purchased 3 and hoped that no one reserved the fourth seat. You have the option to switch seats anytime before departure if you need to adjust.
The Eurostar is the BEST way to take this trip. Like he said, city center to city center. Security is a breeze. They don’t have the liquid restrictions so if you want to buy some liquids in Paris, you can easily bring it back to London. Take the earliest trip in the day and travel on a weekday for the cheapest price. You’re perfectly fine in the standard carriage. I don’t think it’s worth it for the higher priced options because the trip is so quick. Just bring your own food. The concession car is overpriced.
Great additional info! I agree with standard for ticket being sufficient for the length of travel.
We are a family of three heading to London then Paris. Love the vids...where is your Paris vid!!!!!
So fun! You’re going to have a blast. Working on Paris vid NOW! Thanks for the motivation to get it finished 😊
Great
Thank you for this video!!
Thanks for watching! Lots more to come : )
Very amused that under the title Eurostar you show a Thamelink class 700 on Digswell Viaduct in Hertfordshire, so nothing to do with Eurostar at all. I can only assume there's a rights issue over filming the Eurostar trains? Looked very odd to me.
Sounds like you really know your trains. I on the other do not. Just added some drone stock footage for visual effect. Didn’t even realize it was a different train than it was labeled. I assure you that our personal footage and experience is about the Eurostar. I appreciate the feedback and will look out for those details should I revisit any rail travel in the future. Cheers
Very nice video, made in a unique way. It would be really great if you could mention the ticket prices as well 😊
Thank you! I appreciate the feedback. I actually had a section on the pricing but in edit felt it dragged a bit. I guess I should have left it in. I’ve seen pricing anywhere from $72-$250 in standard & $300-$600 in business one-way.
@@FamilyFieldTrips thanks and all the best.🙂
Prices are one of the Eurostar drawbacks. Yes Eurostar does have some low prices but you have to book many weeks ahead and travel off-peak to qualify. Eurostar holds a monopoly for 30 years and really needs a rival.
@@alexmcwhirter6611we ended up booking last minute and definitely paid a premium for it. It was hard to watch those prices rise while we were still figuring out exact dates of travel.
Officially addicted! Can’t wait to watch more.
Much appreciated!
There are certain spots in London where the animals have become used enough to humans to feed out of your hand -a certain railing and certain fenced garden in Kensington Gardens, and a spot by a statue of a dog in Battersea Park. Pigeons, squirrels, sparrows and the parakeets, the latter of which there are tens of thousands now in the city after escaping last century. In most of the ponds the Canada geese, mallards and swans will eat out of your hand too. It takes a lifetime to find these spots.
Great info! Thank you
Cuties!!! 💛💛💛
So nice guys!! Love it 😍
Thanks for watching!
The Serpentine on Christmas morning people go for a swim in it🥶
Oh wow! That’s one heck of a cold plunge. I wonder what the water temp is around that time?!

great vlog guys - enjoyed it very much - glad you enjoyed London
Thanks for watching!
One of the stories as to how the rose-ringed parakeet came to be in London is because they escaped from their owner Jimi Hendrix when he was living in London. It has been suggested that feral parrots could endanger populations of native British birds, and that the rose-ringed parakeet should be "limited", although this is not currently recommended by conservation organisations. Considered a major agricultural pest in locations such as India, as of 2011 the rose-ringed parakeet population was growing rapidly, but is generally limited to urban areas in southern England. In the United Kingdom and especially within London, parakeets face predation by native birds of prey and owls, including the peregrine falcon, Eurasian hobby and tawny owl. Wikipedia.
No way! Thanks for that bit of history. We had no idea they were there but just stumbled upon while walking thru Hyde Park. Turned out to be a really special moment for us🦜
Glad you had a good time in my home city. Looks like you got lucky with some great weather.
Yes, we did! We were a lil worried about the record high heat but it didn’t disrupt our trip at all. ⛲️
Great vidya, slick edit new subscrimbler here
Thanks for the sub!
Travelling on a budget, I see :)
😁 believe it or not, we actually made this trip happen on a reasonable budget. We heavily utilize CC bonuses and miles/points accrued thru the years.
@@FamilyFieldTrips OK. I believe you. I'll be down in the West End later - I'll pop into the Trafalgar hotel and see what the room rate is :)
