So I just shipped Christmas and the only way I do priority is if I really want that tracking number and I want it to be treated as priority basically if it’s got gift cards in it or if it’s got cash in it, you know the things that we know, we should be insuring for a little bit more Than I’ll do priority and I’ll pay for shipping. I want that tracking number and I wanna make sure it’s treated as such. Otherwise, I just look for that other box 📦

I don't have any apps on my phone. My kids think I'm crazy. But, where they gripe about all their spam calls, I just smile, & tell them I don't get any of those. And I know it's because I don't have apps. I don't participate in anything that is used to control, intrude, or keep tabs on me. In fact, I always tell my doctor that I won't answer all those Medicare questions that they want to ask you once a year as a wellness appointment. I'm just stubborn that way. I understand about not always having a smile on your face. Life does go on, but not only do we have "those days," I think I'm having one of those "seasons." I'm missing my Babe more than ever this holiday season. I didn't decorate my house, because none of my kids are coming here for the holidays, & I also didn't send out my usual Christmas cards. That was something he & I always did together. We use to send about 100. Our list is down to about 30 now, with all those we've lost in recent years. My energy level is so compromised with my health, that I figured I would save the energy it takes to decorate & then have to put it all away for the cooking I wanted to do. The kids & grandkids & I are getting together tomorrow at one of their homes. I've cooked for two days, only because it takes me so long now days. My "want to" tells me that I can do something, but my reality lets me know "not anymore." I may decorate for Christmas in July next year! That way I can enjoy it a lot longer, & feel like the required energy will be well-spent. One of those things I prepared is your "Nan's Apple Dumplings." The kids love those. Merry Christmas!

I stopped sending Christmas cards when my postage bill surpassed my card bill! Glad you got a new PO Box! Loved K Mart and was sorry that they closed, and McCrory's used to be in other towns where I grew up along with Woolworth's! No more 5&10 stores around.....now they are Dollar Stores! I miss having woods to traipse through. Mama & Daddy had 80 acres that we grew up playing in. Your scenery is beautiful. What a wonderful place to spend time with the Lord. Seeing that fire makes me wish I was there with some hotdogs & buns. Nothing better than a fire-charred hotdog! It's nice that your grandmother's place is still standing for you to drive by & reminisce. What a blessing to have those grandkids to enjoy. This year, I've bemoaned the fact that mine are all grown; & without little ones, Christmas is just not the same. Merry Christmas, Jan!

I love this recipe, but for my taste, I would use cream of mushroom soup, because I do not like cream of chicken soup! Seems very easy! Enjoy!( I know you did!!)😊❤🙏(👋Daniel!)
