Short vid I made for C Tac's CT21. They sent me the bag to check out and use. I have carried for work everyday since. Well made and priced great. Least I could do is make a short vid for it. I have 3 bags made by CTac, all are great. Form and function isn't for everyone, however it will get the job done. #edcbag #laptopbackpack #ctactical

Another Emergency Kit - Ready America
Welcome to the duopoly of Fedex and UPS. Neither will compete to be the better one, instead they both just set the low standard for each other. The only competition in the marketplace is against the consumer. That is the attitude of American business.
Bought this one and the two zip bigger one. Seems like quality! Already made up survival kits in them. Nice pouches! Thanks, bud!
What is a thank you for the review, what do you think is more comfortable and breathable between CT or Rush 12?
Personally, I would say the Rush 12. That's personal fit and all though.
I need to search out the kits I have made. Thank you for sharing this with us, Threads. Stay safe and stay cool
I have a 101 INC branded bottle bag cost me $28. The other bottle bag I have is the Pathfinder gen 3 cost $33. The cheaper bag has fabric on the inside and is a more durable bag. The Phatfinder bag smelled bad of chemicals. When you hold it up to a lamp, you see the light between the stitches in the seams, which are sparse. The bag is flimsy and of poor quality. You get what you pay for, but why is the cheaper bag of better quality? The Pathfinder Bag is Chinese crap.
I have noticed that a lot of the less known companies quality is far better. Condor and such are great examples. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these. Take Care
🍀🍀👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍👍 thx
Thank you for the review, Threads. Stay safe and stay warm
Ones 30oz the other is 32oz that coupled with the plastic makes it shorter and lighter. I’ve never actually held the ultralight though. So how much thinner/softer is the bottle? Is it strong? Is it sturdy?
Hole punch! 😂😂😂 brilliant! Love it! Great video!
Thanks for your video! A lot of people nest the old one into an Ozark Trail stainless steel cup. Does the new one fit into it?
It does down to the shoulder! I will do a video about that too. Thanks and take care!
I bought the original version about 5 years ago at wal-mart for $12 and have used it for camping and backpacking. When backpacking I throw a small fuel canister in the bottom of the pot, with the cup on top. Inside the cup i have matches and a small stove. Has work perfect for boiling water for freeze dried meals and having hot water for coffee, tea of coco while out on the trail. I will be getting the new version just to try it out.
I'mma have to grab one purely for slightly nicer nesting of things due to the size increase. I have a collapsible mug that's just a hair tight in the OG version.
Ahhh the good 'ol Chinese slap a keyboard name 😂. I'm still trying to bully Mike over at Dickinson Trading Post to do a production run of his pouches in canvas. That waist pouch you saw in MCB was basically our take on this style.
That looks like a solid pouch even if made in China, especially at 10 bucks. I’m still carrying the one you made for me!
I’m definitely looking into getting one.
I'm curious the opinions of anyone who might have these two bags. I just got my 2.0, and I love all the upgrades. But it seems to me the material used to organize the front pouch (pens etc.), is significantly cheaper feeling than that of the OG. That being said, I'll just try not to put a knife through it, but it just feels cheap. A small letdown on an otherwise exciting upgrade. Anyone else feel this way? It's very suble.
I will have to get out one of my OG's and compare. I think they may have made some changes to allow the hole punch pocket to sit where its not noticeable though.
Yea, it stayed at the same price point and added features. Maybe the material is slightly different 🤷🏻♂️
Question ... Is the Rush 2.0 bigger? It says 24L but the main compartment looks like only 21L based on the dimensions given on their website.
Maybe the front pouch accounts for that other space. I've had two Rush 12's now, but have been listed at 24L and felt right
They may have made adjustments to make up for the added hole punch sleeve and laptop area. I will have to did out my old OG and look now.
👍🇲🇾
Is it waterproof?
The fabric itself has some resistance, however no its not waterproof at all.
In 2013 a coworker was at LAX waiting for a flight when a when a terrorist shot his way into Terminal 3. I've carried a North American Rescue (NAR) IFAK, in some form, w/ extra CAT tourniquet ever since. Only once did airport security take a second look, and that was a layover in Heathrow. STOP THE BLEED!
How many bags total come in the box?
10 total pouches. 1 pouch is water additive drink mix.
That is a great kit for a small take everywhere type kit in an emergency or even if hiking if seperated from your bigger bag. Nice set up. A water container might be a nice addition but that looks good, it's something everyone should have in a vehicle.. Thanks for posting. Ps, I like that it isn't expensive gear and everyone can put something like this together.
Were you implying some people don't like the lifestraw? Please follow up on what you meant soon when you can. Thanks
There is some back and forth on how well/if at all they work. Definitely better than nothing but if they do in fact miss a lot of stuff than you can make yourself sick using them. More research to be done on that front.
@AtwoodThreads thankyou very much for the info. I have a couple, but normally carry the Sawyers because everybody in my area carrys them and they work well. I guess I'll have to look more into the lifestraws before putting too much trust in them. This is the first I've heared of them possibly not being reliable.
Well done. It is hard to make any first aid kit compact. Especially a trauma kit. The one thing I would add to that and all first aid are a couple pairs of nitrile gloves.
Thanks! There are gloves in there too with the mask.
How does one open it fast? Better have a knife and if it’s you , they better have a knife
It is hard to make a small kit. Only problem with vacuum seal is getting it open. Thank you for sharing this with us, Threads. Stay safe and stay warm
I cut small slits on the bag and mark them with red sharpie so it rips right open. Thanks Sean, take care
This seems a bit over engineered. A Nirex folder and permanent markers and off you go.
Totally over engineered. It's great though. Definitely for a specific group of people.
Great minds indeed! $65 is pretty solid, dang. The copilot rocks hers in a pouch as well for her purse, mostly identical to mine with slightly less extras. I'm still on the fence with them since I haven't seen enough data but the Snakestaff ETQ could probably be a good size for this.
I never thought to vacuum seal clothing items. That is a great idea and makes them compact.
Clean, dry and compact the trifecta in my mind. I vacuum seal a lot! That purchase was a game changer for me for sure. Thanks for watching and take care!
Just as I mastered what I wanted to carry, a little goblin blew it all out of the water 🤣 Now 90% of my kit is his. Amazing what a year can do.
True words brother
I don't know how long ago you made this kit, but nothing much has changed since then. Solid kit man.
Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
thanks bro
Thanks for watching!
That triangle bandage is pretty dope and a cool concept.
Awesome triangular bandage. Orange is so much better than the tan ones we get. Nice little kit. A few add-ins might be good, but you can overpack. Thank you for showing these kits to us, Threads. Stay safe and stay warm
I'd like to clarify 3:47 buckle "elastic cover" is not standard on their website. I'm curious as to why you have this. Haha. @chuyentactical
They must have changed that going into the V3's. Nice catch!
You have a gift for making well thought out kit designs and finding great products. We gave you a shoutout on a community post hoping you can help and inspire our community! Keep doing what you are doing!
Thanks! I appreciate you. I love your stuff as well!
Thanks for the help.
Good stuff.
I use the Nalgene clear outdoor one with blue top for electrolytes, hot water in sleeping bag on cold nights, and pee bottle at night to avoid getting out of the tent. Triple crown thru hiker as well as Arizona trail, Colorado trail and Tahoe rim trail. so multiple uses 108 grams is fine for what I use with it. ultralight vs lightweight is negotiable I don't notice the weight between a gatorade 1l vs my Nalgene when carrying 20 -30lb loads. load up your pack and substitute each bottle and tell you feel a difference??
I agree. The entire concept of an "ultralight" Nalgene is crazy to me.
Were the "scar" holes on the Jansport noticable before adding the velcro? I want to rip tags off some but not sure if I'll be able to mask the punctures without cover them 🤔
Not super noticeable but they are there. Possible that the fabric will relax some and mask them over.
Nice work, Threads. Awesome sewing machine. Stay safe and stay warm
That was surprisingly satisfying. I like that. I will definitely have my bride watch it. I know she will enjoy it.
Nice little kit, Threads. Thank you for sharing it with us. Stay safe and stay cool
Thank you Sean, hope you are doing well and staying warm!
Have you thought about selling some of your kits? You have great ideas. Some people find it easier to buy it than make it.
Maybe some day if there is interest
hi i like the look at this kit i may have to relook at my kit again and sub into your channel look forward to your next video
That's a nice hole punch reference 👌, well played Sir. My thoughts exactly, for a full sized hole punch with extended handle for extra working situations. Way too much to clip on the hip 😅.
That is a well thought out and important kit to carry.
I hasty grabbed the Mystery Ranch Marshall & love it hands down.
