That day I was riding far downwind at Jalama, where usually no one goes to because the wind is not reliable there most of the time. A blue far away kite on the video. At some point I spotted a guy swimming around a breaking line. I asked him if he was okay while passing by, but I didn't get an answer. im sorry.... is this a rental outdoor electric with front brakes? looks awesome
Front brakes, yes. But the tire compound is way too hard
I’d like to ask if this is at Silver License speed? Is Turn 1 taken at full throttle? I often lift off the throttle a bit before entering Turn 1😂. Also how fast your fastest lap in this video was. Your operation is incredibly smooth and impressive, great job👍
Hi Eric, yes, it's silver. Sometimes they mess up the speed, and we end up racing on bronze, which is about a second slower. However, the driving style doesn't differ much between bronze and silver. I take the banker turn at full throttle, but the angle, line, and timing of initiating the turn must be very precise. Otherwise, you lose speed by sending it too far sideways, getting too deep over the left-hand curb, or hopping over the right curb, even if the line looks "okay." A slight lift might still be a good option to initiate rotation into the corner without sliding, which can help to keep the kart rolling smoothly through the turn. it's hard for me to lift because sending it full throttle is pure joy and kind of a gamble factor. At night, my lap times on silver are usually in the range 35.5-36. Not sure about this particular one.
@@DenisShakhovsky Wow, thanks for sharing! Good to know that it's possible to send it at the banker turn full throttle. By the way, do you recommend going to the track during the day or at night? I went there and had races around 6 PM. One time the tires were warm, and another time they were pretty cold, sliding too much in the high-speed corner. Have you ever tried daytime racing? How's the grip? It sounds reasonable to have grippier tires during the day.
@@Eric-yc4eb, during the weekend, daytime feels less ideal, with almost no clean laps bc of the traffc. I prefer nighttime overall. chicanes could be a reason maybe. I'm still unsure which time is better for grip
@@DenisShakhovsky So that means the layout changes between daytime and nighttime?
This was lit. big ups.
Damn u have a clean line
during a night the clean line is easy. the handling is way better by the eod
Fuck ,Denis is amazing in the night 😲
Everybody is good at night. The track and the kart handling is so much better

"Прогулки по рекам и каналам Петербурга" :D
hey i have a question at 6:00 how do u get the kart to rotate like that?
i would say it's one of the key things in karting. you have to find as late brake point as possible where the kart starts rotating by itself with a minimum input from the steering wheel. at a certain point of aggressive braking, the track becomes like "ice". it's like you initiate the entry with a micro-drift. it does behave so at the time when it's on the edge of drifting but not yet. just because it's on the edge - it might be tricky to find and feel this point at first. as everything has to be connected at the time - the speed, the steering flick at the right timing of braking with the right brake pressure. and also the kart. the more understeery the kart - the more difficult it is to do this. the leaning is also one of the keys. keep your posture straight or even lean to the outside a bit. it will help you to carry more momentum through the corner without losing the rear (without drifting). as you lean to the outside, the rear gets connected better. also your feel of the kart gets way better. that's what makes it addictive - finding the edges. they make driving effortless as you make your kart turn with the other inputs rather than using just the steering wheel. and when the track has so many kart variations (from shitty to good) - it makes it more fun to drive as you have to find how to handle the kart in a better way. of course on a bad kart you won't be able to get same times as on a good one. but you need to find how to squeeze the maximum from the kart. it counts during the "king of speed" events when you drive the same karts as your opponent.
@@DenisShakhovsky ah i see thank you for the tips i’ve been needing them as i have started going to k1 more often
Hi Dennis, I've heard that after reaching 1500 points, the engine power increases. Is this true for the Torrance location? I also saw online that some people mentioned you need to ask the staff to increase the power manually. Could you please confirm if the engine power automatically increases after 1500 points or if we need to request it from the staff? Thanks!
Hi Eric. From my knowledge you need to ask for speed 4
@@DenisShakhovsky Thanks for the info! I went above 1500 today and I did feel the car run faster! Successfully got into the weekly rank.🙏🙏
THIS is the problem with "rental racing". They do not let you work on the kart. Different drivers have different styles, and require different settings. Different frames flex differently, and require different settings, or different seat placement to get the kart to work. It just wont ever be fair.
Naah. Just need some time to adapt
Good for you. I know the feeling.

Very good and safe kite landing. What's the date of your ride, what was the wind speed?
Last days of August i think. The wind was different. Quite strong and gusty in the morning and very light when i was making it back. The landing is pretty common.

@Denis Shakhovsky I'm planning to do either the Carlsbad or SD GP race this weekend. Carlsbad is asphalt and in my experience, asphalt has too much grip so mistakes don't hurt and it's very difficult to pass cleanly. It looks like this had the same issue though, where nobody was passing despite visible mistakes, until the big crash. Any comments or advice?
I've never tried a gp in Carlsbad. Therefore can't compare it to SD. In theory SD is easier to overtake in case if karts are equal.

Was it me or was a back marker racing you? Wtf?
When you are pushing does your kart bounce a lot? Whenever I race it does this and I’m wondering if it would be better to try to stop the bouncing or just let it happen.
There is one bouncy corner. But you might find a line to avoid the bumps there. Also the short lift at the bouncy part might help to smooth it out

In the C-Main, all rules become 'unwritten-rules', and unwritten-rules become urban-legends that no one believes.
C Main is just wild. you have to accept that almost no-one knows the rules. nobody knows kart limits. almost everybody is narrow focused. by keeping that in mind you gotta do "weird" things like on 2:54. in the other mains it looks like a mistake but here it's just the attempt to get off the high t-bomb-crash-risk zone )
