UNBOXING and Install - Waterdrop Under Sink Water Filtration System
มุมมอง 135K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Having our house water supply fed from a well the taste of our water left something to be desired. After a bit of research we decided on the Waterdrop under sink filter purchased from Amazon. This video walks through the contents of the box and shows how quickly and easily it can be installed with minimal tools. We are very happy with the outcome and the taste of our water now. We use it to fil...
DIY Van Table Build - Budget Upgrade!
มุมมอง 3093 ปีที่แล้ว
After toying with the idea of purchasing an adjustable table for the van, we decided to try and DIY something. It's not perfect, but it works for us. This one is just a proof of concept version that we needed to build prior to a short trip in the van; it will probably change once we use it and find out any flaws :-) Anyway, we hope that maybe you'll get some ideas and/or inspiration to create s...
SAVED FROM UNCERTAINTY! - John Deere 14SB Tricycler lawn mower
มุมมอง 6744 ปีที่แล้ว
I grew up around John Deere equipment. My father bought this lawn mower sometime in 1989. I still have the original owner's manual. We used it at our new house in town after moving from the farm. I joined the Air Force and moved away and my sister was no longer at home either. My parents moved from the "city house" to another home in the country and took the mower with them. The mower eventuall...
TOZO T6 Earbud - UNBOXING - The BEST AirPod Alternative?
มุมมอง 7K4 ปีที่แล้ว
This is our first attempt at an unboxing video :-). While still in a "stay home" status we haven't had the opportunity to get out and do any magnet fishing, so we thought we'd try something a little different. We had a few issues with getting decent audio, so we'll have to work on that for future videos. This unboxing is of the TOZO T6 Bluetooth Earbuds from Amazon. We were contemplating gettin...
COVERT Home Surveillance! See better in the DARK using IR LED Strips!
มุมมอง 1.1K4 ปีที่แล้ว
I came across some 940nm IR LED strips a while ago and have been trying to figure out how I could incorporate them into a project. I have worked with different types of IR illuminators, but always found them to be large, bulky, expensive, ugly, etc, etc. I thought there has got to be a better way of getting some additional IR illumination into an area. So, I came up with the concept of hiding t...
Magnet Fishing - We Hit The Jackpot This Time!!
มุมมอง 1324 ปีที่แล้ว
With the Coronavirus making its way into our county we got out one last time before the inevitable lockdown. We also decided to be responsible and stay home from here on out. So, here's one last magnet fishing video until this thing goes away. We hit the same area in McIntosh County where we first got hooked on magnet fishing and Lynn found the gun safe. If you haven't seen that one make sure y...
Magnet Fishing - Tan Lines and Cool Finds
มุมมอง 3574 ปีที่แล้ว
In this episode we try our luck on St Simon's Island and surrounding area. It was a beautiful day and, after spending our Saturday working in the yard, decided to take out the new magnets to see what we could pull up. Our efforts paid off when we angle in a nice Gerber multi-tool late in the day. It was a fun time spending the gorgeous day in the Golden Isles of South Georgia. Let us know what ...
Magnet Fishing - ATTACKED BY KILLER GNATS!!
มุมมอง 1074 ปีที่แล้ว
In this installment of our magnet fishing adventures we attempted to try out our two newest magnets. We purchased an 1800lb single and a 3600lb double-sided magnet. Excited to see what they could do we hurried out to Blythe Island, but were quickly reminded of how sometimes living in the Golden Isles bites. Literally. Lynn had just tossed the 3600lb in when we were swarmed by thousands of those...
Magnet Fishing: Trails, Rails, and Bones
มุมมอง 2494 ปีที่แล้ว
Back by popular demand! We took the opportunity of a beautiful day (except for the wind) to go magnet fishing at a few new locations. This time we did a little research and ended up in Camden County. Even though the spot we identified looked promising, they only gave up a few interesting items. We have decided that the difference between our locations and those other TH-camrs go to are the tide...
Magnet Fishing! All locked up!
มุมมอง 1504 ปีที่แล้ว
Today we tried three different locations around the Brunswick area. We first stopped by Liberty Park at the Sydney Lanier Bridge where we've gone kayaking before. We found a few bits of junk, but nothing exciting, so we moved on. Our second spot was the boat docks and fishing pier at Blythe Island County Park. This was a pretty nice park that we'll come back to for other adventures. However, th...
First time magnet fishing - We found a safe!
มุมมอง 3374 ปีที่แล้ว
After seeing a random video on TH-cam about magnet fishing we decided to give it a try. This video is a short log of our first excursion and the things we pulled up. The first location we went to was pretty much a bust, but we were able to test out the gear without much effort. The second location, a fishing pier near Darien, is where we hit the junk jackpot. Check out the video and leave us a ...

Are you sure those connections need Teflon tape? I thought if the connection has some type of washer, Teflon tape shouldn't be used.

That's odd. The way it is connected there should be no difference in pressure. We have two and neither reduced pressure. Double check your connections.

Enjoyed your video! I bought this after watching but now I can’t get the faucet flexipipe disconnected from the copper pipe 😢 I’ve even tried with 2 wrenches. Seems my plumber must have used some adhesive or cement to connect them. So disappointed 😞

As a matter of fact we are. I was just about to order a replacement filter. 3 yrs in and still working great. We also bought one for a new house. That one is approaching 2 yrs with no issues. I have no complaints about this filter.

where do you use the tephlon tape? I did not see you using the tephlon tape in your video. So after the water filter is installed and the cold water is turned back on if you just turn on the regular faucet - not the extra faucet that comes with the filter - are you getting unfiltered water so you are not using the filtered water just for washing dishes?

    • @liferocks8896
      @liferocks8896 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

Use the teflon tape on any of the threaded connections if needed. If I didn’t use any then the connections I made did not require any 😁. Yes, filtered water only comes out of the new faucet, not out of your regular faucet.

I have done everything on all my other water projects and this compression fitting keeps leaking even with the blue clips attached. This filter faucet is the only water issue I am having water was running everywhere all on top of my filter from that little piece!!!! I just removed it. I did not fully power on the main water and when I turned the water filter cutoff valve on the water was shooting out that piece. There are no threads for me to use Teflon tape or megaloc, so now I am stuck!!!! My dishwasher I installed, no leaks, my faucet I installed, no leaks, but this water drop is leaking and I haven’t even turned on it’s faucet it leaked from that little compression fitting with the blue clips, I will re connect and if it still leaks I will have to leave it off and contact waterdrop!!!! I really did not want to do this at all, but my return period is completely passed, but I may need to call in a dang plumber to fix this if a replacement part won’t work because I have already committed & purchased a spare filter in advance but have yet to experience one drop of this filtered water. I am not happy with waterdrop right now! Okay went back and re installed the part and it did not leak, faucet is flushing, now suddenly where the faucet handle connects, it started dripping so I guess if running for awhile it starts dripping? This faucet was already assembled at that part! Well, I may just shut that under sink valve off until I am using the filter faucet….I don’t want any surprise leaks or floods!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone on another video suggested that people with well water not use this one. You might get better results with a reverse osmosis unit with that well water you are getting? I have city water so this unit is better suited for water that is treated already but needing a little more to be purified.u

It's not recommended for well water because sediment from the well will clog the filter. You can still use this filter as long as you have a whole house filter to screen the sediment first. In my experience though whole house filters greatly decrease the water pressure in the whole house so I bypass mine.

This one by far is the best choice because there are more gallons and it lasts for 36 months (3years), the 10UB is the cheaper one...it costs $64. This one you have is $94. Each year you have to pay $22 for the 10 UB and $40 every 3 years for this one. 3 years 10 UB is nearly $70 total on cartridges, and in 3 years only $40, I will be buying the 17UB!!!!!

@@andyf7107 Waterdrop's web site specifically says this filter does not reduce TDS's. Apparently only their reverse osmosis filters do that.

    • @g91234
      @g91234 ปีที่แล้ว

@@andyf7107 Filters like these will not reduce TDS. Zero water uses ion exchange beads in filter to remove dissolved solids. but they only last for ~20 gallons. Filters with carbon blocks or gac (like this one) will not affect TDS, but do well in removing chlorine and will improve taste. some will say drinking water should have minerals as it is healthier. If you want to remove "TDS" then you need to go with an RO system.
