How to install the FitcamX for Land Rover Defender - 4K Front Dash Cam
The FitcamX is an ‘OEM’ looking camera that fits above the rear view mirror, replacing the OEM cover to the sensors. Its draws power through a jumper to a power source that’s attached to the rain sensor. The power source is easily identifiable as it’s a purple plug.
The setup is simple. The cover is attached by simple clips, the power source plug could be a bit cumbersome to remove (I was being sensitive to not rip any wires.) a small pick could be helpful to push it out a bit. The jumper install is easy and then the cover just clips back on.
This is for the Front 4K (2160p) 64GB

MY 2022; S P300. Out of the factory 11 inch screen was broken (easy fix). 500 miles in an air intake tube popped off (engine couldn’t start without air - would choke and die… LUCKILY - happened near a dealership; vs the day prior where I was 15 miles from cell service in the middle of a desert. That would have sucked. ) but easy fix. Either air tube wasn’t fitted right from the factory or something else. But since that first month. Had 25k miles. Trips to Canada and many national parks. No issues.

Nice! What dash cam are you using?
Actually using a DJI Pocket 2; and bought a case and have it placed on the front runner rack - allowing enough of a view of the horizon and hood. Want to try a more wide angle lense on it, and still playing around with which is the best 'follow' mode. Tried it a few times and noticed I get about 1 hour of continuous filming with it, as it sits in the sun up there.

Yes! Got new rims and put on the BFG's vs the 'off road' tires from the factory. Get more miles on that puppy it's fantastic. And yes, CA local. @californiaponder on insta!
