2023 F350 HO Diesel | 28,000lbs | Overweight?
มุมมอง 7Kปีที่แล้ว
We finally weigh the truck and trailer and as I suspected we are overweight. Is 250lbs something we should be concerned about? In the video I explain all 300 ish gallons of fluids are topped off in the trailer. I'm not sure if one of those tanks is in front of the trailer axles? I'll have to contact ATC, the trailer manufacturer to find out. Unfortunately the underside is covered with insulatio...
2023 F350 | How much does a SXS reduce pin weight in a Toy Hauler?
มุมมอง 19Kปีที่แล้ว
I was curious how much putting the SXS in the back of our toy hauler reduced the squat on the trailer. I've been a little concerned that I might be exceeding the rear axle gross weight rating. We won't know till we get it on the scales.
Dogosterone! Testosterone Replacement Therapy Update, Day 20 for Jupiter.
มุมมอง 1.2Kปีที่แล้ว
We found a dog treatment called dogosterone. It is marketed as a testosterone replacement therapy for neutered dogs. It's the same therapy that is provided for human males that have low testosterone levels. Follow us on Jupiter's progress on TRT.
Highway Fuel Economy, 2023 F350 HO Diesel

Very pleasantly surprised at how good the fuel economy is on my Super Duty. I'll be doing another drive in a few days that will be longer and at 70-75mph.
2023 F350 Wheel Corrosion Problem

I briefly show the suspension on the new Super Duty and show a problem I have found with the truck. Since the truck was new it has had these corrions spots on the wheels. I'm going to take it back to Ford to see if they will warranty it. I'll keep you posted
2023 F350 Lariat High Output Diesel, Pulling 19,000lb ATC Toy Hauler Over Eisenhower Pass
มุมมอง 38Kปีที่แล้ว
This is my new F350 Lariat pulling our ATC Toy Hauler on a 2000 mile road trip. The trailer weighs about 19,000lbs loaded and is 45' long and 13.5' tall. This is my first diesel and other than making some mistakes trying to get into small gas stations the trip was uneventful for the truck and trailer. I plan to do some future videos with the truck and trailer. Enjoy
KRX1000 GPS Top Speed, Texplex Long Course
มุมมอง 4922 ปีที่แล้ว
I was curious what the actual top speed of the KRX1000 was so I hooked up my GoPro Hero8 to the car and turned on the GPS. Unfortunately my GoPro only has a 1 Hz refresh rate of the GPS so the speed is constantly lagging behind. What I was able to conclude is the KRX speedometer is 2-3mph fast. The highest top speed I saw was 64mph on the GPS but 67-68mph on the speedometer. I think the actual ...
Kawasaki KRX 1000 Crash at Texplex

This was the long course at Texplex in Midlothian TX. The long course is a lot of fun. I'm used to riding out west in the rockies and desert, not really into riding the woods and mud. This is about as close as you can get in TX to some more high speed riding with long flowing jumps. I wish the course had a few more jumps but it's only $25 to ride all day. There are several MX tracks and some ot...

EPIC RIDE, 500 MILES! MOAB AND BACK
มุมมอง 1443 ปีที่แล้ว
My brother from another mother and I do a 500 mile ride to Moab and back over about 4 days. One of the most epic rides of my life. We have about 3 hours of footage I condensed down to 5 minutes for your viewing pleasure. I do a ride like this every year in memory of my dad who passed away riding. This year Mike decided to join me and I think he'll be back for the next one. I'm on my KTM 450SX-F...

how uncomfortable when you drive over bad road surfaces? I assume these trucks are just worse since their solid axes suspension?
Thank you so much for explaining this. We do live in Dallas and so far had no luck finding any Vet who can help us. Can you please kindly guide me for my senior dog who is suffering very much with weak hind legs and it is killing us to see her in pain. Please let me know where can I go and who can help us, any guidance is much appreciated, God bless you. I couldn't find your contact in the description or your profile.
Not sure what you feed him but muscle mass is irrelevant compared to bones structure and density He wouldn't need therapy if you fed him his natural diet, raw meat and organs, should have fed him organs when he was developing he wouldn't have any problems. Same thing with humans when they don't eat their natural diet (which is also raw meat and organs) problems arise when the real problem is lost instincts
@@MEDIEVALMXNE I agree and he has been on raw diet. Sometimes when we are traveling he eats kibble.

What was your actual pin weight loaded?
@@gkubiak1 3000lbs but I’m going to weigh it again tomorrow.
@@time_on_target appreciate the update!
Great video and nice set up. Does your truck have the on board scales? I’m curious how much weight they would show you have with the sxs inside vs outside.
We’re about to emBARK on this same thing. How is Jupiter now, did it work ? Update please!
Okay so what's the answer? I've got add, I'm not gonna sift through 20 minutes of video for a number that takes 5 seconds to put in a description.
I have a 23 lariat HO deleted, towing 13k fifth wheel. 4 adults on board Got a max speed at 60-68mph on 8.5% uphill. 27-29psi turbo boost. Full throttle. Stock power level tune.
Miss your videos. Do you still tow with your truck? Trying to decide between f350 vs f450.
Yes. Love the truck. I should do an update. Like anything the truck has it’s flaws. The screens can be slow initially in extreme hot and cold temps so you have to give them a minute or two to warm up. We experience the same issues in the aircraft I fly so it’s to be expected.
What happened to this guy? Quit making videos?
@@R7Lyfe haha, so busy with work. I’m a pilot in the military so they keep me pretty busy.
Terrible thing to do to a Mustang!coyotes way better
I go threw & back there once a year. Its a sketchy pass lol
Dream setup
I just found out that on highway driving I would put the truck on normal mode in regards to sudden acceleration and on eco mode the engine use minimal power and force acceleration due to passing vehicles and uphill will hurt the mpg, I tested it and I get better results in normal mode.
Are you still happy with your set up or do you wish you would have gone with a dually
@@ryanhurley9829 love it. I have no desire to own a dually.
That is going to be a fun ride, I have a 67 Camaro drag car but have been thinking about a Mustang with a LS.
I pulled thru there 10 months ago with my 6.0 gasser chevy towing my 8k loaded travel trailer. I was averaging 3mpg at 30mph at 3,700rpms litterally was getting passed by bicyclists 😂😂jk but felt like it. Needless to say my truck got us thru our 10k mile journey without sny negative incident but i was longing for more power so now im a proud owner of a 24 f350 h.o and oh lordy what a beaut😉😉. Just wanted to share my experience. Great video by the way.
@@livewire2474 I love the truck. Only dislike is the emissions equipment, DEF is nasty.
Thank you for this. I been on TRT for 3 years now. Dog turned 12, husky mix same symptoms as video but worse. I feel so bad for agreeing to nuder him when we adopted him at 12 weeks old 😞. I’ll be giving him TRT test enanthate basically same ester as cyp. 🙏🏻 I hope it helps him.
DOT needs to start checking on folks like this, that's too much for a single axle truck! common sense dude!
3050 pin with gen. Where are your air bags?? it's really important to understand your setup and know the limitations of the truck, this is how accidents happen. you are taking too much weight from the drive axle.. I honestly feel that CDL classes are needed to avoid folks like that have no business being on the road, licenses are a must now that these trailer are getting heavier.
@@carlosandrade7439 it’s a gooseneck with the ball directly over the rear axle. It doesn’t remove weight from the drive axle like a conventional trailer would. The truck is level when we tow
subcutaneous and 27g needles are the way to go. Load the syringe with a 18g needle and inject with 27g.
I use 31 gauge insulin syringe. Back load it. Your welcome.
Great video. I’m not “that guy”…. One recommendation only. You mentioned how much weight the fluids were in your video as you traveled to your destination. Care about my fellow rv’rs….. run your trip dry without fluids and once close to your destination you can top everything off (mountain traveling). Keep on trucking’!
Need another update
GOD that Cluster is Sooooooooo Plain!!!! Don't really need a Pic of the truck I am driving while I am Driving it!! I know you can customize it, but its still P L A I N!! Why cant they add the Numbers to the Speedo and Tach???
Swap out to a smaller needle. You can draw and push test cyp with a 27g. Massive difference on needle size. Good job on working to keep your pup healthy. Edit: discuss doing subcutaneous, into the "skin " vs. IM. SUB-Q slower release.
So awesome! ❤ love this.
What about in construction?
I wonder if it is brake dust from the fronts etching the paint.
Only happened on two wheels though, one front wheel and one rear wheel. I think there was something done incorrectly when the wheels were painted/powder coated.
Still nobody in Canada offering this...The one sperson that did, died
Quick update on Jupiter because people have been asking. We stopped doing the weekly lower dose injections just because I was not always available to stay consistent with this. We went back to doing once a month injections of .6ml I’m his left and right hamstrings. He’s doing so much better on the TRT and he will be on it for the rest of his time with us. Without it he can hardly move around.
Thanks for the update! I’ve been coming back every couple of months since I seen this back in 2023 to look for a follow up.
How were you able to get ahold of the dogosterone? The vet I have an appointment with in 5 days is 3 hours away. I'll make the trip, but man it would be great to be able to do this at home. That vet is by far the nearest one that administers dogosterone.
Is there any way to get an update from you as to how this went for you?
100% recommend it. Jupiter is doing a lot better on the testosterone replacement therapy. We are giving him one shot of .6ml a month. Obviously the best solution is to not get your dog neutered. We listened to the BS vets sell telling you that you’re saving your dog by neutering them which is a complete lie. That would be like saying all male men should be neutered and someone how that will improve their quality and length of life? It’s all about money and not about your dogs health. Stop neutering your animals is the solution.
@@time_on_target thanks so much for the update. this therapy seems pretty legit (have an appt set for next week with dogosterone vet) but I cannot locate many actual case stories so yours is appreciated 👍
Put some LT295/65R20 E 129/126Q tires on it that have a 4080 lb weight rating. That will give you a bigger safety factor of 8160 lbs on the rear.
F450 AND PROBLEM IS SOLVED!
You need that testosterone more than he does
Sag city, USA
Lol. It actually sits about level. Once we put the SXS in the back and as long as I don’t fill the 300 gallons of water we are fine. Pin weight is only 3k lbs and we have a payload of 4200lbs.
Your knuckles are so white. It’s ok to be afraid. 450 550 Dually all day long.
Don’t get fresh water until you’re near your destination. 200 gals water is 1600 lbs. single wheel with that much weight is cruising for a bruising.
Yeah. We don’t drive around with it full anymore. 1600lbs of water forward of the trailer axles increases the pin weight. I don’t like water sloshing around in there but so we only keep about <50 gallons in the tank.
I wonder if Granger does invoice pricing and then gives you the Ford A plan on top.
Load utv in backwards keeps motor weight off tail end will tow better
You need to sell that Wanna be Pickup and get a real Truck to Safely Tow that investment 👌
Throw some AirLift 5000 bags w/ onboard compressor and wireless controller on there with the internal bump stop. I'm sure it would smooth out your ride, bring you more to level or higher.
Ordered a 2024 should get it next month can’t wait.
I get DEF from Walmart 2.5 gallons 10$.
You need to check your bridge length. Since you changed to a genY your now what, maybe 5-6 inches further back from its original fifthwheel pin box. You'll have to messer from your center hub of drive axle to I believe it's the center hub of center trailer axle. Look up charts for commercial vehicles bridge laws. You may need to add more plates behind your pin box mount and move your genY box further back. That would then transfer some of the drive axle weight to the steer axle. This is why you see us truckers sliding our fifthwheel plates closer to our sleepers so we can slide the weight to the steers. You were still under gross weight so your problems at the genY. Get more trailer in bed of truck , get that weight on your steers.
you need a bigger truck... duelly , imho.. nice looking rig otherwise🎉
Needs a M2 class 106, got the money for that trailer, get em for 200 grand, 4 door, pull that trailer like a dream,,
Yea he pulled the I 70 grade, its 6 to 7 per cent grade, other issue he going to have taking weight off his, truck, he get on a 8 per cent or 9,, he going to spin the rear tires, I drove over the road, some grades, had to have all eight tires locked in, or the four would spin,,
Here's the deal, your trailer twice a heavy as your truck, yea, anything can pull up a hill, down a hill, but what guys don't understand, you go into corners, with a three axle, or that much weight, it's going to push your ass, sideways, that's why ya need more tires on your tow vehicle, and weight, ,
It's a ATC. Look it up,, there all aluminum, no wood, that a 43 ft, he can do 23000,lbs, 155, 000, bucks, yea, his truck pretty wimpy, for that trailer,,, trailer be moving his ass all over the road,,
My concern is the dog riding in the back bed..
