Came looking for the part number mostly but very good explenation on how to make the replacement, thanks for sharing!
Awesome build! What size are those little black nylon washers? Do you remember where you got them? Great idea for the hardware! Thanks for the cool videos
Thanks man! I don’t remember the exact size, but I got them at ACE hardware. If I remember correctly, they’re black nylon washer, or fiber washers. They do a nice job of preventing the paint from chipping/marring when tightening the bolts.
@@joelvillalobos4279 thanks for the quick reply! I’m thinking 1/4 ID X 3/4 OD will do the trick! My stainless steel hardware is m6 X 19mm. Will check out Ace! Thanks again!
Installed this a few weeks ago on my ek hatch - so far a great product- a couple of times I forgot to toggle the kill switch to run and gave myself a scare …
Fanily someone who can shift
Yep, think I'm gonna be a dork and put this on my 21 RDX. Like ur wheel choice btw, got the same ones 🤙
The purpose was defeated the moment you posted this you not telling us where you hid does nothing because we already no where to look for the main relay that you used if we were a thief and knew you FYI JUST SAYING NO Hard FEELINGS 😅
Do you still like the coil overs ?- i am looking for a coil over that I can lower the ride height by a couple of inches but still have daily driver comfort - non track car - just want to eliminate the monster truck ride height of stock set up
Honestly, I can’t complain. They have been great for me, but I only have a couple thousand miles on them. I don’t track the car, just a summer weekend warrior. Although, once the kswap is complete I am going to auto cross the car, so we will see.
@@joelvillalobos4279 looking forward to the kswap content…. I am still happy with the d series for now as I am working on upgrading the brakes .. I have been keeping an eye on the b18c prices just in case a good deal pops up…
Same problems here. Going back to stock
Yeah, it’s unfortunate, because it’s a nice shifter.
Clean car and nice parts
Where did you buy the Sir emblem from?
ICB Motorsports.
Nice man I have a rbb3 and rbb4 to swap in hatches. Good grab. New sub
Hope everything goes well with your k swapp. Sub 🎉
Thanks for the sub! I hope so too! I tried my best to plan it out as best as I possibly could. 🤞🏽
Reckon I'm going to get one of these for my DC2. Very straightforward and simple in a good way. Plus saves me trying to find a Honda relay if mine ever gives up the ghost. Thanks for the vid and BTW very nice car you have there. 🙂👍 Looks like a DCR shift knob?
Anybody in a hemi?
ANYBODY WANNA GET OUT A HEMI😂
I'm guessing a B16 trans?
No, GSR transmission
Very cool bro🔥👍💯
Thanks 🔥
do you need new rod bolts if you plan on just setting the rev limiter to 7800?
From my experience, I would say no. I believe the rev limit for the b20 is 7200 or 7300. I haven’t had an issue with a 7800 limiter, and I know plenty of people who rev it well over 8,000. That being said, I rarely find my self taking it to the 7800 limiter because there is so much mid range torque you don’t need to, and plus, with the stock GSR intake manifold and the stock header, I don’t think I’m gaining much by going all the way to 7800.
My brother got a 94 ej1 and he got it stolen in school parking lot when he was in high school now it’s mine definitely getting this fs don’t want that happened again
Nice engine bay. All three of my del sols have the B16 and just ordered my cover today.
What brand battery cables are those?
They are made by a company called RunHard. Unfortunately, the guy who had a huge presence and a great reputation on IG, just vanished, and unsure why. I believe Rywire, Wirexorx, Hybrid, make them.
Just ordered mine for my Type S prelude. Thanks for posting a video. I like the run hard industries battery wires but couldn't find their info online.
Run Hard just vanished off of IG and all social media. No clue what happened, but he was a stand up dude, with a great product. 🤷🏽♂️
Got one for the 94 prelude, got some mf following me home from work got me worried lol.
I am also having the same issues and also my first gear keeps hitting my hybrid plate. I've tried everything and including contacting them and nothing has been resolved as of yet. I wouldn't expect any of this for a very expensive upgrade.
have the same leak - thank you for the how,to ….
Sad how this thing cost over 300 dollars now and they can’t get this right. I ran the most recent K-tune shifter on my ek back when it was single cam. The feel was decent but what annoyed me was that the little Allen bolts would always rattle and come loose. After some lock tight it fixed the issue. Now that I swapped my car to b series. I was running the stock b16 shifter and it felt okay but I wanted a shorter feel so I got the hybrid racing that I always wanted. Now I can’t stand it with the annoying rattles it makes when I drive above 60 mpg. I’m going to get a new shift linkage and go with a Megan racing short shifter or try to find another K-tune.
its pretty common among all aftermarket shifters. i have a B&M short shifter and it does it as well.
Should definitely hide that relay somewhere further in the dash anyone that knows what they're looking for can just unplug the switch and connect the two black wires together
That is a good point. If I drove the car daily and left it parked for long periods of time, I would, but when I drive it, it never is parked for more the short periods, or it’s in eye shot.
Just got one for my em1, now i just have to figure out ware i want to hide the switch. when my eg is back on the road I'll be getting another. I definitely feel you on being paranoid about the car getting stolen.
Does it drain the battery if you flip it on and leave the vehicle parked for a couple hours?
I have the same problem. I was thinking maybe I could use a smaller bolt for the shift rod then make a delrin bushing sleeve to go inside the metal bushing. I think it’s possible that the vibration comes from the bolt contacting the metal like you were saying. So much work for an expensive shifter though it sucks to have a big problem like this.
It is unfortunate, but when used in the application it was intended for, the noise wouldn’t be a problem or even noticeable.
Very informative 😊
What company makes the battery cables?
A company called Run Hard. He is nowhere to be found on IG. He just up and vanished, and not sure why. His products and support was too notch. A good guy for sure. Hope everything is okay with him.
@@joelvillalobos4279 I found out that someone by the username sergmotive_garage runs them now
Can you flip the kill switch with the car on to turn the car off ??
That I don’t know. I would go try, but the car is put away for the winter.
@@joelvillalobos4279 jdi said it doesn’t
It’s supposed to shut off the ECU as well as the fuel pump, so flipping the switch off should cut fuel also.
@@ohxietviet JDi, the company that makes and sells this kit told me that flipping the kill switch with the car on, will NOT turn the car off/ kill the car. I looked into how to do this myself, it’s basically a NHRA drag racing style switch needed. A 2 post can be used. Just a master disconnect switch. Battery and alternator to one post and the fuse box to the other… my reason for the switch is to have a personal in-cab switch to kill the car in case of any need/ fire, emergency, etc. I’ve got a heavily modified engine bay and wire tuck. Also, fyi, the drag racing switches must be mounted on the rear bumper demanded by the rules. In case you crash, the techs can kill the car even if you flipped. It will kill the engine/ battery instantly, shutting off the fuel.
@@user-hh4hc2lt6e I just went out to my car and tested it. It does, in fact, shut off the car when running.
Hows ur b20v still good??
The b20v is going strong. I only have about 3,000 miles on it and don’t daily drive. I only drive it in the summer. Compression is 180 +/- 10psi variation, and doesn’t consume oil.
1/4 mile time??
Unfortunately, I don’t have a near by track out here in Montana. I’m guessing a low 14 on street tires 🤷🏽♂️
I would not mount the relay in stock location. I would tuck that mf all the way back and zip tie that fkng wire all around and hide that black cable tuck it in between the original cables.
Glad I found this. It seems like nobody else has this is issue. ,I’ve is the same way. It sucks because this was expensive but that rattle is unacceptable.
Yes, it is unfortunate. It is a really nice piece, and works really well.
Just ordered mine for Black Friday! Can’t wait to install
How was it?
I need to ask JDI if this would work in a Toyota Highlander. I didn’t see a Toyota option for the relay switch on their website.
Honestly, I have no clue. I wish I could be more help. Good luck though.
Lol so much work put into slapping a vtec head on that b20 just to rev it that far and run the chance of spinning a bearing or thrashing the bolts 😮
The limiter is set at 7700rpm. The stock tach reads high in the upper rpm’s.
Thank you very much for your great and in depth video on this product. I'm buying one for certain because of your video. I love how simple and effective it is. I'm like you, I hate to leave my car parked anywhere sketchy for any amount of time.
Thanks Corey! This is a simple solution and very effective. Good luck with the install.

🙏🏽 Thank you, friend!🙏🏽
Super clean hatch! Are those OEM 3 door front and rear splash guards? I've been trying to source a set for my hatch and was just wondering if you mind sharing what set you have installed?
Thank you! Yes, these are oem splash guards, and were on the vehicle when I purchased it. I believe they are discontinued, unfortunately.
is it really 61k miles on the car?
Yes! Well, it now has 63k and change.
@@joelvillalobos4279 thats awesome bro very low mileage are getting harder to find!
How's it been the last couple days for you? Any issues?
I’ve had it on the car for over a month, without any issues. The switch feels solid and all of the wire connectors are of high quality. For the price, quality, and ease of installation, you can’t go wrong.
@@joelvillalobos4279 awesome thankyou!
OMG MR.V
Nice bro how is it holding up? No issues reving it up that high being that is stock?
Thanks! Seems to be holding up just fine. The stock tach is off by 500/600 rpm. I have the fuel cut set at 7700. Honestly, because I still have the stock exhaust manifold, and stock GSR intake manifold, it starts to run out of steam around 7400 rpm anyways, but the added midrange from the 2.0l in noticeable compared to the 1.8 GSR block.
