There's no surviving heir to Krishna deva raya. His son and crowned prince was poisoned to death. His half brother, Achyuta deva raya who succeeded his throne had a bitter enmity with Krishna debaraya.

The present Krishna Deva Raya is to be much appreciated for his openness and sincerity in his talk and his respect in following the long established traditions and love for Dharmic way of life.He is to be much applauded for his way of life and the renovation of his 200 yrs old house. My sincere opinion is he should continue the way he is doing now with out entering politics-a vicious net. To honor him is to honor our past glorious history of Krishnaraya and Ramaraya which he deserves.

We are fortunate that we still have heirs of that great Kings, great lineage in front of our eyes. Krishnadeva raya garu. There were many kings that ruled our land. But the great Vijayanagar Empire, specially Sri Krishnadeva Raya are very very special to us, to the whole country. People lived in plenty during those days. As historians from abroad praised , they were selling, piles of jems, diamonds on the roads. This denotes the wealth of the empire. People were very contended and living secured, plentiful lives. Literature reached its zenith. Asta diggajalu contributed works if immense value to the nation. We visited Hampi, and really mesmerized looking at its grandeur. Visited Virupaksha alayam which your Rajaguru Vidyaranya initiated. You will have blessings of all the gods you have served, and people of the country. I am very sorry to listen that some body from political circle belittled your stature. They should be ashamed of it. You are carrying good thoughts, good samskara passed through your forefathers. The Great Vijayanagara Empire. Diverse culture Dynasty's inscriptions are there in Kannada and Krishnadevarya's Guru also Kannadiga but he contributed lot to Telugu language, culture and people they are missing this from many centuries because most of the time South India were either ruled by Kannadigas or Tamilians but During his days Astadiggajas wrote some beautiful works and Telugu language also promoted. Bonding between Kannadigas and Telugulites are stronger from his days.
Yes. Krishna devaraya was supposedly a tuluva Nayaka. He fostered and promoted all the south Indian languages which was under his rule. Tulu lost it's script hundreds of years back. So we tuluvas learnt the language prevalent in the place where we settled.

@@prajwalreddy1189 Yes Astadiggajas Are Telugu's that's what I am saying Telugu works are preserved and nurtured well reason why we have more Telugu works during his days unlike Kannada,Tamil works we can easily find these two be it any period because most of the time they both were ruled by their own ethnicity.
