Only Accepting $10 Orders For An Entire Day | Uber Eats, Grubhub, DoorDash

  • With extremely high gas prices, is it worth EXTREME cherry picking for an entire day. That's what I tried to accomplish during this day of delivery driving for DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub. I knew this would be difficult as most orders I receive typically fall within the $2-$6 range, so I would need to decline many offers throughout the day.
    Usually, Uber Eats and Grubhub are the apps that would show higher total payouts and it would be a rare occasion to see DoorDash show anything higher than $7.00. The best times to work would be the lunch and dinner times and avoid 2:30-4:00, since that would most likely lead to low paying offers. If you want to focus on $10 orders, have a daily quota of 4-6 of those. Also, have a daily quota of 3 for $6.xx, $7.xx, $8.xx and $9.xx orders. You'll do very well and always busy, no down time. Once you max out your quota on the lowest tiers, stop accepting them and only focus on the higher tier orders until you hit those quotas. Thank me later!

    People _really_ underestimate the importance of time efficiency relative to mileage efficiency, as well as how pickup and dropoff times eat into profits. One of the things I really like about Uber Eats is that it shows a time estimate. While that time estimate isn't perfectly accurate, it can still give you baseline of what you want to be looking for. Maybe you figure it will take 10 minutes more per order? Add that. Or maybe 25% longer? Then factor that into the orders you're willing to accept.

    A bit deceptive Jacob... most 'markets' won't work that way... nice gimmick for a video but no real and too many 'new' drivers are conned by the apps already. If you want to make steady $ you need to do the work up front... that is, you need to figure what is profitable for you in your market... what is the max dollars to miles you will accept and then stick to that plan. But before that you need to understand all your expenses.. gas, maintenance (oil changes, tires etc) and insurance.. then what is your time worth.. at least minimum wage for your area... then work out a plan. I've written it out on a 'cheat' sheet that after over a year.. I still check it. These days most markets outside of a large metro areas don't give you a return trip... so when you accept.. figure up front that it will be double the miles... THAT is what causes most to fall far short of minimum wage.

    Bro, just park illegally for 5 minutes, put your hazards on if you think it will help, get in and out and move on. Handicap, no park zones, everything is in play for me because nobody can ticket or tow you fast enough.

    • @PhoenixDeliveries
      @PhoenixDeliveries  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess that's true. I just don't want to be an inconvenience to others by parking illegally

    Its not ambitious. These are the only orders I accept. I cash out no less than $100/day.

    You dont know high mileage if you think 7 miles is high.Some days if I only accept $10 and higher orders every order will be 11-25 miles in my area.

    • @PhoenixDeliveries
      @PhoenixDeliveries  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If I saw those orders for 11+ miles for $10 I’d have to reject them

    • @Art_V101
      @Art_V101 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PhoenixDeliveries Sometimes you feel you have to accept them as 80% of the orders coming in are $2,$3,$4 for 3-10 miles.My market is just over saturated with drivers,its too difficult doing this.The long ones I take have to be at least somewhat doable,like maybe $13-$14 for 9-11 miles,mileage is not ideal but you have to do it
